Okay, I’m going to be totally honest and admit that I wasn’t particularly bowled over with the August You Beauty Box Shortlist and while I was pretty keen to upgrade my subscription to gold only two products really stood out for me this month so I stuck with my usual £6.95 edition! Centred around products that promise to help make a visible difference to the way you feel, the Beauty Solutions Edit showcases mainly skincare from both popular and up and coming brands. With three different membership options now in force you can now add up to 4 beauty treats from the shortlist each month with subscriptions starting from only £6.95.
1. Bloom and Blossom Rejuvenating Facial Sprtiz – Travel Size 30ml
While I’ve already received this exact facial spritz in my Look Fantastic Beauty Box I’m really pleased to have another back-up as this concoction packed with the good stuff has been really helping me inject some much need moisture while sitting in the office so I can now leave one in my handbag and one in the office!
Bloom and Blossom is a sophisticated, natural, solution focused skincare range, suitable for pregnancy and babies which can only mean it’s going to be super kind to the skin. Their Rejuvenating Facial Spritz is a skin conditioner with collagen boosting ingredients, aloe vera and lime oil to help improve skin tone and reduce wrinkles and dark shadows.
The light weight formula really gives the skin a boost of hydration and it’s the ideal size to throw into your handbag and if your face is feeling a little parched then a quick spritz of this will cool you right down.
2. Bloom and Blossom Rejuvenating Leg and Foot Spray – Travel Size 30ml
With flip flops and sandals banned within the organisation I work for there’s nothing worse than hot and sweaty feet being prisoners inside shoes so the Rejuvenating Leg and Foot spray really was a no brainer for me and works really well as a quick pick-me-up for tired legs and feet.
Stated as a best-seller, the Revitalising Leg and Foot Spray helps to alleviate water retention and refresh tired and heavy legs, swollen ankles and feet. It is the perfect size to keep in your handbag for use during a stuffy commute or after a long day in heels, and can even be applied directly over tights.

My Verdict
In terms of the price point You Beauty Box still comes out on top and is such a great budget friendly subscription but I can’t help but feel the August shortlist was a little underwhelming this month. Thankfully my two picks from Bloom and Blossom have definitely made up for the shortfall and they are indeed the perfect summer companions to cool you down and I love that they’re travel-friendly too.
Coming in at only £6.95, not only is it affordable but it also gives subscribers a great opportunity to sample products from well-known, loved and emerging beauty brands. One of the aspects I love about this box is that I have full control of what’s inside as well as receiving some additional bonus samples too. If you’re new to the beauty box concept then this is definitely a great purse friendly box to start off with and If you do happen to fall in love with something there’s a few discount codes from the brands featured this month too.
