Today’s unboxing and review features my October Look Incredible Deluxe Beauty Box and unfortunately I think this month’s line-up is probably my least favourite from them this year, it’s not a bad line-up I guess it just feels very lack-lustrous in comparison to previous editions so I’m hoping it’s a one-off! On a positive note, they have brought a couple of new discoveries to my attention such as a moisturiser from Skin Doctors and a winning product from Laura Geller and as always every single item is full sized which totals up to around £100.00.
Here’s what I received inside the October Deluxe edition:
Up first and something which my skin will definitely benefit from is the Skin Doctors T-Zone Control No More Pores (Full size 30ml RRP £23.00). This overnight product helps reduce the size of pores to create a smoother look to your skin. The treatment contains Salicylic Acid which helps to both clear pores and remove excess oil. The Glycolic and Lactic Acids help gently exfoliate and clarify to reduce pore size. These three active ingredients join together to create the perfect tool to minimise pores, all while you sleep!
I know I’ve moaned about Too Faced being featured too frequently inside the Look Incredible beauty boxes but oh boy I sure was pleased to see them this month as the Shadow Insurance Eye Primer (Full size £17.00) is just one of the two products that really stands out for me. Marketed as their iconic, bestselling primer, it locks down eye shadows and intensifies colour to ensure crease-proof, fade-proof, waterproof wear for up to 24 hours. The feather-light formula glides effortlessly onto lids to create a smooth, even canvas for seamless shadow application and a stay-put look every time.
Up next we have the Helena Rubinstein Collagenist Re-Plump Lip Zoom (Full size) which isn’t a brand I’ve come across before but this product in particular retails for around £35.00 so it’s a generous addition however isn’t something I can see myself using. Described as a potent treatment, it stimulates the five key structuring collagens responsible for the cohesion and firmness of the lips. The result is lips that are rounder, plumper and fuller then before with a noticeably renewed youth.
Last out of the box is the Laura Geller Spackle Tinted Bronze Make Up Primer (RRP £25.00), a lightweight formula that has been designed to revive and retexturise your skin, helping you to achieve a flawless smooth finish with a sheer bronze tint. This primer truly impressed me and leaves such subtle glow despite the scary looking shade! If you haven’t tried this yet from the box you need to!
My Verdict
Having received some lovely curations from Look Incredible in the last few months, their October line-up just didn’t have usual spark in comparison to previous editions but having said that there’s a few products that I’ll almost certainly be able to make use out of so it’s not all bad – I think the addition of both the primers saved this box! In terms of favourites, the Laura Geller Tinted Primer was the item I was least expecting to love but surprisingly it turned out to be a winning product from the line-up so I’m delighted that this made its way inside the box. Overall, not a bad attempt on Look Incredible’s part but this month’s box definitely wasn’t one of their best so here’s to hoping they raise the bar for November.
