This month see’s the brand new launch of The Heart Beauty Essentials box by Latest in Beauty in collaboration with new on board Heart FM and together they have indeed come up with a great curation. The Heart Beauty Essentials box is jam-packed with 14 products worth over £70 showcasing  a wealth of quality brands in the form of full sized products alongside some generous sized samples too. Whether you’re in the mood for pampering or out and about, there’s literally something for everyone inside this box. This edition has a great balanced beauty line up that includes skin and body care, hair products, nail varnish and even some make up treats.

1.   Philosophy purity made simple 3 in 1 cleanser for face and eyes – Sample Size 30ml. Worth £2.66

The Purity Made Simple 3-in-1 Cleanser by Philosophy is just the type of cleanser I go for so I was pleased to this inside the box. It’s multi functional formula removes make up, cleanses, tones and lightly hydrates the skin and the best part is, it’s gentle enough to use on the eyes too.

I used this as my second cleanse and it left my face feeling hydrated, very clean and soft to touch. Many cleansers make me feel like I want to put moisturiser on straightaway but this cleanser doesn’t make my face feel tight at all. I love this cleanser and I can see me re-purchasing this.

2.   Balance Me Radiance Face Mask – Travel Size 30m. Worth £7.20

Face masks have to be my favourite part of the skin care routine – they feel truly luxurious and it’s always something I look forward to after a long week.

Balance Me promise natural but affordable skincare and don’t use any harmful ingredients in their products, and where possible are 100% naturally sourced.

The mask comes in a generous size and claims to deeply cleanse, exfoliate and brighten the skin with an incredible line up of ingredients such as ground walnut shells, kaolin clay, rosemary, palma rose, lavender and chamomile oils.

Unlike usual face masks that we’re use to this works a little differently and has a similar consistency of an exfoliator. You simply rub in circular motions to release the beads and leave it for 5 minutes to work the rest of it’s magic before removing with warm water. I loved the way this made my skin look brighter and left my skin feeling much smoother. With regular use I’m looking forward to seeing the changes it brings to my skin.

3.   Amie Morning Light Hydrating Daily Moisturiser – Full Size 100ml RRP £4.95

Amie isn’t a brand I’ve tried before so I was happy to see this new discovery in the form of their Morning Light Hydrating Daily Moisturiser.

The moisturiser contains skin-friendly natural extracts of rosehip seed oil, rose extract and mallow, and is perfect for skin that is prone to dryness and in need of gentle, effective nourishment. It’s lightweight formula has a pleasant rose scent and promises to absorb quickly, giving skin long-lasting hydration.

As this leans more towards dry skin I didn’t try this out but I think those who do will love this formula especially if you’re a fan of rose scented products.

4.   bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream – Sample Size

New to their UK collection, this multitasking genius combines skincare benefits and naturally radiant coverage in one. The best of a BB, a CC, and a tinted moisturiser…with a 215% increase in skin hydration after just one week. There’s two different shades inside the pack and I’m hoping one of them is a perfect match for me.

This lightweight tinted Complexion Rescue gel cream alleviates the need for a heavy foundation, giving a smooth tint to your face and evening out your complexion in the stroke of a brush.

I’m really intrigued about this new formula as I wear BB and CC creams all the time and the fact that they’ve combined the two has got me very interested.

5.  Nails Inc Gel Effect Nail Polish in Hyde Park Place – Full Size 8ml RRP £15.00

I’m a big Nails Inc fan and even more so when it comes to their sleek square bottles.

Hyde Park Place is a pretty soft grey that I can see myself wearing quite often because it just goes with everything and it’s one of those colours that can simply take you from day to night.

6.   Le Couvent Des Minimes Cloisters Moisturising Hand Cream – Full Size 25ml. RRP £3.00

I can never have enough hand creams. “More is always less”, that’s what I tell myself! I’ve used up the last hand cream I received by Le Couvent Des Minimes and delighted to have received another variant in Rose and Berries.

This luxurious lotion grabs your attention straight away with its scent. The lovely rose fragrance with very delicate berry notes is both alluring and feminine just like a bouquet of roses. The cream feels lightweight yet very nourishing without leaving your hands feeling greasy.

