Whilst I love all my beauty box deliveries, Period Box has very quickly become a necessity for me, not because of the practicality itself but the actual thoughtfulness behind the concept which is to pamper their customers with a variety of chic and premium treats when they need it the most. The *November Period Box features a lovely line up from beauty products to stationary as well as chocolate, tea and a heat pad for when you’re rolled up in bed. In comparison to the last edition I reviewed, this month’s box is definitely back on form with some interesting new discoveries and not forgetting those key sanitary essentials which ensure you’re fully covered!

Period Box is a premium UK monthly subscription service that bundles your choice of tampons and pads with hand-picked goodies and exquisite treats to cheer you up when you most need it. With every box you will receive a selection of premium teas, chocolates from artisan manufacturers, high-end beauty samples and an unique design gift or a beautiful art print by their featured artist of the month. Period Box literally takes care of everything and will ship your package five days before your period is due and no matter what your preferences are your box is completely bespoke to meet your needs both day and night.

1. Period Essentials (2-3 days cycle)

As always I go for the short flow customised package which is for a 2-3 days cycle that consists of a mixture of pads suitable for both day and night. Inside the box there’s 10 pads (mixture of day and night pads) with four liners too. Period Box caters for all types of flows and your preferences can be chosen when you curate your box.

For me personally the box always includes the perfect amount of pads and liners from Always, a brand that I trust and turn to and find them super comfortable, reliable and discreet.

As well as the above the box also includes a heat patch to help relieve cramps and abdominal pain, something which is always handy to have on standby.

2. Beau Jardin Lavender & Jasmine Shower Gel and Body Lotion – Travel Size 50ml each

As the cold evenings begin to kick in there’s nothing more relaxing than having a nice hot shower accompanied by a soothing shower gel & body cream to wash the day away and aid a good nights sleep.

This month you can expect to see a travel sized Shower Gel and Body Lotion from Beau Jardin. Classically packaged and carefully formulated, the therapeutic essential oils of Mediterranean Lavender and the scent of alluring Jasmine promise to harmonise the senses. Enriched with Nature’s extracts of vitamin E, almond oil, shea butter and oat bran it creates a deeply nourishing blend with no parabens or sulfates.

3. Detox with Lemon Tea from Pukka Tea – 3 sachets

Whatever your cup of tea, I love that Period Box include a variety of unique tea’s from different companies, mainly sourced from brands I’ve not heard of before but this month features one of my favourite brand Pukka Tea,  who tea’s are tasty, satisfying and warming.

With the crispness of aniseed, sweet fennel and tingling cardamom, come droplets of sun-ripened lemons: the zest of lemon peel; the zip of lemon myrtle; the zing of lemongrass. Just from the description this definitely sounds like an uplifting tea, perfect for those cold winter mornings.

5. Montezuma Milk Chocolate with Butterscotch – Full Size RRP £2.39

Period Box really know how to spoil a girl and all subscribers can expect to see a full sized bar of chocolate inside their box each month giving you a real chocolate fix as when you need it the most.

This month showcases Montezuma, a brand that I’ve very quickly fallen in love with since my first ever introduction. This isn’t a combination I’ve tried before so I’m looking forward to my first bite.

6. “Let your Butterflies Go” Notebook by Ella Goodwin

I am such a sucker for cute stationery and this pretty notebook is just so adorable. It has been designed exclusively by Ella Goodwin for Period Box subscribers and inside there’s an inspirational quote “Let you Butterflies Go” which translates into let go of your fears and anxieties and aim for the moon!

Ella’s work is inspired by fairy tales and folklore, craft and nature taking you through a whimsical world of delicately detailed scenes and characters. You can visit her Etsy Shop here which showcases some of her amazing illustrations.

My Verdict

I’m pleased to report that this month’s edition definitely brings back some of the key things I love about Period Box with lovely contents and new discoveries to match.  Covering all areas from soothing body treats, indulgent chocolate, uplifting tea to an adorable notepad exclusively designed for Period Box subscribers I absolutely adore the line up. The presentation and the wrapping as always is something which always gets full marks from me and I love that they don’t release any spoilers meaning it’s a complete surprise when it arrives. Whilst it’s lovely to receive a selection of pampering treats the sanitary essentials ensure you’re covered right the way through without the last minute panic of rushing to a supermarket!

We all look for comfort and indulgence in the form of sweet offerings and pampering treats to get us through the cycle and this box hits all the right spots covering you for the first day to even the last day of your period whilst accommodating for all of the uncanny stuff that happens in between!
