The *March Look Fantastic #lfexplorer Beauty Box has arrived and and I’m really loving the colours they’ve incorporated into the design this month, it’s got me yearning for another holiday and it’s definitely one you’ll want to keep! The last couple of boxes have really showcased what Look Fantastic do best and this month is no exception as it’s another fabulous edit that’s jam packed and also includes a copy of the April edition of Elle Magazine as well as the usual delights, although it’s very dominated by skincare. Taking us on a journey around the world, inside you’ll find a generous selection of essentials from New York, Paris and London with a menu that covers skincare, make up and some rocket fuel too! With a mixture of full sized and travel sized samples there’s lots of new and exciting discoveries and it’s worth over £50.00 so it’s another great valued box.
The Look Fantastic box offers a selection of handpicked, must have beauty fixes wrapped in a beautifully presented box and delivered straight to your door. The beauty box will always include a minimum of six products and offers a selection of skincare, haircare, cosmetic and body products, catering for every beauty lover.
This month’s box is filled with a generous mix of treats and showcases the brands Caudalie, Lottie London, Revlon, , Codage, First Aid Beauty, Nuxe and Emergen-C.
1. Codage Masque Hydratant Moisturizing Mask – Sample Size 15ml.
This intensely nourishing emulsion regenerates and moisturises dry skin that lacks vitality and is enriched with many oils and plant-based waxes to strengthen the hydrolipidic layer and reconstruct the cutaneous barrier. The mask also boasts an enzymatic peel that gently acts to stimulate cell renewal and bring radiance back to the complexion.
2. First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream – Travel Size 28.3g.
I’ve read some glowing reviews for First Aid Beauty so I was really delighted to see their Ultra Repair Cream inside this month’s box to trial.
This quick-absorbing cream is recommended for anyone with severely dry, scaly skin due to harsh winter weather, aggressive cosmetic treatments, or any of the following conditions: atopic dermatitis, irritant eczema, allergic eczema, and keratosis pilaris. With the help of colloidal oatmeal, shea butter, soothing eucalyptus oil, and ceramides, its luxurious, ultra-hydrating formula provides immediate relief and visible improvement for distressed skin. The FAB Antioxidant Booster—comprises of licorice root, feverfew, and white tea to defend the skin from free radical damage too.
The texture of the cream is light and fluffy yet you only need the smallest amount of product to instantly hydrate, soothe, heal, and soften the skin. There’s a faint scent of eucalyptus when you first apply the product but don’t let that deter you from using it because it disappears within a couple of minutes. This is great multi-tasker that everyone needs in their beauty stash especially during the colder months!
3. Nuxe Creme Prodigieuse Anti-Fatigue Moisturising Cream – Sample Size 15ml
The Nuxe Creme Prodigieuse Anti-Fatigue Moisturising Cream contains an innovative complex of anti-oxidants and active ingredients that work to relieve stressed complexions while hydrating and refreshing the skin too.
I already own this and it’s a product that I reach for when my skin feels lifeless! This smells amazing and feels so luxurious on the skin.
4. Caudalie Micellar Cleansing Water – Travel size 50ml
Formulated without parabens, sulfates and phthalates, this soap-free micellar water attracts and traps dirt, oil, and makeup to gently remove impurities and cleanse your complexion without drying out the skin. The cleansing water contains organic grape water, chamomile extract and plant glycerin, all of which help to moisturise and softens the skin as well as decreasing sensitivity and providing anti-redness properties.
It’s not the best micellar water I’ve tried in terms of make-up removal but it did leave my skin feeling refreshed and the subtle orange, lemon blossom, watermelon and mint scent really awakens the senses in the mornings. If you’re a fan of micellar cleansers and you have sensitive skin, I would definitely give this a shot on your light makeup days.
5. Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm – Full Size RRP £7.99
I do love a chubby lip crayon and the Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm in the shade Demure is a pale pink with a slight shimmer. The shiny exterior really reflects what you can expect from this lip product – a lot of shine!
The buttery texture leaves your lips hydrated although the shade I received is really sheer so it pretty much just looked like I applied a clear gloss!
6. Lottie London Shade and Shadow Brush – RRP £4.99
I think subscribers will receive one of four make up brushes from Lottie London this month, a colourful and youthful beauty brand that’s also kind to your purse. I received the Shade and Shadow Brush that’s for shaping, smudging and lining.
7. Emergen-C Energy Release & Immunity Support – x2 Sachets
I’m still feeling a little jet lagged so these sachets couldn’t have arrived at a better time! Containing a tasty boost of nutrients, the unique balance of Vitamins and Minerals helps to keep you going – everyday!
My Verdict
Dressed to impress with such a beautiful box, Look Fantastic have once again showcased a brilliant curation this month and in my opinion they’ve definitely gone above and beyond to not only introduce a good variety of well known brands but it impressively features a very generous amount of goodies too. Whilst I’m not a fan of too much skincare within an edit there’s definitely quite a few highlights that I’m delighted to have discovered not forgetting the make up treats which are always welcomed! I love the addition of the magazine again this month and the themed curation, I hope it’s something that they’ll continue each month. As always there’s generous sized samples as well as a couple of full sized products too so If your skin is in need of some TLC or you simply want to discover some new brands then this month’s box allows you to do exactly that.