7.   Kneipp Devil’s Claw Herbal Bath –  Sample Size 20ml. Worth £1.99

I can’t think of anything more relaxing than a hot dreamy bath after a long day for clearing the mind and curing aching muscles so in terms of pampering I think this is a great addition.

The Kneipp Devils Claw Herbal Bath magically soothes and releases tension in the neck, back and shoulders. Containing extracts of the Devils Claw plant native to Southern Africa, recognised for its powerful anti-inflammatory properties making it ideal for comforting the body.

8.   Dove Youthful Vitality Shampoo and Conditioner – Travel Size 50ml each. Worth £2.38

This appears to be a new range from Dove and has made it’s rounds within a few boxes lately. This duo mainly concentrates on ageing hair to give it the boost it needs with a unique formula infused with Cysteine rich-Protein and Elasto-Lipids, bringing a deep replenishment with double fullness to create youthful and thicker looking hair. One of my pet peeves is receiving a shampoo without the conditioner or vice versa so it was good to see a duo to really get a feel of Dove’s Youthful Vitality range.

9.   Wild About Beauty Eye Shadow – Full Size RRP £13.00

I’ve been really impressed so far with Wild About Beauty’s make up range especially their eyeshadows that are embossed with a bee and are just too pretty to use (I tend to just sweep on the outskirts of the bee!)

Shades will vary and I received Jody, a matte smokey grey that really gives scope for creativity.

The eyeshadow is buttery and pigmented making it a dream to work with alongside the colour pay off which is really impressive and can be used wet for a more dramatic look. I’m really fussy when it comes to eyeshadow shades but this ticks all the boxes for me and is definitely something I will continue to use.

10.  Green People Sun Lotion SPF15 with Tan Accelerator –  Sample Size 20ml. Worth £1.89

With summer soon approaching everyone’s attention will be turning to the outdoors so the inclusion of this sun lotion by Green People will certainly come in useful for those who have summer breaks or festivals coming up.

The Green People Sun Lotion SPF 15 With Tan Accelerator contains three layers of sun protection in one. UV protection, antioxidants and tanning acceleration all feature in this natural and pure skin protector, providing you with 25% more tan.

11.  Vichy Idealia Life Serum –  Sample Size 3ml. Worth £3.10

The Vichy Idealia Life Serum helps combat behavioural aging and improve skin quality. It claims  to even and illuminate the complexion, refine pores, and rest facial features. It’s safe for sensitive skin, and suitable for all  skin types with a hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic, and paraben-free formula.

I’ve not tried much from Vichy and this sounds exactly what my skin needs at the moment.

12.  Skyn ICELAND Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels –  1 Sachet. Worth £3.12

A cult favourite amongst celebrities this cooling transdermal gel patch infuses the eye area with highly potent actives and Icelandic glacial water to firm, tone, brighten and reduce the appearance of puffiness and wrinkles. Eyes are revived, soothed and rejuvenated.

With a long weekend of nothing planned I’m definitely going to be trying these out to banish my tired looking eyes.

13. Heart Expandable Face Cloth

A cloth in the shape of a heart, what’s not to love!

It magically expands into a full sized cloth when immersed into warm water. A lovely bonus that fits aptly with Heart FM!

My Verdict

Working full-time and life in general sometimes seems to overtake all at once leaving me with very little time for pampering and recuperation, so after weeks of feeling rather frazzled I was delighted to see the Heart Beauty Essentials Box land on my doorstep, it really is a must-have! It’s the perfect excuse to take some out and boasts a fantastic line up with great brands on board. Most of the products for me were all new discoveries and contained a mixture of full sized products alongside some generous sized samples. There’s some great highlights and with 14 products crammed inside the box there is literally something for everyone. I’ve not tried everything but with no plans this weekend I’ll be sure to try the remainder and come Tuesday I’ll be revived and fresh-faced, a brand new me!

Latest in Beauty have already brought us some great collaborations this year and I can’t wait to see what they have in store for us next.

Individually, the products would cost over £70.00, but you can get your hands on the whole lot for just £15.00 plus postage making it super-affordable and great value for money.
