This is the second edition of the Latest in Beauty Glamour Beauty Edit box after the success of the first one, they decided to follow up with a sequel. “Latest in Beauty” have teamed up with Glamour Magazine to create a box of must-haves for spring which is definitely a season showing an appearance as Winter is slowly drawing in.
Latest in Beauty are not a subscription service unlike the rest which we review. They create a limited edition themed box on a regular basis.
The box included 7 good sized products which consisted of a mixture of makeup, hair and Beauty Products. Yes seven products which is very impressive considering the regular beauty boxes tend to only have 5 or 6.
I am so excited to be reviewing this box as it’s the first box I have received from “Latest in Beauty”. These are limited edition boxes and do tend to run out so be quick in order not to miss out!
1. Rituals Zensation Organic Rice Milk & Cherry Blossom Foaming Shower Gel 50ml RRP £8.50 for 200ml
The season of Spring has showed an appearance in my shower this morning! I love the concept of a foam shower gel as a little squirt goes a long way unlike other conventional shower gels. The aroma of this shower gel was very nice and did not dry out my skin. This would be a nice shower gel to use in the evening after a long day or to aid sleep. I will definitely be buying the full size bottle as this one will more than likely run out very soon!
2. Percy & Reef London Volumising Mousse 50ml RRP £12.00 for 200ml
I am looking forward to trying this mousse as I am always lacking volume at my roots ! I always lose the Volume and end up with flat hair again and my hairdresser’s efforts in her blow dry seem to be pointless! Percy & Reed state “This little beauty of a bottle will give your hair extreme, lasting volume, without the sticky stiff feel. Even when you build incredible height into your hair, it’ll stay light and natural thanks to its creamy moisturising texture. It’s the only time you’ll want to be XXL”. This is exactly what I am looking for – a product which doesn’t make the hair greasy or weigh the hair down. I will be trying this over the weekend.
3. Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm Full Size £3.69
This is a well-known brand on the high street however I have never tried their products. Winter plays havoc on my lips in the colder months and this in turn makes my lips dry.
This lip balm included ingredients such as Vitamin E for its antioxidant properties, which means it fights against skin cell damage and Peppermint for its refreshing properties.
I tried this lip balm before I went to sleep and my lips felt very nourished and moisturised this morning. I also applied a little this morning under my lipstick as sometimes lipsticks can also dry out your lips. I should have a dry free lip day today thanks to Burt’s Bees!
4. Invisi Bobble (3 in a pack) RRP £3.75
This product arrived at the right time for me and looks like a phone cord I have in the office. I have recently got a full head of Cinderella Hair Extensions and before I go to sleep I have been advised to tie my hair up loosely to ensure the hair doesn’t matte and tangle. I have a hair bobble which I have been using however by the morning it miraculously isn’t in my hair anymore and I cannot tie it any tighter as it will leave a mark in my hair. To my delight the pack included 3 bobbles.
The Invisi Bobble is traceless so will leave no kink in your hair. It is also kind to hair and helps to avoid split ends.
I tied my hair up last night with the Invisi Bobble and this was still in my hair this morning despite it not being tied too tight. This bobble is great for all hair types including thick hair like mine. I love this product mainly because it’s a simple concept but so effective.
5. Cheeky Chat me up Nail Paint Full Size RRP £7.00
I am definitely a newbie to this range. I loved the colour I received which is a coral tone. This is one I will definitely be adding to my summer collection range.
6. L’Oreal Miss Manga Mega Volume Mascara Full Size RRP £8.99
I was so pleased to receive this product as everyone seems to be talking about this mascara. This is a new mascara from L’Oreal. Miss Manga features a 360 degree flexible brush for effortless application. Its unique brush has a flat surface to intensify and amplify upper lashes while its conical shape capture the lower lashes. Formulated with collagen spheres and polymers for ultimate volume and hold.
I am currently wearing this mascara as I write this blog! The brush is excellent and this mascara actually does extend your lashes. My eyelashes are not that long and applying falsies every day is not realistic however I definitely noticed a difference in the length. Unlike other mascaras this gives you the best of both worlds Length and Volume.
7. Daniel Sandler Long Lasting Waterproof Eyeliner in Aqua Velvet Full Size £9.25
I have never tried this brand. This is a bespoke shade created especially for the Glamour Beauty Edit Box. It states that this pretty turquoise shade enhances blue and green eyes, while beautifully contrasting with hazel and brown eyes. I’m a black eyeliner girl through and through however I will be trying this based on the above to see if it lives up to its expectations of contrasting and enhancing the eyes as I do tend to focus more on my eyes in my make up regime.
My Verdict
This was my first box by “Latest in Beauty” and I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of the goodies inside the box. The eager wait was definitely worth it. My excitement could not be contained when I finally received my box much to my husband’s annoyance!
This box contained seven items all from well known and loved brands and included a range of make-up, hair and beauty products. This is more expensive than the other boxes however you are getting more products and the selection and variety is well thought out. The sizes of the products are great also.
Overall, this is an amazing box. It is apparent that a lot of thought has gone into the Spring concept. It is great to receive a box which doesn’t include tiny sample sized products. This box has something for everyone and I certainly was not disappointed I loved every single product and can confirm that I will continue to use every single product. This box definitely shouts out rejuvenation and renewal just like Spring! This is great value for money and is worth paying the extra for the wow factor. You will not be disappointed. I will be keeping my eyes peeled for the next limited edition box by “Latest in Beauty”
