I’ve got to admit I’ve had a pretty good run with the Look Incredible Deluxe Box this year and although not everything is to my liking sometimes, I’d say I pretty much loved the majority of what they handpicked for us inside their April edition – I think it’s quite possibly the best I’ve ever received from them. Focusing on mainly make-up in addition to a couple of skin and body care staples it’s a pretty awesome line-up this month and it totals up to an incredible £142.00 with every single item being full sized. Unfortunately this month’s box has sold out but here’s a quick overview of what was inside:

The first item from this month’s line up and something that’s very quickly become a firm favourite of mine is the Tarte Tarteist Creamy Matte Lip Paint in Delish (Full RRP £15.00), an incredibly rich and creamy textured liquid lipstick that’s super pigmented and provides an opaque and bold colour payoff in a single swipe however it has one major flaw – it feels uncomfortably drying on the lips!  The shade Delish is very similar to my beloved MAC Twig so I’m really determined to make this work!

When it comes to make up products I use on a daily basis, liquid liner is always near the top of the list but the Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner in Navy (Full size RRP £12.00) isn’t really my kind of shade so I wasn’t so delighted to see this. To make matters even worse I think I got unlucky as my liner was a little dried out which is quite common with the Eyeko liners in my experience.

Another favourite and a completely new discovery for me is the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Slimlight in Champagne Pop (Full Size RRP £24.00), a universal flattering peachy hue that I can see suiting almost everyone. For those of you who are looking for a more subtle highlight then this is a great option as it’s a relatively sheer meaning you can easily control how much glow you’re getting and the twist-up applicator makes it so easy to pop onto targeted areas of the face.

Moving onto the skincare front we have Perricone MD Blue Plasma Serum (59ml) which retails for a whopping £79.00 however I think this is from their old line as the packaging is now slightly different on their website but nonetheless I received the matching cleanser last month thanks to another beauty box so it’s nice to have a duo. Designed to reveal luminous, younger-looking skin, this no-rinse serum uses Bio-specific Peeling Technology and Micro-Extraction to target and eliminate dead skin cells. It also boasts Hydro-Fusion technology, Hyaluronic Acid and beneficial botanicals to help rebalance the skin’s hydration and plump the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles for a complexion that’s visibly smoother, softer and more youthful-looking.

Lastly and a brand that’s been featured quite a few times is Spa Retreats. I’m not really a fan of their products but their Indulgence Smoothing Body Scrub (Full size RRP £12.00) smells ever so divine and the scent lingers on skin for a little while too. Formulated with essential oils of Damask Rose and Rose Geranium, the scrub helps to slough away dead skin gently with coconut shell granules and also hydrates thanks to the coconut oil. The tube is huge so this will last at least until summer!

 My Verdict

I thought this was one of Look Incredible’s best curations and as you can see I was pretty happy with everything in this month’s box with the exception of the Eyeko Eyeliner. This month’s box featured mostly new discoveries for me and I love the brands they handpicked for us as I’ve not tried much from Becca, Tarte or Perricone MD so that definitely helped rank this box to the top of the list! In terms of favourites, I have quite few this month such as the Highlighter, Matte Lip Paint and surprisingly the body scrub from Spa Retreats, something I wasn’t expecting to love at all but it actually turned out to be quite nice (isn’t it great when that happens)! With five full sized items the April line-up is a true treat and as for the value it’s worth a very respectable £142.00. Here’s to hoping May’s edition is just as amazing!
