I loved last month’s Dollibox but the *January edition really is impressive with a line that not only covers a good area of beauty but there’s also an interesting mix of things to try from both well-known and emerging brands, something I really love about their curations. Again, you can expect to find generous sized products so there’s a good opportunity to really try things out and the best bit…It’s not just lotions and potions as you’ll find some make up bits too so you’re getting the best of both worlds with an incredible value to match! Dollibox is a monthly subscription service for UK based beauty lovers. You’ll receive five personalised beauty samples, sometimes full-sized every month, tailored to your beauty profile as well as tips and tutorials centered around the products you receive.
1. Anubis Barcelona Red Fruit Scrub – Full Size 50ml RRP £15.00
Abubis Barcelona hailing from Spain, are a fairly new beauty brand to the UK and as well as providing beauty centers, hotels, Spa, Medical-Spa and aesthetic clinics, they produce the most advanced professional beauty treatments in the market. With a high component of innovation and development based on results they cover all skincare needs.
With antioxidant, moisturising and regenerating properties, this lovely scented facial scrub from Anubis Barcelona contains raspberry, pomegranate and blueberry. It also contains microparticles of strawberry and red peach that encourages skin renewal without damage or irritation. I’ve just run out of a scrub so I can’t wait to give this a go!
2. ModelCo Powerlash Mascara – Full Size RRP £24.00
I’m so pleased to have received a full-sized version of this mascara as it’s a great contender to my beloved They’re Real! Mascara.
The formula is a little thick but it doesn’t clump or flake, you can easily create volume with multiple coats with ease and the jet black shade is right up my street!
3. Clarity Cleanse I’m Oil of Glow Serum Moisturising Oil – Travel Size 10ml
Facial Oils are a great way to keep your skin nourished and looking healthy during the colder months and the I’m Oil of Glow Serum Moisturising Oil does exactly that! With a sensory experience of organic essential oils that also awaken your senses this is packed with Jojoba oil, Sandalwood oil, Frankincense oil and Geranium oil.
Boasting 100% organic base oils and essential oils that work with your own natural skin oils it also promises to work wonders as a base for make up too.
4. Invogue Eyelashes – RRP £3.49
I’ve never tried Invogue lashes before but at only £3.49 they’re budget friendly and include a lash adhesive too. Glamourise are thick, full and voluptuous lashes that are perfect for a dramatic night out look, definitely the kind of lashes I usually go for.
5. Pixi Tinted Brilliance Balm – Full Size RRP £12.50
I love what I’ve tried from Pixi and love these types of lip crayons so very much welcome their Tinted Brilliance Balm in the shade Lucent Glow.
This flattering, luminous yet pearlescent pale pink is perfect for those days when you don’t want too much colour on your lips and is incredibly easy to apply with a super moisturising formula enriched with Jojoba oil and vitamin E to nourish and protect the lips.
6. Fab Little Bag – RRP £1.99
These genius little bags allow you to discreetly pop your used tampon into it and enables you to secure it with one hand using the patented clever finger loops, definitely a much friendlier option to protect the environment as opposed to flushing them.
My Verdict
Covering mainly skincare and make up this month as well as the addition of the Fab Little Bags, the January edition is really impressive and not only features key essentials for the winter months but there’s a few make up treats too making it the perfect pick me up for January! Once again, they’ve featured some new and exciting discoveries from both well known and emerging brands making the unboxing experience that little more interesting, something I really love about their curations. The contents are worth an amazing £56.98 and with the majority being full size I think it’s great value for money this month.
