I get asked all the time what my favourite subscription boxes are and in all honesty it’s a question I really struggle with as it varies month on month but the one box that I would miss the most for sure is definitely Pink Parcel, it’s such a useful package that not only equips you for that dreaded time of the month but it’s also a fantastic pick me up, a great distraction and they also introduce you to host of brands and products ranging from beauty, lifestyle and some edible treats too. For their May edition, they’ve handpicked a well-balanced menu on the beauty and lifestyle front and it feels like such a true treat this month and an edition I couldn’t wait to delve into. Did I mention this month’s theme which by the way has been executed to perfection is all about unveiling that healthy, radiant glow in time for summer.

Pink Parcel is a subscription service for your monthly cycle who send you what you need, right when you need it as well as some lovely treats to brighten up those days of the month. With three dispatch dates to choose from, Pink Parcel literally take care of everything and will ship your box before your period is due. If you’re worried about flows and absorbencies, they have that covered too as you can choose your preferred brand as well as the type of sanitary items to suit your flow making it completely bespoke to your needs.

Without further ado here’s what you can expect to see inside this month’s Pink Parcel:

1. Period Essentials

No matter what your cycle length is the amount of sanitary items and liners included within the box is impressive. You can also choose between receiving pads or tampons from a good selection of brands.

I was particularly happy to see popular brands on board such as Tampax, Always and Body Form. If you’re anything like me then this really helps avoid last-minute runs to the supermarket! There’s also a useful drawstring pouch filled with pads and liners that you can pop into your handbag straightaway.

2. Beauty Treats – 5 Items

Up first is a brand new discovery for me in the form of a Blusher Brush from My Flawless (RRP £10.00), an eco-friendly makeup brush company that is completely cruelty-free. The synthetic fibres are densely packed and luxuriously soft, picking up the perfect amount of product for seamlessly blending your favourite blusher, bronzer or contour product.

Sticking to the theme, we have another apt addition from Scrub Love and it’s their Coconut Affair coffee scrub (Travel size 100g. Worth £6.97) which is 100% natural and fortified with Coconut Flakes and ethically sourced Roast Organic Coffee. The scrub delivers a gentle exfoliating and promises to buff away dead, dull cells and stimulate circulation to leave the body glowing from top to toe and also benefits from skin-loving ingredients such as Coconut Milk and Extra Virgin Coconut Oil to nourish and conditions the body whilst Baobab Oil (packed with omegas and antioxidants) defends against free radical damage for long-lasting comfort. With summer on the horizon, Coffee scrubs seem to be everywhere at the moment and this brand is doing the rounds inside quite a few boxes this month!

Up next and a firm favourite of mine is the Mount Purious Rosewater Facial Toner (Sample size 10ml RRP £2.99), something I already own but I’m delighted to have this handbag sized version as I absolutely love drenching my skin with this after a shower in the evening! This toner not only tightens and shrinks facial pores but it also promises to reduce the likelihood of blackheads, whilst refreshing the skin. It also boasts anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties to help soothe and rehydrate irritated and swollen skin. I know sometimes rose products can smell a little too mature but I really like this subtle and soothing version.

When it comes to hair removal, shaving is definitely my preferred choice so this pretty Bic Miss Soleil Single Disposable Razor (x1) is such a welcomed addition. This triple blade female shaver has twin lubricating strips infused with Vitamin E for a fuss-free shave and even has a engraved flowers design!

Lastly and hailing all the way from the US is the Trust Fund Nail Polish (Full size £12.00 shades may vary) in the shade London Snog which is described as a medium storm cloud grey .

3. Tea and Sweet Treats – 3 items

As well as the beauty and lifestyle line up you can also expect to see a sample of tea/coffee and foodie treats, the perfect mix to satisfy those cravings and as always they sure do hit the spot but always disappear so quickly!

Inside this month’s curation you can expect to see the Hot Ginger Green Tea sample from Ace Tea London (£4.99 for a pack of 15), Willie’s Cacao Chocolate (RRP £1.00) and the a pack of Rhythm 108 Ooh-La-La Lemon & Ginger Biscuits (RRP £12.00 for a box of 12).

My Verdict

I think you’ll agree Pink Parcel have delivered such a solid and well-rounded curation for their May edition, it’s so seasonally appropriate and ticks all the boxes when it comes to must-haves for unveiling that healthy, radiant glow in time for summer. Putting both unfamiliar and popular brands in the spotlight, everything gelled together really nicely and touched on a good area of beauty from skin and body care, make up and nails not forgetting the edible items which were such a treat but as usual didn’t last long! As always, Pink Parcel gets full marks for their value for money boxes and it amazes me every time how much they manage to cram in, they even include some full sizes too. Overall this month’s Pink Parcel contained quite a few highlights, all of which are universal enough for everyone to enjoy and I don’t think there’s anything that I won’t be able to make use out of which in turn makes this month’s edit one of my favourites.

If you haven’t got on the Pink Parcel train yet then it’s definitely a subscription I highly recommend and the thrill of the surprise will not fail to make you look forward to that time of the month!
