For all you beauty subscription lovers here’s another new box to add to your list! Today’s blog post not only introduces you to Roccabox which is a brand new sparkly beauty box that excitingly just launched today but I’m also unveiling their first ever debut in the form of their March edition which by the way is such a well-rounded and value for money curation so if you don’t want to ruin the surprise please look away now! With already so many beauty subscription options within an industry that continues to grow how does this box differ from the rest I hear you ask? Well each month they enlist the help of a beauty blogger chosen by Roccabox to put their favourite picks forward inside each edition which is a pretty unique selling point and definitely isn’t something that’s been done before so that’s promising!

Founded by Tia Roqaa who has previously worked for Neom Organics in their PR team and some big fashion PR agencies in London who looked after brands like Versace, Coach and Pinko, her passion was to to create something gorgeous and work with brands and bloggers to give women like herself a gorgeous treat every month, and help them discover new beauty products, brands and bloggers. In addition to this Roccabox has also partnered with Paperworks,  a charity for people with autism, learning difficulties and complex needs. Each box is hand packed by the team at Paperworks who love to work with their hands and develop their skills.

This month’s edition has been curated by Paula from the LDN Diaries and here’s just some of her favourite picks that have made their way inside the March box:

Up first and a completely new brand on my radar is the Kevin.Murphy Young.Again Treatment Oil (full size 100ml RRP £30.00), a weightless leave-in treatment oil infused with immortelle, bur oil and grape seed extract to counteract the oxidation and ageing process and this particular line is designed to help renew youthful lustre and shine to dry, damaged or brittle hair. Using the best quality natural ingredients from all corners of the globe, hair grows stronger and healthier. My hair really plays up this time of the year so I’m hoping this injects some magic into my hair plus this full size version alone is worth more than the actual price of the monthly subscription price!

On the skin care front is the Balance Me Radiance Face Oil (travel size 10ml), a 100% natural, award-winning facial oil that is designed to rescue dull, lifeless, dehydrated skin and provide it with a rejuvenated, radiant glow. If that wasn’t enough it also helps to reduce redness and the visible signs of ageing and scarring as well as evening out the skin tone. It combines eight different oil extracts, including rosehip oil, buruti nut, camelia, chamomile, yarrow and benzoin to make a soothing and plumping facial treatment. I’m a huge fan of facial oils but I’m always super careful what I put on my oily skin but due to this being completely natural I know this won’t clog up my pores and I love that its compact size makes it the perfect travel companion too.

Another new discovery for me and perhaps the product I’m most excited to try is the New CID Cosmetics I Prime Mini (Travel size 10ml RRP £12.50), their bestselling i-prime foundation primer in a handy travel size bottle! I-prime is described as he makeup artists secret weapon for flawless foundation application! This silky, lightweight blend of vitamins, advanced collagen boosting ATP molecule and cosmetic polymers can be worn alone or under foundation to increase longevity of base products and smooth the appearance of skin. It’s also oil free and suitable for all skin types.

I’ve received quite a few of the Nanshy Marvel 4 in 1 make-up sponges (RRP £5.95) inside my boxes so while it wasn’t so much of an exciting addition for me it’s certainly a useful one to have on standby. This blending Sponge is uniquely designed to make applying your makeup as easy and flawless as possible. It has 4 surfaces which means it can do just about everything you need for you to achieve the perfect finish. The quality of the sponge especially for the price is really impressive and boasts being cruelty-free too.

I love multi-purpose products and the Dr Lipp Original Nipple Balm (sample sachet) is something that’s extremely versatile, healing and nourishing thanks to one key ingredient, Lanolin. The formula is 100% natural, hyper allergenic, odourless and contains no parabens. I already use this as a lip balm and it’s great for chapped or sore lips and is a true hero during the colder months. The balm isn’t just restricted for the lips, it soothes dry and sensitive skin and can be used for dry cuticles, dry skin patches, burns and abrasions, sore nipples, split ends and eczema.

My Verdict

I think Roccabox’s first ever debut in collaboration with Paula from the LDN Diaries was certainly a successful one and for a monthly subscription that’s only £13.95 a month their March edit definitely boasted value for money too. Line up-wise, I love the mix of brands and products chosen, it touched on make up, skincare, hair care, and even a beauty tool, all of which are universal enough to be enjoyed by everyone – something that often lacks and isn’t taken into account when curating boxes. While there was a couple of things I had already sampled via other boxes, the remainder was all new finds for me from trusted brands I know as well as completely new discovery in the form of the Kevin.Murphy Young.Again Treatment Oil which I’m really looking forward to trying out. So there you have it the first ever Roccabox and I think you’ll agree it’s such an affordable way to discover both well-known and lesser known brands plus the majority is very generous in size so you’ll be able to judge whether the products work for you or not. I’ve really enjoyed my first introduction, I love the idea behind this box in terms of they join forces with a blogger to curate their edits and that they also support such a wonderful cause too so I do hope that they will be able to sustain the momentum of curating edits just like this in the upcoming months as it has the potential to be a great subscription. I can’t wait to see who they’ve got lined up for their April edition.
