I haven’t posted a review for a while mainly due to the fact that the snow has really buggered up my deliveries so it’s really nice to be back! Today’s blog post features my March Deluxe Look Incredible Box review and unboxing and in comparison to last month I think this month’s edition is so much more appealing and features full sizes from Gucci, Tarte, Too Faced and Skyn Iceland.
If you’re new to Look Incredible they offer three types of beauty boxes which range from £25 – £65 and aim to deliver lust worthy beauty treats (mainly make-up) from brands we all love and know straight to your door and no spoilers are released so it’s a complete surprise when it arrives.
Here’s what I received inside the March Deluxe edition:
Up first and one of the items that caught my attention straightaway was the Too Faced Passport to Bronze Set (RRP £25.00) that consists of three 0.8 oz Too Faced Bronzer in the shade Sun Bunny Natural Bronzer in Dark, Milk Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer in Light/Medium, Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer in Medium/Deep and a super cute kabuki brush. I’m super picky with bronzers as some are either too orange, glittery or they look muddy but I am liking the look of both the matte ones and love that these are so compact and tiny meaning they are super easy to travel with not to mention it also gives you an opportunity to try out three bronzers without having to pay for a full sized one. Oh did I mention they smell like chocolate too!
When it comes to taming my brows, I’ve only ever used the PIXI Brow Gel so I’m excited to see how the Tarte Tarteist Brow Gel (Full Size RRP £18.00) compares. Described as a weightless, colourless, brush-on eyebrow gel, it shapes, separates & sets your look without any stiff build-up and pretty much sounds just like the Pixi one although this one does have a smaller spoolie which I like.
One of the aspects I love about the Look Incredible Deluxe boxes is very often they do include some high end brands and this month you can expect to see the Gucci Vibrant Demi Glaze Lip Lacquer in the shade Dark Romance (Full size £25.00). This vibrant Lip Lacquer delivers a dose of intense colour with a demi-glaze finish and a sophisticated shine. It’s also packed with pigment and formulated with an expert balance of oils for a rich, creamy consistency. I’m just not into lip gloss so I doubt I’ll get much use out of this but it is without a doubt a pretty shade which really packs a punch on the shine front!
Last out of the box we have a pack of the Skyn Iceland Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels (x8 RRP £25.00) and they work intensively to diminish puffiness, brighten dark circles and enhance elasticity to counteract crêpey-ness. Enriched with hydrolysed elastin to increase firmness, alongside acetyl hexapeptide to reduce visibility of fine lines by inhibiting the muscle stimulation mechanisms, these 10-minute treatments reverse the skin-ageing effects that accompany a high-adrenaline lifestyle. You simply place under each eye then remove to reveal brighter, wide-awake eyes.
My Verdict
So there you have it this month’s Look Incredible Deluxe box review and I think you’ll agree there was definitely a noticeable improvement on the line-up front in comparison to February’s edition. With this in mind it’s safe to say they’ve certainly made up for the shortfall with just the Too Faced product alone – I love miniature make-up (something you really appreciate when your make-up bag is bursting at the seams!). Other than the lip gloss, the remainder is all very usable for me and I can’t wait to road test the Tarte Brow Gel and see how it compares to the one I currently use from Pixi. As always, every single item is full sized and totals up to a respectable £93.00.
If you want to discover premium and high end brands at a fraction of the price each month, the deluxe box really is great for that!
