Adorned with a very Christmassy look and feel, the *October Look Fantastic Beauty Box arrives in a stunning gold print design making a nice change from their usual black signature box. Between now and December each box will presented in a limited edition print making them ideal to gift at Christmas! Design aside, the contents are just as loveable especially if you’re a skincare junkie as it literally covers all skin types and concerns! As always you can expect to see good sized samples from both well-known and emerging brands with lots of new and exciting discoveries on board.
The Look Fantastic box offers a selection of handpicked, must have beauty fixes wrapped in a beautifully presented box and delivered straight to your door. The beauty box will always include a minimum of six products and offers a selection of skincare, haircare, cosmetic and body products, catering to every kind of beauty lover.
This month’s box is filled with a generous mix of treats and showcases the brands Nuxe, Murad, Monu, Balance Me, Percy & Reed, Elemis and an eyeshadow brush from Charity Look good feel better.
1. Elemis Hydra-Balance Day Cream – Travel Size 20ml
This ultra-light, anti-oxidant rich day cream provides continuous hydration and helps balance normal to combination skin. Hyaluronic acid locks in essential moisture, whilst Meadowsweet extract regulates oil production. The aromatic blend of petitgrain, neroli and mandarin helps to instantly comfort. Skin is left feeling perfectly hydrated, balanced and supple.
Whilst I’ve pretty much got my skincare routine spot on this does sound rather appealing for my oily skin, I love the calming aspect to it!
2. Murad AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser – Travel Size 50ml
This high-performance exfoliating cleanser benefits from AHA/BHA and promises to leave your skin cleansed and refined, with dullness and dehydration polished away and texture and tone noticeably improved to make the skin brighter and more youthful.
I gave this a quick trial over the weekend and without a doubt this left my skin feeling squeaky clean. I’m moving more towards skincare with AHA/BHA as they work extremely well to reduce clogged pores and keep the skin clear.
3. Monu Firming Moisturiser – Travel Size 25ml
Suited for dry skin types, the Monu Firming Moituriser is a Marine Collagen enriched cream to soften and smooth the skin containing aromatic Neroli and Lavender essential oils as well as Glycerin and Coconut oil to soften and moisturise.
Think this is a little rich for my oily skin but it’s a great winter essential for those who suffer from dry skin.
4. Balance Me Radiance Face Mask – Travel size 30ml
Face masks have to be my favourite part of the skin care routine they’re a great pick me up after a long week at work!
Balance Me promise natural but affordable skincare and don’t use any harmful ingredients in their products, and where possible are 100% naturally sourced.
The mask comes in a generous size and claims to deeply cleanse, exfoliate and brighten the skin with an incredible line up of ingredients such as ground walnut shells, kaolin clay, rosemary, palma rose, lavender and chamomile oils.
Unlike face masks that we’re use to this works a little differently and has a similar consistency of an exfoliator. You simply rub in circular motions to release the beads and leave it for 5 minutes to work the rest of it’s magic before removing with warm water.
5. Percy & Reed – Travel Size 30ml
Since discovering my first Percy and Reed product last year, a few of their styling products have taken center stage on my dressing table and rightly so as not only is their packaging pretty and girly but most importantly I find that their products deliver and work well in taming my troublesome hair so I’m always happy to welcome a new discovery from their collection.
This hair saviour nourishes, repairs and adds volume to hair. The oil is lightweight and silky smooth, which absorbs instantly once applied to towel dried hair. The pump dispenser means you don’t end up wasting any oil which is always bonus. Containing violet extract this also has a lovely scent and leaves my hair smooth, frizz-free and shiny. Another impressive product from Percy & Reed that I’m delighted to have within my collection.
6. Nuxe Reve De Miel Hand and Nail Cream – Travel size 15ml
My Verdict
Covering every aspect of your skincare routine from cleansing, exfoliating to moisturising as well as tackling dry hands and problematic hair, this month’s line up is full of everything you’ll need to help replenish, protect and weather-proof yourself for the colder weather ahead. Whilst the contents are very skincare orientated this month the products themselves cover various concerns so there’s literally something for everyone to enjoy, not forgetting the eyeshadow brush which is a very welcomed addition this month even more so as it supports such a great cause. As always, there’s a wide variety of well known brands on board and the products are really generous in size so you’ll be able to give them a good trial run to see whether you like them or not.
