The May Nourish Beauty Box has landed and it arrives with a good mix of interesting beauty finds ranging from skin care, make-up, their very own branded nail varnish and a little potion to help us sleep and you can be rest assured that every single item has been handpicked with cruelty-free and good for you ingredients in mind. As always, the line-up consists of all full sized treats and often features under the radar brands and is something that really makes me look forward to this arrival month on month.
Filled with beautifully crafted, organic, cruelty-free products, the Nourish Beauty Box will offer 4 full-sized beauty products ranging from skincare/body care to makeup products, all of which can be purchased within their online shop if you happen to fall in love with something. The price of the box is $34.95 (£23.00)/month (FREE Worldwide delivery) and subscribers get at least $70 (around £46.00+) retail value in every box.
Here’s a quick overview of what they features inside their May edition:
Up first is the Peony Cosmetics Prayers Answered Facial Polish With Beetroot & Olive Stones (Full size 60ml RRP £34.66), a highly effective creamy face polish made with finely crushed olive stones to remove dead skin cells and unclog pores. It also benefits from beetroot and sweet almond oil, cocoa butter and Coconut Oil to deliver iron and essential vitamins to the skin, helping to fade blemishes and fine lines away, leaving you with a healthy pink glow. This is an interesting product but the scent is a little off putting but I’ll definitely give it a go!
On the make-up front is the beautiful Mangosteen + Gold Blush by Seraphine Botanicals (RRP £10.78) a multi-dimensional, versatile blush with micro gold frosting that creates a subtle, shimmering flush. Infused with Mangosteen & Chamomile extracts, this blush has been specially designed to flatter all skintones with just the right balance of colour and light. One word for this shade STUNNING! It leaves a fabulous glow to your cheeks and is also very pigmented so a light sweep is all you need!
Just one of the things I love about Nourish Beauty Box is occasionally they include some under the radar brands from the US and this month you can expect to see the Ms B’s Necessities Calm/Sleep Aromatherapy Roll-on (Full size 20ml RRP £9.20), a 100% natural brand that provide support and healing for the mind and body. With a restful sleep in mind, the formula is infused with beneficial ingredients such as jojoba oil, sweet almond oil, lavender, orange, and spruce esssential oils. I don’t really have any complaints when it comes to dozing off but I do suffer from headaches now and again so I’ll definitely be placing this on my bedside table where it’s within easy reach!
Lastly is Nourish Beauty’s very own Water Based Nail Varnish in the shade ‘Live the Moment’ (full size £10.07), a dark blue hue that’s natural, vegan and gluten -free plus it’s a peel-off formula! I’m not to keen on the shade and would have liked something more seasonally appropriate but nonetheless I’ll be saving this for autumn/winter which I hope doesn’t come round too soon!
My Verdict
In comparison to previous curations, this probably wasn’t my favourite edtion from Nourish Beauty Box but this month’s line up did include some interesting and beneficial products such as the exfoliator and the calm/sleep roll-on and not forgetting the beautiful blusher that’s universal for all skin tones and looks flattering with a multitude of looks. Other than the nail varnish which was a little too dark for this time of the year, I liked the remainder and I’m hoping I can get past the scent of the exfoliator as I really want to put it to the test – I can’t describe the scent but it smells sour (not the best description I know)! Value-wise this month’s box totals up to £64.27 and with everything being full sized you’ll certainly be able to judge whether the products work for you or not.
