It’s Tuesday, I’ve still got a long week ahead of me and right now all I want to do is submerge myself into a sweet smelling bath with a shed load of bubbles and hide under my duvet for the rest of the day! Luckily the October Look Fantastic #LFPamper Box makes an apt appearance and features a good balance of beauty for that all important me time. With this in mind say hello to the hydrators and the pick me ups inside this months edition to get you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated to face the new season. One of my favourite ways to start out a relaxing evening (which is very rare!) is to have a lovely hot bath filled with bubble and my favourite scented potion to forget about the working day! Mio isn’t a brand I’ve tried much from but I love their philosophy that we should treat the outside of our body as good as our insides, something I definitely agree with plus they exclude all nasties. The formula includes an amazing list of ingredients such as Magnesium-rich Epsom salts, Arnica, V-Tonic™, spearmint, cypress, lavender, mandarin and chamomile essential oils help to relax and calm your busy mind; ease hard-working muscles and restore your body with a perfect milky-moisturising blend thanks to the Murumuru Butter
I’ve tried this soak over the weekend and I truly love it. I felt incredibly relaxed and it left my skin soft and hydrated, the perfect antidote for those chilly winter nights!
2. Murad Intensive C Radiance Peel – Sample Size 10ml
This intensive treatment by Murad promises to instantly brighten and perk up dull winter skin to reveal a younger, more radiant complexion whilst helping to reduce the signs of ageing. It brightens, smoothes and hydrates skin, reversing the signs of environmental ageing.
3. Alterna Caviar Anti-ageing Moisture Intense Oil Creme Pre-Shampoo Treatment- Travel Size 25ml
Despite the overly long name, this pre-shampoo treatment claims to do some amazing things. Infused with nourishing Abyssinian Oil and innovative anti-ageing crème, the advanced formula works to moisturise, hydrate and restore healthy-looking locks with enhanced shine, whilst a dose of Caviar Extract smooths the hair shaft to leave it soft and sleek. In terms of my hair concerns this is definitely something I’ll be able to get use out of.
4. Oskia Renaissance Mask – Travel Size 12ml
If you’re after a true at-home spa experience to fight off dull skin, the Oskia Rennaisance looks like a great choice and smells absolutely divine. This balm/jelly like texture mask promises to increase skin brightness and clarity for all skin types, gently exfoliating with fruit AHA’s and enzymes, whilst replenishing with prebiotics, amino acids and minerals and increasing cell turnover for radiant, youthful skin.
5. Polaar The Genuine Lapland Lip Balm – Travel size 10ml
I flock to lip balms in the winter months so I guess there’s no harm in adding another one to my stockpile! This intensely hydrating lip balm is infused with a vitamin-rich blend of arctic raspberries, blackberries and lingon berries for powerful antioxidant protection against wind, cold temperatures and pollution. It promises to be fast-absorbing, non-greasy and is packed with nourishing shea butter, beeswax and coconut oil to repair dryness and deeply moisturise lips.
6. Laura Geller Waterproof Pout Perfection Lip Liner – Full Size RRP £14.00
On the make up front you can expect to see the Laura Geller Waterproof Pout Perfection Lip Liner in the shade Claret, a beautiful classy red that also boasts being full sized. Described as a long-lasting and waterproof, I love the formula, it feels ever so smooth thanks to the jojoba oil and Vitamin E and gives complete coverage without sinking into the cracks on your lips.
My Verdict
A change of season calls for a switch of beauty products and this month’s #LFPamper edition certainly delivers on all fronts with an appropriate mix of skin and hair care rescuers, make up and even a bath treat to enable us to pamper ourselves all month long. I really love the theme this month as the chill in the air and the nights drawing in definitely calls for more me time as opposed to the summer months where we all rather be outdoors enjoying the sunshine! I’m sure you’ll agree the Look Fantastic boxes can sometimes get a little samey in terms of the brands featured but I’m pleased to report that this month’s edit is really refreshing as there’s quite a few newbies on board making the unboxing experience much more exciting than usual! In terms of the products they’ve featured a mix of good sized samples and full sized products so you’ll be able to judge whether they work for you or not and I’m also delighted that the Elle Magazine has made a comeback this month.
