Although Pink Parcel have been around for quite a while, excitedly this is my first ever box and what a month to be introduced as they’ve had a little bit of a makeover inside and out! It’s bad enough having to deal with that unwelcomed guest each month but Pink Parcel are trying to change that by delivering your preferred monthly essentials and a really good mix of surprises from beauty to lifestyle to make that time of the month a little more exciting and bearable. The actual size of the box is huge and inside it’s brimmed to the top with everything you could possibly need for a happy period, it’s impressive and definitely has you covered from the first day to even the last and all the uncanny stuff which happens in between too! It’s a monthly gift that you’ll definitely want to keep and the best bit its great value for money!

Pink Parcel is a subscription service for your monthly cycle who send you what you need, right when you need it as well as some lovely treats to brighten up those days of the month. With three dispatch dates to choose from, Pink Parcel literally take care of everything and will ship your box before your period is due. If you’re worried about flows and absorbances, they have that covered too as you can choose your preferred brand as well as the type of sanitary items to suit your flow making it completely bespoke to your needs.

Upon opening the box it was brimmed to the top and I love that everything’s organised discreetly within little boxes usefully labelled so you know exactly what’s inside.

1. Period Essentials

No matter what your cycle length is the amount of sanitary items and liners included within the box is impressive. You can also choose between receiving pads or tampons and they also include some liners too.

I was particularly happy to see popular brands on board such as Tampax, Always and Body Form. If you’re anything like me then this really helps avoid last-minute runs to the supermarket! There’s also a useful drawstring pouch which you can slip into your handbag for carrying your monthly essentials when you’re on the go too.

2. SASS Intimate Purifying Cleanser – Full Size 100ml RRP £7.00

With Pink Parcel’s new revamped concept, all subscribers will receive a feminine hygiene product each month and this edition includes a full sized Intimate Purifying Cleanser from SASS.

The SASS Purifying Cleanser has been specially created to help you feel fresh throughout the day. Their gentle formula contains special Ecodermine technology that acts as a probiotic to maintain intimate harmony, soothes the skin and helps you be at your best.

3. The Beauty Treats – 4 Items. Worth £23.97

If you love discovering beauty products then you’ll love the generous mix of full sized products within this month’s edition. I’m so impressed with the line up, it includes great key essentials for everyday use with everything’s being very useable too.

First up is a Lip balm from LipGlam (full size 12ml RRP £9.99) a brand born in the UK and commonly known for their natural lanolin lip balm which contains 100% natural ingredients. The lanolin formula delivers instant moisture, beautiful softness and natural shine. It revitalises your skin and restores your lips’ natural beauty and amazingly keeps your skin moisturised for up to 8 hours. This multi-purpose balm can also be used to relieve dry skin, smooth split ends, eyebrow balm as well as other uses. It’s incredibly moisturising without any stickiness and is the perfect SOS handbag essential.

If mascara is a staple within your make up regime you’ll love the addition of the Bourjois Beauty’full Volume Dark Khol mascara (Full Size RRP £7.99) which claims coats every lash for fully loaded and clump-free lashes with it’s unique hourglass brush. The kohl pigments in the formula give an ultra-black result for beautifully dramatic eyes. Admittedly, it took me a couple of minutes to get to the grips with the sphere applicator but surprisingly it works very well, it gives you complete control, separates the lashes without any clumping and also manages to grip the tiniest of hairs.

You’ll need something to take off that Bourjois Mascara so inside this month’s box you’ll find a pack of Halo Eye Make Up Remover Pads (Full Size pack RRP £1.99). The pack contains 30 remover pads, are hypoallergenic and fragrance free and gently removes make up including waterproof mascara. These budget friendly pads are really moist and removed all of my eye make-up effectively and effortlessly. With the pads being slighter larger compared to others I’ve used, one was simply enough for both eyes.

A period subscription box would not be complete without a bath time treat and the Summer Fruits Tea Bath and Shower Jelly from bubble t (Full Size RRP £4.00) looks exactly like jelly, it even wiggles and jiggles and smells just like a party of fruits. The scent is very invigorating making it perfect to use when you’re really tired or simply need a pick me up in the morning.

4. Tea and Chocolate Treats – 2 items

As well as the beauty line up you can also expect to see a tea bag sachet and bar of chocolate from both emerging brands to well-known brands.

This month’s goodies include a Persian Pomegranite Tea Bag from Novus and a Date and Himilayan Pink Salt Organic Milk Chocolate bar (40g) from Doisy & Dam.

The box also includes a £25 Hello Fresh gift card to redeem against any of their boxes.

5. Arrow Pendant Necklace from This Material Culture

Last but not least and something I wasn’t’ expecting is a beautiful, dainty arrow pendant necklace from This Material Culture, it’s so pretty and is a lovely addition inside this month’s box.

My Verdict

I’m truly smitten with my first ever Pink Parcel, they’ve got the concept so spot on and the box itself is a complete kit jam-packed with your chosen monthly essentials as well as a very generous amount of exciting beauty and lifestyle treats to make that dreaded time of the month a much happier one.

Let’s face it us women aren’t the happiest creatures during this time and if the September Box is anything to go by Pink Parcel are certainly leading the way forward when it comes to period subscription boxes, they really know how to spoil us women!

Overall, I’m really pleased with my first introduction, they’ve really focused on something that’s totally dull and unpleasant and made it almost fun!  It’s a monthly gift that you’ll definitely want to keep and the best bit its great value for money too.

I’m actually looking forward to receiving my next period as I can’t wait to see what Pink Parcel have in store next month!
