Receiving a beauty subscription box is a lovely pick me up and something to look forward to each month, but when a company like Pink Parcel combine a beauty box with practical products for that time of the month suddenly that guilty treat feels a lot more justifiable don’t you think! For me personally, their July Glow edition is definitely an improvement in comparison to last month and contains quite a lot of beneficial products for me but on the flip side it is a little skin care heavy. The line up also features make up, tea and chocolate in addition to pads and tampons (dependant on your preferences) to ensure you’re absolutely covered.

If you’re new to Pink Parcel it’s a subscription service for your monthly cycle who send you what you need, right when you need it as well as some lovely treats to brighten up those days of the month. With three dispatch dates to choose from, Pink Parcel literally take care of everything and will ship your box before your period is due. If you’re worried about flows and absorbencies, they have that covered too as you can choose your preferred brand as well as the type of sanitary items to suit your flow making it completely bespoke to your needs.

Without further ado here’s what you can expect to see inside this month’s Pink Parcel:

The changes in my skin is one of the main signs which alerts me that monthly visitor is on its way so it was great to see two different masks from Mudmasky to help power up my routine! Up first and something I’ve tried previously is their Facial Detox Purifying Mask (sample size 15ml) which promises to brighten skin, refine pores, smooth and hydrate and it contains Moroccan Lava Clay, Montmorillonite Clay, Indonesian Bamboo, Allantoin, Raw Uncut Japanese Matcha tea along with a host of other beneficial ingredients to revive and restore dry, irritated skin. I didn’t notice any immediate results with this mask but to be fair I only tried it once so I’ll definitely give it another go.

Up next and something I haven’t tried from Mudmasky is the Sleep Repair Renewal Nourishing Mask (sample 15ml), which claims to repair, protect, and nourish your skin while you sleep and makes your skin look visibly less tired and as well as feeling more smooth and energised. The formula is light weight, has a slight cooling effect when applied and quickly absorbs into the skin. My skin did feel a bit more hydrated  the next morning however it’s hard to tell as I have oily skin! Having said that though I think this would be great option for long flights!

Sticking to skincare we have the Balance Me Flash Cleanse Micellar Water (Travel size 30ml) which is product I’ve tried previously and really liked so I’m happy this made the cut. Fortified with Mandarin Essential Oil and protein-rich Pea Peptide, the cleanser effortlessly dissolves impurities and promotes cell regeneration, whilst soothing Chamomile delivers anti-inflammatory benefits to calm redness and sensitivity. Expect smoother, brighter and more refined skin with a youthful glow. This is probably one of my favourite micellar cleanser’s that I’ve tried and the gentle formula does a fantastic job removing dirt and make-up without irritating the skin.

It’s always exciting when a box includes a product that you’ve had your eye on and the Magnitone WipeOut Cloth (travel size x1) is raved about for it’s magical powers and the best bit no cleanser is required (got to love lazy day skin care!). The cloth is ultra-soft and ideal for sensitive and intolerant skin types without causing irritation or dragging on the delicate eye area. Unlike cleansing wipes, this eco-friendly cloth is designed to absorb water and swell when damp which then eliminates traces of makeup from the skin without smearing them across the face first. It’s also reusable and machine washable.

If you want to be seen from space then the Jelly Pong Pong Stardrops (full size 6ml RRP £32.00) will not fail to get you noticed. This highlighter is incredibly pigmented but once blended out gives such a beautiful golden glow. I love that you can add a couple drops to your normal face cream or foundation to give a little bit of an added glow for day wear.

Tea and Sweet Treats – 2 items

As well as the beauty line up you can also expect to see a sample of tea and foodie treats – the perfect mix to kerb those cravings and as always they sure do hit the spot but always disappear so quickly!

Inside this month’s curation you can expect to see a pack of Joe & Sephs Caramel and Belgium Chocolate Popcorn and one We are Tea Super Berry Infusion Tea Bag.

My Verdict

Sticking to the glow theme throughout, this month’s Pink Parcel was definitely my kind of line-up and not a single item felt out of place. Whilst the contents were mostly dominated by skin care and could have offered more variety, it was promising to see a favourite and things that I hadn’t tried before (something you really appreciate when your beauty box blogger!) plus I’ve been wanting to try the Magnitone WipeOut cloth so that was a lovely bonus for me. As always the foodie item went down a treat but to mix things up a little it would be a nice change to make receive a sample of coffee once in a while especially for those who don’t drink tea.

Priced at £12.99 a month, Pink Parcel is without a doubt incredible value and I personally love the convenience of getting all my monthly essentials sent straight to my door which in turn really takes the hassle out not to mention it does a great job lifting up the mood with all the extra’s inside!
