A new month means new beauty treats and trends within the ever evolving Love Me Beauty Boutique and as always I’m forever in and out of their boutique to see what new additions they’ve sourced for the month and the June collective is pretty well rounded and features skincare, hair tools, make up and nails from both well-known and under-the-radar brands and subsribers can also expect to see their chosen treats inside an ever so pretty make up bag to match. This post rounds up just some of the lovely new additions which you can expect to see inside the June boutique and they’ve also replaced the box with a cosmetic bag instead something I really welcome as my box collection will soon need their very own bedroom! New subscribers can get 20% off their first box for using my exclusive reader code at the end of the post.
Each month the Love Me Beauty membership is worth 60 credits and you simply chose the items you want inside your box from a selection of products ranging from hair, body, nails, skincare and make-up with majority of the items being full sized or travel sized. You can now add on extra credit packages as well as the opportunity to treat yourself all month long! .
June see’s new arrivals from Trilogy, Cailyn Cosmetics, Tangle Teezer, Nuxe, Lord & Berry, Valeur Absolue and some mini nail varnishes from Nails Inc as well as some products from previous months so whether you love make-up, nails, skincare or jewellery there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
1. Trilogy Skincare Collection – (20 credits each)
Founded by two sisters from New Zealand back in 2002, they discovered the powerful benefits of rosehip oil for the skin and Trilogy was born taking natural skincare into the future. They specialise in skincare, body care and hair care, and is available in over 20 countries around the world. Trilogy isn’t a brand that I’ve tried much from but I’ve heard wonderful things about their Rosehip Oil, it’s definitely one of those products that’s created quite a buzz.
First up from the collection is the Rosehip Cream Cleanser (Travel Size 30ml), formulated with advanced natural ingredients including evening primrose, certified organic rosehip oil, jojoba, and carrot, Trilogy Cream Cleanser is ideal for refreshing, restoring, softening, soothing, conditioning and nourishing the skin.
Up next is the Vital Moisturising Cream (Travel Size 20ml), an everyday moisturiser that promises a non-greasy and quick absorbing formula to provide immediate nourishment and hydration while helping to smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. While this states being suitable for all skin types I found this a little too oily but parched skins will definitely appreciate the surge of moisture.
As someone who within the last decade was terrified of anything skincare with the word “oil” in it, I’ve embraced this trend and it’s something that’s really helped in getting my skin in check. The Trilogy Rosehip Oil Antioxidant + (Sample Size 5ml) is something I’ve been wanting to try for quite a while, its described as an advanced beauty oil combining nature’s most powerful skin restoring and skin protecting properties in a unique formulation to replenish, rejuvenate and renew skin and features an unique and advanced formulation (RosapeneTM) to help repair and protect.
2. Tangle Teezer Thick & Curly Hair Brush – (30 credits) RRP £10.99
I’ve been very loyal to my original pink Tangle Teezer ever since I had my hair extensions put in and it’s robustness has really stood the test of time so I was really excited to see their Thick & Curly version as it appears I’ve been using the incorrect one for years, better late than never!
While my hair isn’t as thick as it use to be I’ve cheated the last few years with hair extensions and have pretty much used a Tangle Teezer ever since to keep the knots at bay but it appears this one is much suited for me due to the longer bristles! Thanks Love Me Beauty for the introduction!
3. Lord & Berry Seta Eyeshadow in Victoria – (20 credits) RRP £14.00
This highly-pigmented pressed eyeshadow is Lord & Berry’s classic staple eye colour. Its silky, matte formula glides on smoothly and blends easily. Perfect for creating both a sheer glaze of color or a hi-definition richer, darker look. If you’re not a fan of eyeshadows the boutique also showcases some other bits from their collection.
4. Valeur Absolue Harmonie Mini Perfume Vial – (5 credits) 1.5ml
Fragrance samples in subscription boxes aren’t everyones cup of tea, but I personally love trying out a new scent every now and again. Valeur Absolue, where the delicate art of high-end perfumery meets aromachology and neuro-cosmetics, design their perfumes (or elixirs of well-being) to enhance emotions in a woman’s life. Hand made in the South of France, each bottle visibly contains semi-precious stones which enhances the richness of the formula and embody each perfume’s emotion. As well as Harmonie you can also expect to find some other scents from their collection within the boutique.
5. Nail Inc Belsize Lane Nail Polish – (10 credits) Travel Size 4ml RRP £5.00
Has anyone ever finished a bottle of nail polish? I certainly never have as they tend to get gloopy and head straight into the bin so the mini Nail Inc Polishes inside this months boutique are ideal for saving space and ensuring minimum wastage. With four pastel variations I received Belsize Lane, a pretty mint green shade.
6. Pop Band Hair Tie – (10 credits)
Popbands are soft, stretchy ‘no dent’ hair ties that hold ponytails up tight, but still leave the hair fresh and kink-free when you take it down and are available in a wide selection of colours and themes. They claim to not rip or damage hair and they even encourage you to embrace this fashionable accessory by wearing it on your wrist.
Unfortunately, as my hair is really thick it felt slightly tight but overall I think these are great for kids and adults alike and they come in a huge variety of colours and patterns.
7. Cailyn Matte Tint in Pure Lust – (20 credits)
Love Me Beauty have featured quite a few products from Cailyn Cosmetics, a brand that’s not easily available in the UK but I’ve been really impressed with what I’ve tried so far.
The Extreme Matte Tint creates a vivid explosion of colour on lips and promises continuous coverage that lasts! With a unique infusion, it delivers a waterproof, non-sticky, matte finish. The shade Pure Lust is a pretty pop of pink that’s perfect for everyday wear.
My Verdict
If you’re not a fan of surprises when it comes to beauty boxes then Love Me Beauty is the perfect choice and destination for those who want more of a personalised subscription service with a boutique centered around all things beauty showcasing both brands we all love and know as well some up and coming gems. Whether you love makeup, skincare, hair accessories or a little bit of everything Love Me Beauty have got you covered with a collective of seasonally appropriate treats that effortlessly gives your beauty regime a refresh for summer. Once again there’s a good balance of full sized and travel sized samples so it’s a great way to try out a brand you’ve been curious about or discovering something new.
If you’re looking for a beauty box that’s bespoke just for you Love Me Beauty allows you to create your very own box giving you full control and flexibility all month long with an opportunity to extend your credits too with their value add-on packages and the best bit is they’re always refreshing their boutique with lots of new and exciting products so they’ll always be something to tempt you with an extensive range on offer all month long. I can’t wait for July as they’ll be featuring their Wanderlust Edit for the seasoned traveller and you can expect to see products from Caudalie, Percy & Reed, Pixi, O.P.I, Yes to and Argentum.
