Just in time for summer and celebrating their 1st Birthday, I’m so excited to unveil Moi-Même’s latest edition which in my opinion also happens to be their best yet! This month’s box which is themed around splashes of colour is full of lovely surprises, has been carefully curated and really has that wow factor, something I felt was lacking inside April edition but they’ve definitely made up for it with their July edition. Featuring an expertly styled assortment of fashion, beauty and lifestyle treats to keep you looking and feeling chic all summer round it also offers both full size and premium products. This edition is most certainly an excellent example of why I fell head over heels in love with Moi-Même Box and I imagine it will be very popular so if you fancy getting your hands on this curation then I wouldn’t waste any time in pressing that subscribe button as there’s only literally a few left!
Here’s what they featured inside their July box:
Up first we have the Ellis Faas Hot Lips (Full size RRP £23.00) which is the first ever debut of a makeup item inside a Moi-Meme box and a lovely and luxurious one it is at that! Housed within a unique bullet-inspired casing with a sponge tip and a twist-clicker system, Hot Lips L406 Rose Violet is such a pretty pop of pink and it’s not too bold meaning you can pull this off both day and night. The formula is incredibly light and long-wearing and offers paraben-free, matte-satin lip colour loaded with nourishing vitamin E and moisturizing candelilla wax. There are different shade variations but Moi-Même have picked out five shades to brighten your make up routine for the summer.
A summer themed box wouldn’t be complete without some form of sun protection amongst the line-up you can also expect to see a travel sized sample of Mimitika’s Face Sunscreen SPF 50 (10ml), a French-based brand developed by and created for dedicated sun lovers. Offering high level, broad spectrum defence against UVA and UVB rays, the lightweight formula rapidly absorbs into skin without leaving behind any greasy residue or white cast, while it remains water-resistant for up to 80 minutes and works to stimulate natural melanin production for a more even and healthy looking tan. It’s ideal for daily use alone or as a base for makeup.
If you didn’t know already, I’m a self-confessed obsessive when it comes to nail varnish, it’s one of my favourite items to receive inside subscriptions boxes so the Nailberry Nail Varnish (RRP £14.50) in the shade Love Me Tender was obviously a delightful sight! This mauve pink is such a beautiful and sophisticated hue and I can’t wait to try it on!
Moving onto the lifestyle treats and a firm favourite of mine is the Katie Loxton Perfect Pouch – eeek! (RRP £16.00), a stunning, high quality and good sized yet affordable pouch that’s available in an array of pretty colours and lettering – you’ll want all 30 of them! From the variations, I received the Time to Shine Pouch dressed in a mesmerizing pearlescent blue and it just screams all things summer – it’s so dreamy!
If you love personalised jewellery then you’re in for a real treat as this sterling silver necklace with a star charm by Hurleyburley (RRP £22.00) has your initial embossed on it and is just so, so cute and is such a lovely addition inside this month’s edit. Hurleyburley is a luxury jewellery and accessories company specialising in high quality products, beautifully personalised to create treasured bespoke gifts.
Last but not least is the Moi-Même Pashmina (RRP £25.00 – various colours), made from a blend of silk and cashmere in Turkey is the ideal summer cover up and I just love the turquoise colour I received – it’s so unique and such a welcomed addition to my collection.
My Verdict
Moi-Même very often exceeds my expectations, and this box was just one of a long line of amazing boxes from them and was most definitely a personal favourite of mine. While I wasn’t too keen on their April edit they certainly redeemed themselves this month by sending us an amazing selection of summer essentials which also offers good value too. In all honesty, I don’t think there was actually anything that I didn’t like and I was delighted with all the colour choices which doesn’t happen often as I’m very picky! In terms of favourites so far, I can’t wait to show off my new Katie Loxton Pouch and the pashmina as well as rocking the Rose Violet Hot lips from Ellis Faas and of course the pretty Nailberry nail varnish – both are gorgeous shades and really easy to wear too! Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed unboxing their July edit and in terms of their handpicked assortment of fashion, beauty and lifestyle treats they pretty much nailed it on all fronts and I think you’ll agree it has indeed been curated to perfection and each item complimented one another really well. The next box will the autumn edition and I can’t wait to see what’s in store especially if this month’s offering is anything to go by!
Moi-Même Box is a definitely a unique gem in the world of monthly beauty & lifestyle boxes and while the subscription box market is growing on a daily basis, their concept is unique and enticing and for me personally I love all the new finds and the high quality offerings from small batch companies and brands that are under the radar meaning they are very unlikely to show up in any of the other boxes. In terms of the cost, the quarterly subscription roughly amounts to the same if you’re already a monthly beauty box subscriber but the only downside is you’re parting with £49.95 in one go which may not be feasible for some but it’s worth trying at least once.
As mentioned at the beginning of my post there’s literally only a few boxes left so if you do subscribe any colour options which are still available will be on a 1st come, 1st served basis. If you’re unhappy with the choices left then Moi-Même will offer to either start your subscription with the October box or alternatively offer a full refund.
