This month’s Birchbox brings something very exciting to the table as for November they’ve teamed up with Disney to celebrate the release of the Nutcracker and the Four Realms with a gorgeous box design to match. My box touches on skin care, make up and a space mask – if you’re a regular reader you’ll know that I love this mask regardless of the fact it keeps popping up inside beauty boxes! If you fancy subscribing don’t forget to use the code at the end of this post to get the November box plus a surprise Birchbox for just £5.00 plus £2.95 p&p.

If you’re new to Birchbox they are one of the main leaders in the beauty box subscription market. Each month they’ll send you 5 deluxe sample and travel size beauty products (including the occasional full-size!) You can expect a mix of make-up, skincare, body, and haircare to upgrade your beauty routine.

Without further ado here’s what I received inside my November Birchbox (Contents may vary. Please see the November spoiler post to see what you may receive).

First out of the box and an item that subscribers got to pick is the Manna Kadar Diamond Dust Rollerball (Full size) which is comes in two shadesI received Pixie, a beautiful bronze hue! This promises to add a touch of sparkle and shine to your make-up game and the rollerball packaging guarantees smooth, easy application and long-lasting colour without any mess or fuss. Plus, it works on eyes, face, and even lips if you’re feeling experimental!

Moving onto skin care we have the Dr.PAWPAW Original Clear Balm  (Full size 10ml),multitasking balm that will not fail to solve some of those daily beauty woes and is made from a variety of natural ingredients including Pawpaw (Papaya), Olive Oil and Aloe Vera Oil.  This versatile balm can be used on dry areas, as a lip balm, moisturiser, cuticle cream, smoothing the hair or to treat skin conditions such as dermatitis and eczema. It’s even gentle enough to use on a baby’s bottom as a nappy cream which really gives you an idea of how natural and gentle the formula is. While I’m a huge fan of this particular balm I already have SO many to get thorough as it’s another item that pops up a lot inside beauty boxes!

Up next is the Polaar Polar Night Cream (sample size 25ml), a cream designed to de-stress and revitalize the skin during the night. Its formula concentrated in lights-seaweeds active biological mechanisms responsible for cellular regeneration night. Wake up the smoothed skin regains its radiance.

Although I received this very same Paul & Joe Illuminating Foundation Primer (Travel size) earlier in the year, I really liked it so I’m not too sad that it’s turned up again! This moisturising primer is infused with orange flower water which  forms the base of this formula, along with 3 types of hyaluronic acid that absorb into the skin at different rates throughout the day to keep your complexion hydrated and boosted at all times. The powerful combination of ingredients merge in a lightweight formula to act as a flexible veil over the skin, helping your makeup stay put for longer whilst banishing excess sebum production to maintain complexion perfection all day long! I love miniature makeup products and this little sample is just the cutest plus it’s definitely one of the better quality primers I’ve tried.

Last but not least we have a Spacemask (Full size), a genius invention that warms and alleviates strain on your eyes which in turn aids in calming you down and relaxing your mind from long days of work, excessive screen staring, stress and headaches. The mask gently heats up and lasts around 15 minutes and definitely helps me to relax and drift off into sleep!

My Verdict

While the collaboration with Disney this month was a true treat, unfortunately I wasn’t so in love with the contents I received. For me, there were quite a few products that I had previously received via other beauty boxes so this alone took the excitement out of the line-up for me. I also received a repeat in the form of the foundation primer which to be fair I’m not too sad about as I really like it! Favourites so far include includes the Space Mask and the primer but I think I’m mostly looking forward to trying out Manna Kadar Diamond Dust Rollerball, the shade is perfect for party season.
