You Beauty Discovery is a monthly beauty subscription service where you get choose two products of your choice from both well-known and emerging brands and they also throw in 2-3 bonus samples. Each month you’ll find a shortlist that’s been centered around a theme.
1. Josh Wood Dark Brown Instant Root Concealer Spray – Full Size 75ml RRP £12.50
Since discovering the Josh Wood Blending Wand inside my February You Beauty Discovery box it really was a no brainer for me to pick the newly launched Instant Root Concealer Spray as I was pretty impressed with the wand.
This easy-to-use spray-on formula offers an instant, non-permanent, blend-able colour solution to disguise both greys and regrowth between salon visits as well as also helping to build lift and create volume.
There’s nothing worse than spotting a family of grey hairs when you’re due to go out so I can’t wait to give this a go and hoping the same qualities have been passed down to this spray version.
2. The Library of Fragrance Gin & Tonic Purse Spray – Travel Size 15ml. Worth £7.50
Although Gin & Tonic isn’t my tipple, I’m a huge fan of The Library of Fragrance who are inspired by the scents of everyday life and very cleverly replicate the smell to bring you something that little more unique.
This hits the mark and smells just like a gin & tonic without the booziness! It’s fresh and clean with a hint of citrus/lime that adds a refreshing twist once settled. I think this is a great unisex scent especially for the summer.
3. Extra samples inside the box:
As always, You Beauty Discovery have included some extra bonus treats and this month the box features an Alpha-Arbutin White Mask from DHC and the Perfectly Peachy Bath and Shower Creme Shower by I Love…in partnership with Coppafeel.
My Verdict
With another great shortlist this month I’m delighted with my picks which in turn has given me an opportunity to try something new from two brands I’ve been interested in getting to know better, the sizes of the products are pretty generous too! I love the extra pampering additions this month in the form of a sheet mask and a fruity shower creme so it was great to see these featured and if you do happen to fall in love with something, the magazine includes various discount codes for some of the brands featured this month.
Coming in at only £6.95, not only is it affordable but it also gives subscribers a great opportunity to sample products from well-known, loved and emerging beauty brands. One of the aspects I love about this box is that I have full control of what’s inside as well as receiving some additional bonus samples too. If you’re new to the beauty box concept then this is definitely a great purse friendly box to start off with.
