When I heard that two of my favourite subscriptions were joining forces on a collaboration I just knew it was going to be a good one! With spring now in full bloom, what better way to usher in the new season and reawaken our senses than with the *Scented Skincare Collection, Perfume Society’s latest collaboration with Latest in Beauty. Representing cheerful, soothing and oh so inviting scents it’s just what we need get into the springtime spirit and covers all bases on the skin and body care front as well some therapeutic heroes when you need to relax and unwind. Here’s a closer look at the contents:
Renewing what winter left behind, the Scented Skincare Collection really has us covered from start to finish and up first we have the Amie New Leaf Deep Pore Exfoliating Polish (Sample size 25ml), a moisturising exfoliating cream wash that cleans deep down into pores removing excess oil and dirt. Harmonising natural actives – bamboo and jojoba beads gently yet effectively slough off dead skin cells and stimulate the skin’s circulation ensuring healthy blood flow. Mango and cocoa seed butters soften and moisturise the skin while orange blossom and sweet almond tone and soften.
Up next is the Balance Me Collagen Boost Restore and Replenish Face Cream (Travel size 15ml) that boasts being 99% natural with a formula that’s super hydrating and features a cutting‑edge natural peptide complex to boost collagen and elastin productivity, resulting in a smoother, plumper and more rejuvenated‑looking complexion. This face cream also doubles up as a night cream!
When it comes to skincare, nothing excites me more than a good face mask and it’s just as essential as a cleanser or moisturiser so the Sukin Super Greens Detoxifying Clay Masque (Full size RRP £11.49) is such a welcomed addition. Powered by super ingredients such as Kale and Goji Berry this clay based Masque is also enriched with vitamins and antioxidants to detox, brighten the complexion and minimise the appearance of fine lines.
Thanks to beauty boxes and the fact that they also educate my beauty brain I’m no longer afraid of face oils as I was a few years ago and the Rosalena Rock & Rose Face Oil (sample size 5ml) is one that’s completely new on my radar and is something you would reach for when you need a brightening, uplifting and radiance boost. This award-winning natural radiance booster is enriched with vitamins & bio-active ingredients to rejuvenate & brighten skin and provides long lasting hydration for noticeably lifted & glowing skin. It’s also infused with an antioxidant rich daily face oil to illuminate your complexion & energise the skin & mind.
While the weather’s been a bit rubbish lately there’s no harm keeping the Ultrasun Face Anti-ageing Sun Protection Cream (travel size size 25ml) on standby for when the sun does eventually decide to make a show! This Advanced all-in-one skin care and sun protection incorporates the very latest skin care research and advances to deliver very high, all day protection (UVA 98% Australian Standard and UVB SPF 30) with just one application. It’s also free from oils, emulsifiers and perfume reducing the risk of allergy and making it especially suitable for sensitive skins.
Moving onto body care we have the Renewing Rose Body Cream (travel size 40ml) by Aromatherapy Associates, a brand that focuses on mindful beauty by giving you time to stop and find balance in your life by taking you on a sensory journey to enhance your wellbeing through Aromatherapy. I know that a lot of people don’t like rose scented products (I personally do sometimes!) but the rose notes are really prominent in this cream in a weird sort of way – I can smell the rose but it’s mixed with something else and I’m not sure I like it but luckily the scent does calm down after a while! Described as a softening and deeply nourishing body cream it’s infused with rose, evening primrose oil and Shea Butter to help uplift and soften the driest of skins. This cream definitely brings life back into your dry skin however it’s not something I would use in the morning due to the overpowering scent but it’s a good choice as an after-shower and before-bed kind of situation!
Up next we have the Weleda Pomegranate Body Lotion (Sample size 20ml), a brand that I’ve not seen inside a beauty box for quite some time so it’s nice to be requainted again and it comes with such a happy scent! With a rich mix of natural ingredients, like skin- loving organic pomegranate seed oil, gossamer apricot kernel oil, and nourishing shea butter the cream promises to stimulate new cells, protect from environmental harm and leaves you velvet-smooth all over, naturally.
A brand that’s a firm favourite of mine is Aurelia and while I’m no stranger to their skin care products I’ve not tried their Aromatic Repair and Brighten Hand Cream (Sample size 7ml) until now and it doesn’t dissapoint! This exquisite, scientifically-advanced hand cream helps to diminish the signs of pigmentation while deeply hydrating and nourishing the skin for brighter, softer, younger-looking hands and stronger nails.
Lastly we have the This Works Sleep Plus Trouble Shooter (sample size 10ml) and the MOA Fortifying Green Bath Potion (sample size 10ml), the perfect companions to aid a good nights sleep!
My Verdict
If you’re a regular visitor to the blog you’ll know that I’m not a fan of too many skincare products inside one single curation however this collection by the Perfume Society and Latest in Beauty not only strikes the perfect balance but there’s also lots to delve into from a collective of well-known and under the radar brands so you’re bound to come across some favourites. Covering all bases on the skin and body care front as well some therapeutic heroes when you need to relax and unwind I think the only thing I felt was missing and would have made the box complete is the addition of a body wash but other than that I throughly enjoyed this curation and it contains the perfect host of products to brighten up post-winter skin and lift the sprits thanks to all the gorgeous scented and good for you treats.
