The April Nourish Beauty Box has arrived and it’s filled with beauty products to get us in the mood for spring from skin care to brighten and hydrate what winter left behind, an eyeshadow palette and their very own branded nail varnish and you can be rest assured that every single item has been handpicked with cruelty-free and good for you ingredients in mind. As always, the line-up consists of all full sized treats and often features under the radar brands – something that really makes me look forward to this arrival month on month.

Filled with beautifully crafted, organic, cruelty-free products, the Nourish Beauty Box will offer 4 full-sized beauty products ranging from skincare/bodycare to makeup products, all of which can be purchased within their online shop if you happen to fall in love with something. The price of the box is $34.95 (£23.00)/month (FREE Worldwide delivery) and subscribers get at least $70 (around £46.00+) retail value in every box.

The April edition features products from Alma BotanicalsSeraphine Botanicals, Peony Cosmetics and a nail varnish from Nourish Beauty’s very own collection.

Up first is a very generous addition from Alma Botanicals in the form of their Hydrating Oil (Full Size RRP £28.21). This brand is a completely new discovery for me and their philosophy is that they are the skin solution for all modern minimalists by simplifying the beauty regimen by creating multi-tasking treatments that combine essential vitamins and minerals to restore skin to its optimum health and vitality.  I’ve got to admit being oily skinned, I tend to skip oils from my skin care routine this time of the year as I much prefer lighter alternatives but this multitasking hero actually does a whole heap more as you can also apply it on the body, on your hair, as a scalp treatment and in the bath. Made with the purest natural ingredients, with an emphasis on ingredients that are plant-based, organic and food-grade, this versatile Hydrating Oil is described as lightweight and fast-absorbing, leaving the skin radiant and renewed.

Sticking to skin care we also have the Peony Botanicals A New Beginning Pumpkin Pre-Cleanse Cream (Full size RRP £29.01), another multi-tasker that’s designed to be used before your regular cleanser and not only performs as an effective makeup remover but also promises to remove even the most stubborn eye make-up gently. It also helps to nourish lashes and hydrate the delicate eye areas at the same time and is infused with Pineapple and Ginger extracts plus skin-improving Pumpkin and Lupin seed oils.

On the make-up front and dressed in gold is the Seraphine Botanicals Chia + Camellia Eyeshadow Palette (RRP £38.68) and it’s so, so pretty! Combining both matte & shimmery hues, the formula is infused with kaolin clay for long-lasting blendability as well as Camellia & Chia Seed oils to give you soft, smooth, pigmented payoff. When it comes to eyeshadows I’m more of a neutral girl so this palette is definitely something I would have picked out myself. The shades are really wearable but what I love the most is that they all complement one another extremely well meaning you can create a variety of looks for both day and evening wear plus the colour payoff is pretty impressive too.

Lastly is the Nourish Beauty’s very own Water Based Nail Varnish in the shade ‘Follow your Bliss’ (full size £10.07), a very pretty pistachio hue that’s perfect for this time of the year and boasts being natural, vegan and gluten -free and they’re peel off!

My Verdict

This month’s Nourish Beauty Box contained some great staples for the warmer months and I love that everything they’ve handpicked can be easily be incorporated into our current routines from lazy-day skincare, a beautiful eyeshadow palette and a very spring inspired nail varnish shade that’s got me yearning for those warm, sunny days.  Stand outs so far for me are the palette which I absolutely adore, the unique nail varnish shade (I don’t think I own anything similar within my out of control collection!) and the Alma Hydrating Oil which is going to come in really handy for traveling. The one product I really wanted to love was the cleanser but I just can’t get past the strong scent but other than that there was some interesting discoveries this month. Value-wise this month’s box is worth an incredible £105.97 and with everything being full sized you’ll certainly be able to judge whether the products work for you or not.

If you love organic, natural and cruelty-free products or want to detoxify your beauty regime with a more friendly alternative the Nourish Beauty Box is the perfect way to enhance your beauty the natural way.
