It’s Roccabox time and for October they’re back with their usual blogger collaboration and have partnered up with beauty, fashion and lifestyle blogger Daisie Smith. In comparison to last month, I think it’s a good improvement and there’s a nice variety on the beauty front in the form of samples and full sizes and I love that they’ve thrown in some new discoveries too from brands I’ve not had much experience with which certainly makes the unboxing experience that more exciting!

Here’s what they featured inside their October:
First out of the box we have the Yes to Cucumbers Calming Sleep Mask (x1 RRP £3.00) which promises to reduce redness and irritation to create a refreshed morning complexion. It absorbs instantly over the face and won’t transfer ensuring a deep, intense treatment. I love the cleansing wipes from this range so I’m hoping the same quality has been passed down to this mask.
Another skin care addition inside this month’s box is the Bliss Fabulous Make-Up Melt Gel-to-Oil Cleanser (Travel size), a unique formula that transforms from a gel to a lightweight cleansing oil on application and gently removes make-up (even waterproof mascara), surface oil and dirt. Ingredients-wise, it contains a powerful blend of oils that aim to nourish the skin, such as tamanu, crambe, peppermint and jojoba esters. It’s also free from artificial fragrances, colours, mineral oils, soap, parabens, sulphates and phthalates,
Moving onto make-up there’s a full sized lipstick from Milani, a brand I’ve not had much experience with but their product range is very budget friendly. Their HD Advanced Lip Color in the shade Classy Nude (RRP £4.99) is a 3-in-1 formula that nourishes, hydrates, and delivers a sheer wash of colour with clarity and perfect radiant shine. It promises to instantly comfort dry, chapped lips, and provides long-term moisturisation. The product applies very smoothly and feels more like a lip balm rather than a lipstick and comes out slightly more sheer than it appears in the tube which is great if you’re hesitant to try a bold lip.
Up next and a U.S best seller is the Buxom Cosmetics Lash Mascara (Travel size), a vitamin enriched, clump resistant formula that deepens. darkens and thickens lashes while the hourglass shaped brush evenly coats lashes, from root to tip, for perfect separation and definition. It also claims to be long wearing, vitamin enriched, smudge and clump resistant.
Lastly and a very apt addition for anyone who wants to fake that summer glow is the Vita Liberata Body Blur (Sample size), an instant HD skin finish for face and body which blurs imperfections, adds colour and gives the skin natural looking radiance. The BB properties minimises blemishes, covers imperfections, and smoothes the skin’s appearance while reflecting light for a photo-ready skin finish. The natural-looking tint lifts your skintone, adding radiance and a healthy-looking glow that can be showered off when you choose.
My Verdict
In comparison to last month’s edit, I think their October box was definitely my kind of line-up, it was well-balanced and even featured some new discoveries which is always a plus point in my book as I’m a little bored of seeing the same products pop up time and time again. Value-wise, Roccabox is still one of the few boxes which not only is on the affordable side in terms of the monthly subscription but they always throw in a couple of full sizes too. Overall, I thought there was a pretty good selection on board and I am perhaps the most excited to try the Yes to Cucumbers Mask so I’ll be saving this for my next pamper session which actually happens to be this evening – I’ve been struck down with a rotten cold and need all the help I can get to look a little human again!
