It seems forever since the last Moi-Même Box so seeing their April edit drop on the doorstep was such a delightful sight as this box really has the tendency to cheer up the dullest of days! Their latest curation is themed the Nature Box and pays homage to our beautiful, precious planet and is filled with gifts that have come from, been inspired by or will help you care for our natural world. With the environment needing our help more than ever, I absolutely love how they’ve incorporated such an important topic into this month’s line-up and raising awareness amongst their subscribers which alone gets full marks from me as seeing all those photos of plastic bags in our ocean really heart breaking. Once again the contents are amazing and they’ve truly done a fantastic job to ensure each product has a place within the edit plus every single item sits perfectly with the new season too! If you subscribe today then you’ll receive the July edition but for those who love the look of the April box it’s available now to buy as a one-off purchase for £59.95 via https://www.moi-meme.co.uk/product/spring-2018-the-nature-box/

If you’re new to Moi-Même Box then they are a quarterly subscription box that features an expertly styled assortment of fashion, beauty and lifestyle treats and also offer both full size and premium products. The boxes are also centred around a theme and really are a true treat.

Here’s a closer look at all the goodies that made the cut inside their April edition:

Up first and in a bid to reduce the amount of plastic bottles we purchase and throw away, the Chilly’s mid-size bottle (RRP £20-25 500ml) is so fitting for this month’s Nature theme. Chilly’s provide modern and stylish reusable products which are designed to combine the convenience of a plastic water bottle, with the high performance technology and eco-friendly benefits of a traditional flask and come in a variety of colours and sizes. It also impressively keeps drinks ice cold for up to 24 hours, regardless of the outside temperature, keeps your tea or coffee hot for up to 12 hours and also benefits from an airtight screw top lid to prevent soaked bags and accidental spills.

The marble trend is definitely something that’s not going away anytime soon and sticking to lifestyle we have the Blonde and Stone’s square coaster (x1 RRP £25.00 x 4) in a stunning marble design. Blonde and Stone is a British based marble brand offering a curated selection of marble homeware and accessories, launched in 2018.  The label is known for its minimalistic luxury marble basics, designed and created in London, England. The hand polished surface showcases the distinct patterns of the stone, while concealed rubber feet protect surfaces from scratches. I’ve recently just renovated my dining room and the design is the perfect finishing touch to my dining table – it’s a shame they don’t do placemats as I would have definitely purchased some!

Moving onto beauty and a brand I’ve had an amazing experience with in the past is Siskyn and all subscribers can expect to see the Rose and Neroli Day Facial Oil (Full size 30ml RRP £42.00) amongst the line-up. This award winning 100% organic oil is blended with 17 certified organic botanical oils and includes Organic Avocado, high in ultra moisturising oleic acid, skin regenerating Organic Rosehip to boost collagen production and skin firming Organic Camellia. With the added benefits of Organic Rose Otto and Organic Neroli to stimulate cell growth and give us it’s gorgeous natural aroma. It does state on their website that the oil is suitable for all skin types but a higher oleic acid content means that it’s extra nourishing for dryer, more mature skin types. Use extra sparingly on acne prone skins. Being on the oily side, I think I’ll try this as night oil instead.

Up next and a completely new brand discovery for me is the HOLISTICA’s Crystal Mist (various types full size £24.50) – I don’t know about you but I get really excited by mists, I love that refreshing feeling it leaves behind! Powered by crystals in the form of hydrosols, Calming rose and balancing geranium combine with the hydrating goodness of aloe vera to create dewy lit-from-within skin. Charged with rose quartz crystals (which are settled at the bottom of the bottle), the ultimate stone of self-love, kindness and compassion, this crystal mist is your glow-to for that monday morning motivation crash, or days when your skin feels a tad dull.

If I‘m completely honest, I wasn’t too thrilled to see yet another scarf within this month’s line-up but I’m going to let that slide as this one by Scarves by MSH (available in various colours RRP £12.00) is such a stunning and delicate piece and I just love the hint of gold mixed in with the pink. MSH is a small company that began as a shop in Notting Hill over 10 years ago. Now based in Glasgow, founders Maggie and Ann work with local designers to create an extensive range of scarves and other accessories that they supply to boutiques across the UK.

Last but not least and adding a lovely touch to the theme is a packet of Wild Flower Favours. I’m always happy to do my little bit for the environment and these seeds are a great excuse to get outdoors. With a mix of poppy, cornflower, corn marigold and corn chamomile seeds, this Moi-Même designed packet is your little contribution to help the butterflies and bees.

 My Verdict

Pulling off themes can be difficult at the best of times and Moi-Meme Box definitely had their work cut here out here but I think you’ll agree they’ve done an amazing job incorporating such an important topic within this month’s line-up and sourcing a fabulous array of products to match, all of which are the perfect welcome to spring. It’s safe to say I’ll be able to put every single item to good use and I’m really looking forward to trying out all of the new discoveries but on the flip side I’m not sure how my skin will react to the facial oil as it seems to favour dryer skin types but I’ll definitely give it a go as my skin really benefited from the last oil from Siskyn. The addition of the wild flower seeds was also such a lovely touch to encourage us to help our local bee and butterfly population and with the sunny weather on it’s way (fingers everything crossed!) it’s the perfect excuse to get outdoors (the Chilly’s bottle can tag along too as gardening is thirsty work!). Overall, I definitely discovered some new beauty and lifestyle favourites in this box and needless to say it was another beautiful edition which ranks high.

Moi-Meme really do go out of their way to source the prettiest products for their edits and although the subscription box market is growing on a daily basis, their concept is by far unique and enticing and personally I love all the new finds and the high quality offerings from small batch companies and brands that are under the radar meaning they are very unlikely to show up in any of the other boxes. In terms of the cost, the quarterly subscription roughly amounts to the same if you’re already a monthly beauty box subscriber but the only downside is you’re parting with £49.95 in one go which may not be feasible for some but it’s worth trying at least once.

The best beauty and lifestyle box in the UK – FACT!
