It’s been quite a while since I got excited about a new launch well that was until Moi-Meme appeared on my radar and what I can say their first ever edition has truly been worth the wait and a concept that really sparked my interest right from the outset. For their *July edition we have The Adventure Box, which is just a delightful bundle of summer joy and as soon as I battled my way through the packaging my first impressions were it looked beautiful, everything was geared towards the theme and the best bit it’s packed full of luxe treats for the ultimate me-time experience in addition to some apt travel and lifestyle must-haves too. Even before I really delved in you could say I was well and truly blown away on my first glance and in all honesty it’s everything I hoped for and so much more. I know a quite a few readers wanted to see the full reveal so this post is a very quick overview of the goodies inside and my overall thoughts:
Who doesn’t love a little personalisation when it comes to stationary? I think the fact Moi-Même have gone to the effort of personalising the journal really shows the love they have for their little venture and their subscribers and I for one was delighted to see this top quality Travel Journal (RRP £20.00) emblazoned with the world map and hand-made by their very own team. It’s such a lovely addition to jot down those fond travelling memories of past and present and if you’re lucky enough to fill it up then you’ll able to move onto part two as the cover is removable – genius!
On the beauty front Moi-Même have featured two summer must-haves from Evolve Beauty, an artisan producer of organic and natural skin, body and hair products which boast being hand-crafted using the best of what has nature has to offer from natural and organic oils, butters and natural superfoods sourced from around the world. All their products are vegan and cruelty free and made in small batches to ensure the highest level of freshness. These tropical-inspired body treats in the form of the Tropical Blossom Body Polish (Full size 180ml RRP £20.00) and the Body Butter (Travel size 30ml RRP £4.00) automatically makes you think of beaches, palm trees and relaxing in the summer sun and are powered by Tahitian Manoi, considered the “sacred Oil of the Polynesians and together they’re the perfect duo to get you glowing and smelling great all summer long.
If you love lifestyle products then you’re in for a real treat as they’ve handpicked some great summer/travel inspired goodies in the form of a beautiful Flamingo Scarf (RRP £12.00) and a Slim Wrap and Beads Bracelet (RRP £8.00) from Lisa Angel. Last but not least is the ever-so luxe Laurige France Passport Holder (RRP 20.00), it’s such a handy addition and the perfect way to pretty up your passport and boasts being leather too.
My Verdict
So there you have it, Moi-Même’s first ever edition and what a fantastic debut they’ve made and as for the concept as a whole it’s something the subscription market has been crying out for such a long time. Everything inside was presented beautifully, the quality and contents did not disappoint and there was a lot of cuteness and attention to detail, which I love and is exactly what I was hoping for!. Showcasing products, ranging from beauty, to lifestyle items, to stationary with a combined value of over £80.00, they’ve impressively stuck to the theme throughout and hit the nail on the head in terms of curating an well rounded box, it’s definitely not the easiest thing to do when you’re catering for the masses. However with this in mind and acknowledging that we all are different, Moi-Meme Box are also offering subscribers to exchange a few of the items featured i.e. for a different colour or size which really is customer service at it’s best.
This is one of the prettiest beauty/ lifestyle boxes that I’ve ever received and their first box really had the ‘wow’ factor for me with a lovely assortment of hand picked goodies guaranteed to make even the most stressful of days feel a little brighter! There’s no doubt that this box definitely stands-out from the crowd and if their July edition is anything to go by then I think the future is looking very bright for Moi-Même box. In terms of the cost of the quarterly subscription it does roughly amount to the same if you’re already a monthly beauty box subscriber but obviously you’re parting with £49.95 in one go which may not be feasible for some but I do urge you to try it out at least once. All in all, they’re definitely leading the way when it comes to these types of boxes and all the products are things that I love and will use plus they only release the occasional spoiler so the element of surprise still remains until it’s delivered making the unboxing experience so much more exciting. I can’t wait to see what the October box has in store and its available now to pre-order via their website.
