The April BirchBox has finally arrived. The theme this month is “Good enough to eat” not literally of course!
“BirchBox” is a monthly beauty subscription service. The box consists of 4-5 selected hair, make-up and beauty products from well-known brands and new brands.
This month’s box included 2 full sized products, 3 sample sized products and a bag of popcorn to compliment their theme. The box mainly consisted of Beauty, make up and hair products this month. Definitely a good mix of products.
1. Tommy Guns Pomegranate & Orange Flower Shampoo – Full Size 250ml RRP £5.50
I have never heard of this brand however this product is a gentle daily shampoo for all hair types. Ingredients include Pomegranate which helps gently cleanse and Orange Flower to soothe and bring out the natural shine whilst highlighting fairer tones.
This shampoo smells absolutely amazing and refreshing and a great everyday product which is gentle and not harsh. A good sized bottle at an reasonable price.
2. The Balm Cosmetics How Bout them Apples Cheek and Lip Cream – Sample Size 0.57g Full Size RRP £26.00 for the Palette
Another new brand! The packaging of this sample was so adorable and cute! I received the colour Pie in this sample.
This is an easy-to-blend cream that offers a gorgeous, long lasting pop of colour to the cheeks and lips.
This applied well and the colour really suited me. Not a colour I would generally go for however this may have changed my mind! They do a full size palette for £26 which I may be tempted to purchase. There’s some great colours in there!
3. One Love Organics Waterless Beauty Balm – Sample Size 15ml. Full Size RRP £30.00
This is a-do-it-all balm to remove make up, cleanse and moisturise skin – it even tames flyaways!
I haven’t heard of this brand but The Skin Savior Waterless Beauty Balm is exactly what it says it is: a Balm. So the texture and feel is thick yet so smooth. I have to mention that a little goes a long way and smells so fruity that you want to eat it!
This Contains pure, cold-pressed plant oils, rich mango butter, and three super-critical extracts and breaks down dirt and makeup, cleansing your skin, without stripping its natural protective layer and its organic!
This is an all purpose balm which is great for lots of different uses – the possibilities are endless!
4. Colour Club Gala’s Gem Nail Varnish – Full Size 7ml. £15.00 for set of 4.
BirchBox earlier in the month asked its subscribers to choose the colour of the nail varnish which they wanted from a selection of 4 which was great. I choose the colour Breakfast At which was a mint like colour and ideal now the weather is brightening up!
BirchBox collaborated with London-based Spanish blogger, Gala Gonzales to bring their subscribers an exclusive polish.
I have not tried this yet but will do very soon!
5. Lord & Berry Couture Kohl Kajal Eye Pencil – Sample Size. Full Size RRP £10.00
I can definitely say that I am an eye make-up addict and I was pleased to see this in my BirchBox. I can go without lip stick, blusher and foundation but never eye makeup!
This applied just how a eyeliner should – smooth and colour intensive. A great product.
6. ProperCorn Fiery Worcester Sauce & Sundried Tomato Full Size RRP £0.90p
A gourmet guilt-free bag of popcorn ideal for a quick snack!
I’ve not tried this yet but looking forward to trying the flavour. Hope it’s not too fiery!
My Verdict
Last month’s BirchBox was a big disappointment and let down however I am very pleased with this month’s box.
This month’s box included 2 full sized products, 3 sample sized products and a bag of popcorn to compliment their theme. The box mainly consisted of Beauty, make up and hair products this month. Definitely a good variety of products which included new brands.
The contents within this month’s box is worth around £20.00+
Overall this is probably the best BirchBox I have received this year and will definitely be using majority of the products I have received.
