Last month, Little Bit Lavish sent us a fabulous array of products to wake us up and for their December edition which is aptly themed Social Butterfly they’ve featured a host of beauty and lifestyle treats to help get us get ready for whatever our busy social calendars throw at, a potion to warm our body and soul as well as a little something to kick start the new year too – it’s a pretty good all-rounder!  As always they’ve showcased some great non-toxic and ethically made beauty finds from both well-known brands and those that are a little under the radar too and excitingly this month also features a brand that hails all the way from the US and isn’t even available in the UK yet!

Little Bit Lavish is a fairly new subscription box with pampering in mind. Each item will be carefully chosen for you to enjoy as their belief is that all women deserve some time for themselves.  Whether it be a long soak in the tub, a five minute face mask or something as simple as applying a lip balm!  Their box of goodies will have a different theme each month, with the majority of our products being full size and will contain between 5-7 carefully selected pampering treats from beauty, skincare and the odd makeup item plus a lifestyle item and something edible or drinkable. The brands they’ll be featuring will be a mixture of established companies to cottage industries with the intention of mainly focusing on organic or natural and cruelty free products.

So without further ado, here’s my unboxing and review:

I love channelling that Christmas spirit into my makeup game which usually involves going all out with lots of sparkle, red lips and of course some voluptuous lashes so the Cougar Beauty Highlighter (Full Size RRP £19.00) is definitely something I’ll be able to incorporate into my regime! This soft, lightweight pure mineral loose highlighter promises to fake that summer glow and also comes with its very own mini kabuki brush.

I rarely see solid perfumes in my subscription boxes, so this one by Glow for a Cause (Full Size RRP £12.00) that hails all the way from the US was such a nice surprise. The brand is new on my radar but I’m already loving their philosophy which is to make both people and the world a little more beautiful plus did I mention the company also gives back 5% to their partner non-profit organisations too. This concentrated solid perfume is made with natural and organic oils and GLOW’s signature perfume Wish is described as a magical blend of sparkling light florals, white tea, and bergamot grounded by light musks. I absolutely love the scent, it’s so warm and delicious and the handy little tub means it’s super travel friendly too. The only downside is there’s no stockists in the UK at the moment!

Described as a favourite amongst celebrities and flight crews to keep their eyes refreshed, these perfectly cut Gold Crystal Collagen Under eyes masks from Jamela (worth £3.40) are a great choice to wake up tired eyes and work to de-puff, brighten and eliminate dark circles using the most beautiful natural ingredients from Europe and Asia.

Up next we have the White Rabbit Skincare Chocolate Orange Lip Balm (Full size RRP £4.00) that smells so, so good, I literally want to eat it! I was fortunate enough to sample something from White Rabbit’s collection a few months in the form of their Lime and Coconut Cleansing Water which was lovely (don’t get it in your eyes though like I did – it stings so bad!) so I’m delighted to try something else which is probably less of a hazard! With a combination of lip-friendly ingredients the vast amount of nourishing oils will not fail to keep your lips hydrated and kissable for that mistletoe moment!

Nothing says Christmas like a glass of mulled wine (or two!) to warm the body and soul and the Green Cuisine Mulled Wine Spice Mix (RRP £1.50) enclosed within a cracker contains enough fruit and spice mix to make you’re very own bottle! I’ve never tried making my own so it’s definitely something I’ll be attempting over Christmas!

I reallyneed to be a lot more organised next year as juggling a full time job as well as a blog isn’t the easiest of tasks so the Busy B Slim Diary for 2017 (RRP £7.99) is such a handy addition plus its portable size means I can carry it around in my handbag too!

My Verdict

Overall, I think there’s a lot to love about the December Little Bit Lavish Box and to no surprise everything featured fits in with the theme perfectly – they definitely ended the year on a good note! Showcasing both party and winter-ready products in addition to the diary to kick start the new year, this month’s unboxing was so fun, I loved the mix of products, the brands they picked out and all the new finds plus this month also saw the first ever debut of a make up item which made a nice change from all the lotions and potions. So far my personal favourites are the lip balm and the Solid Perfume but  I’m a little disappointed Glow for a Cause isn’t stocked anywhere in the UK so here’s to hoping they land here in the near future as I’m already lusting after some of their products!

While it’s hard to be truly surprised anymore as a lot of the same brands/products keep popping up from box to box, Little Bit Lavish box have definitely steered away from this and feature things that pique my interest mainly from niche brands, eco-conscious and even vegan brands making the unboxing experience so much more fun and exciting and is one of the reasons why this box really shines.  I’ve had quite a few boxes now and I can honestly say it really is a great one to have.

The December edition is available now but there’s only a few boxes left so you’ll need to be quick! Get 10% off your first box using my exclusive reader code: LAVISHWBB
