It’s finally March and dare I say spring is in the air! I won’t get my hopes up just yet as we’re not there just yet but I absolutely love this time of the year and with spring in mind, Look Fantastic have come up with such a beautiful edition and not only contains products from some of my favourite brands but they’ve also featured a brand that I’ve been curious about. This month you can expect to see products covering skin and body care and make-up in the form of good sized samples as well as three full sizes too.
Without further ado, here’s my unboxing and thoughts on this month’s curation:
A brand I’m forever obsessed with is Rituals, I love their home and bath range so I was delighted to see their Hand Balm (Full size 70ml) in one of my favourite scents Ritual of Sakura. This particular scent is light and airy and the formula itself is rich and feels very luxurious.
Moving onto skin care we have the Madara Smart Anti-Pollution Charcoal and Mud Repair Mask (Travel size) and it’s another addition that’s sparked my interest. Described as a double action treatment, based on antioxidant-rich Black Northern Mud and Charcoal, the mask purifies, promotes skin cell renewal and removes impurities and pollution buildup. It also delivers a superdose of age-correcting vitamin A, skin-perfecting vitamin B3 (niacin), 17 amino acids and essential minerals that work to reduce the first signs of ageing and recharge the skin with energy and glow. It can be used 2–3 times a week. Masking is one of my favourite things when it comes to skin care and this one appears to target quite a few of my very own concerns.
The next skin care addition inside the box is the Omorovicza Cleansing Foam (Travel size) which harnesses the powers of Hungarian thermal water and the delicately scented blue cleansing foam purifies and refreshes the skin, morning or evening. The sulphate-free formula removes all makeup and impurities without stripping skin of moisture. Although this has been marketed as a foam cleanser, it actually doesn’t foam up but does leave your skin feeling clean without drying it out. This was in fact featured in 2017 but one repeat out of six is pretty good!
Confession time…I’ve never tried anything from The Ordinary (the shame) so I was pretty chuffed to see the Hyaluronic Acid (Full size) on board. This lightweight, easily absorbed serum works to rehydrate skin on a multi-depth level and combines 3 types of hyaluronic acid at varying molecular sizes with Vitamin B5 to offer lasting hydration and visible plumping of the skin at all levels of the dermis. Moisture retention, lipid barrier strength, and surface hydration are all improved, leading to smoother, softer, healthier skin.
Up next is the EOS Visibly Soft Lip Balm (Full size) which is another favourite of mine! Packed with a blend of conditioning ingredients, including Cocoa and Shea Butters, the deeply hydrating lip balm glides effortlessly over lips, helping to restore moisture and softness to leave your pout looking enhanced and replenished. Also contains a cocktail of four moisturising oils to ensure lips are left feeling smooth, supple and buttery soft. Free from parabens, petrolatum and gluten.
Last out of the box and a brand I’ve been wanting to try more of is Morphe so it was exciting to see their High Impact Highlighter in the shade Spark which comes in such a lovely golden shade and it’s something I think I’m going to really like!
My Verdict
Yet again, I’m liking what Look Fantastic have picked out for March and I hope this is a taster of what we can expect from now on as the repetition of products time and time again was getting a little tedious. This month’s line-up covered a good ground and was so much more refreshing which in turn made such a nice change. The only disappointing aspect for me was we only received one make-up item but I can’t really complain as last month was mainly dominated by make-up! The products I’m most looking forward to trying out is the face mask, highlighter and the hyaluronic acid.
