Just in time for Valentine’s Day, this month’s Look Incredible Deluxe Beauty Box has arrived and features some great additions for date night or a night out with the girls. In comparison to last month’s which I really loved, their February edition isn’t an absolute favourite of mine but there’s a couple of products which I’m pleased to see on board. As always you can expect to see all full sizes and it’s a great option for those who want to try products from good quality brands plus they also very often include brands from the higher end of the beauty spectrum such as Gucci, Armani and Marc Jacobs to name a few – unfortunately none of those made the cut this month!

If you’re new to Look Incredible they offer three types of beauty boxes which range from £25 – £65 and aim to deliver lust worthy beauty treats (mainly make-up) from brands we all love and know straight to your door and no spoilers are released so it’s a complete surprise when it arrives.

Here’s what I received inside the February Deluxe edition:

Up first and one of my favourite products featured this month is The Balm Meet Matte Hughes in the shade dedicated (Full size RRP £15.00) which was so apt for this time of the year. Unfortunately I didn’t get to rock this lipstick on Valentines Day as my husband was working but I really do like the shade which is a blue toned red. The formula is very comfortable to wear and eventually does dry down to leave a matte finish but most of all it doesn’t feel like it’s sucking all the moisture out of your lips! If you’re looking for a matte lipstick then I’d definitely recommend trying Meet Matte Hughes as it’s easy to apply, very pigmented and the staying power was beyond what I expected.

Just when I thought I had seen the last of the Cargo palettes their Getaway Eyeshadow Palette (RRP £34.00) turns up! I’ve got nothing against the brand and thanks to beauty boxes I’ve come across a couple that I like but this one just doesn’t appeal to me at all. The eye shadows are arranged into 3 quads and 6 duos of expertly coordinated shades to achieve a variety of looks. This palette will help you create your perfect look, no matter where in the world your travels take you!

Next we have the Shiseido Perfect Mascara Full Definition (Full size RRP £24.00) which is described as an exceptional formula and brush that captures every single lash for an opulent and lustrous finish, that maintains a just-applied 16 hour glamorous look. The dual-textured brush coats every lash while the firm tip captures even tiny lashes to add remarkable volume, separation and length.

If you’re a regular reader you’ll know that I’m not a fan of coffee scrubs however the Utan & Tone Firming Coffee Scrub (Full size RRP £19.99) is described as a low-oil (thank god!) scrub that’s been specially formulated for prepping your skin before tan and the bag is huge! This firming coconut coffee scrub tightens, tones, reduces cellulite and stretch-marks and is the fastest and most effective way to remove residue self-tan and is completely free of any Parabens, Alcohols, Synthetics or Additives and is suitable for use on your face and body.

My Verdict

In comparison to last month’s edition which was more suited to my likes, their February curation just didn’t have that usual wow factor but having said that I did like the matte lipstick and mascara so it’s not a huge fail on their part. If you’ve not guessed already I’m a little bored of seeing the Cargo Palettes pop up time and time again and unfortunately this one just didn’t appeal to me at all not to mention the giant coffee scrub bag from Utan – if you’re a regular reader you’ll know that I just don’t like these types of scrubs as not only do they make the bath surface slippery but they tend to leave an oily film on the body too so it will be interesting to see if the oil content really is low. Here’s to hoping next month’s edit makes up for the shortfall!

If you want to discover premium and high end brands at a fraction of the price each month, the deluxe box really is great for that!
