I must admit Dollibox in recent months have really pulled out all the stops when it comes to curating boxes and while I don’t review their boxes monthly I’ve always been impressed when ogling at other subscribers boxes not to mention that they’re boxes are always bursting at the seams with lots of new discoveries. They kindly sent me over their *May box and whilst it’s not the most exciting edition, and probably my least favourite it does appear to be a useful one and geared towards the hot sunny days ahead of us (here’s to hoping!) The line up covers mainly haircare contained within its very own travel bag as well as a nail varnish and an ever so cute make up treat with a total value of £21.00+.
1. Schwarzkopf Professional BC Sun Protect Travel Set – x3 travel sized products RRP £15.95
It’s that time of the year where our hair is exposed to sun, sea salt and chlorine and therefore of course needs lots of TLC and the Schwarzkopf BC Sun Protect travel sized range contains trio of 100ml products packaged in a cute, white and gold bikini wet bag that. The mild shampoo gently cleanses and soothes sun-stressed hair and the leave in spray conditioner is a handy essential that leaves locks super smooth and shiny. When out in the sun, a quick spritz of the waterproof shimmer oil spray will protect your hair and scalp from damaging UV rays and gives a high glamour, shimmering finish to the hair.
2. I love…Tinted Moisture Balm in Strawberry – Full Size RRP £2.99
I love…probably more known for their fruity bath treats also have a collection of tinted balm crayons and If you’re sucker for cute packaging then it definitely doesn’t disappoint! The shade Strawberry is a lovely nude pink and it’s the perfect pop of colour for those sunny days and does a pretty good job in keeping the lips hydrated too. This definitely exceeded my expectations and for the price it’s a complete steal.
3. Cuccio Colour Cruise Mini Lacquer – Travel Size
The shade Message in a Bottle a gorgeous lilac with a metallic pink shimmer and is from the SS Cuccio Colour Cruise Collection, a nautical inspired collection of modern Spring shades guaranteed to help you navigate the changing tides of current styles and fashion in 2016.
My Verdict
All in all I think this months edition was a little bit of a let down for me mainly because I’m so use to seeing their editions filled to the brim with goodies that cover such a good ground when it comes to beauty discoveries. Whilst everything fits the travel theme and is geared towards the season I would have liked to of seen more variety as the Schwarzkopt Professional set kind of took over and dominated the box. In terms of value, this month’s box isn’t going to bowl you over but everything appears to be very usable and will definitely come in handy for trips away and daily use.
