The BB Bag 2
Price – $30.00 including shipping approx £18.29
No of Products  – 6 items
Total value of contents  – £44.41
http://www.beauteque.com/

This may not look like a beauty box in appearance but in theory this has the exact concept and feel and comes presented in a pretty pink make up bag as opposed to a box . Welcome to the September 2014 edition of the BB Bag by Beauteque.

Beauteque in a nutshell is two words, beauty and boutique and they are an online retailer specialising in Korean Beauty products. The products that they offer are unique high end products that aren’t readily available in the UK and and to name a few, they showcase brands such as Etude House, Mizon, Tony Moly, and Lioele.

The BB Bag, known as the Beauteque Bag which at the moment is released bi-monthly is a beauty bag which contains 5-6 Korean beauty products and they ship to the UK and other parts of the world too. The good news is they are planning to launch their BB Bag on a monthly basis from January 2015.

The BB Bag 2 is the second edition which has been released and is worth around $85 (£44.41) in value this month with 6 full sized products. September’s bag also has a little twist as you can pick 3 products of your choice.

1. Skin Food – Real Eyelashes Daily No. 1- Full Size RRP £3.04

Out of the three options available I opted for the daily type of lashes.

The individual lashes are layered across one another and are flair out towards the end which is different to the lashes I currently own. The way these are structured are great for evenings out as opposed to daily wear. These would certainly be way too glamorous for the day!

2. Holika Holika Acerola Cleansing Foam – Full Size RRP £3.66

There were three options available in this cleanser depending on your skin type and I received Acerola.
Acerola achieves vibrant skin that appears full of vitamins!  The rich multifruit BSC, amino acids and vitamin of acerola have anti-aging effects to re-energize fatigued skin. This is a foam cleanser that creates vibrant, supple skin.

3.  It’s SKIN Mini tint gloss – Full Size 8g RRP £2.38

There were 3 colours available in the lip gloss tint and I opted for the pink being a fan of all things pink.

This teeny lip tint gloss moisturises and adds a sheer tint of natural colour which is very subtle. The scent is incredibly fruity too!

4. The Face Shop Modeling Patch Cherry Cherry Lips – Full Size RRP £3.35

I’ve seen these super cute lip patches appear in various Korean boxes and was happy to finally be in possession of one.

The patch is applied for 20 minutes and it’s aim is to make the lips soft and plump. Inside the patch contains soft jelly which is made with cranberry extract to nourish, moisturise and keep the lips hydrated.

5. Beauteque Minerals Exfoliating Brush  – Full Size RRP £21.00

This cute travel-sized brush is a nice addition to the BB Bag and to the touch, is the softest facial brush I have come across. The brush is very gentle on the skin making it suitable for all skin types.

The brush is certainly a showstopper and it’s my favourite within the bag. I can’t wait to add this brush to my cleansing routine but in the meantime I’m happy to just admire it!

6. Mizon Snail Recovery Gel Cream – Full Size RRP £10.98

Whilst snails are a delicacy in the France it appears to have hit the beauty industry like a storm and has been hailed as the latest beauty wonder product promising great skin benefits.

Mizon Snail Recovery Gel Cream is a cult favorite from Korea. This multi-tasking, lightweight moisturiser is formulated with 74% snail extract which is cruelty free and an all-natural way to get soft, rejuvenated skin. This fast-absorbing gel sinks in quickly for hydrated, clear skin with improved vitality.

 My Verdict

This is my first introduction to the BB Bag and in my opinion they have selected a good variety of products from skincare to make-up from well known Korean brands. I like that I was able to customise a few options and the remainder was a complete mystery. It was also nice that the contents came enclosed within a make up bag instead of a box.

Inside the box is also a product card which is in English so you won’t be lost in translation!

The entire contents within the BB Bag are all full sized and has a value of  £44.41 beating the cost of the box which works out around £18.29 including shipping. It’s a small price to pay to discover these hidden gems and there no silly little samples in sight!

I look forward to seeing the next edition of the BB Bag which will be released in November 2014.

Memebox #28 All About Eyes Review – September 2014

Memebox Special #28 All About Eyes
Price of the Box is $35.99 including shipping approx £21.95
No of Products in the Box – 8 items
Total value of contents in the box – £79.83
http://us.memebox.com/memebox-global

Memebox Special #28 All About Eyes is a curated box which hosts a range of eye treatments and eye make up which will make your eyes bigger, brighter, and glamorous. This box includes the perfect selection to achieve either a subtle natural look or a flattering bold look. There’s also a selection of eye treatments to pamper those tired, dull looking eyes. Memebox have definitely covered all areas with this edition.

I’m a big fan of eye products especially eye make up as I mainly focus on my eyes when applying make-up. Ridiculously excited I grabbed this box as soon as it hit the website. Not knowing what to expect this curated box delivered a box full of surprises and definitely exceeded my expectations.

Memebox is a rapidly-growing, leading e-commerce beauty retailer born in Seoul, currently headquartered in San Francisco, California and provide Korean Beauty Boxes.

They offer a huge range of different themed beauty boxes which caters for everyone’s needs and likes and the good news is they ship to the UK and other parts of the world for only $6.99. These are not monthly subscription boxes and are available to buy as one off’s. They sell out very quickly so you do need to be supersonic. The contents within these boxes are a complete surprise and only one item spoiler gets released prior to shipping which is an aspect I like about Memebox.

This box includes 8 full sized products and showcases a great line up of products.

1. YniPicture-Esque 3 dots eyeliner – Full Size RRP £5.48

This revolutionary eyeliner pen is certainly different, it has a three end-brush applicator which is something I haven’t seen before.

Offering deep definition the wonderful black formula dries quickly and is waterproof which can be easily removed with warm water.

The unique applicator takes a while to get use to but you simply dot the applicator along your lashes and complete the rest of the line with all three of the brush tips. The liner is really creamy and glides on smoothly without the dragging the skin. It’s also great for applying under the lash line too.

2. Karadium Line Hero Auto Gel Liner – Full Size RRP £7.31

There were two colours available in this liner a brown and a white. I typically received the white gel liner which contains subtle gold and silver pearls and is entirely waterproof.

I tend to stick to classic shades mainly blacks and browns and will probably gift this to a friend.

3. Cheek Room Curl and Volume Mascara  – Full Size RRP £10.97

I love Mascara and whilst I own many I only have a hand full which stand out.

The Cheek Room mascara is waterproof that dramatically volumizes the lashes and uses a micro-dispersion system that doesn’t smudge or budge. It also contains Lilly-extracts which protects the lashes keeping them healthy and strong.

Surprisingly this did stay put all day without flaking or smudging  and for a waterproof mascara it comes off pretty easily and effortlessly. Whilst this didn’t make my lashes overly voluptuous it’s great for every day wear for a more natural look.

4. Cheek Room Eye Shadow – Full Size 5g RRP £4.87

The Cheek Room Eye Shadow is a pearl rich formula which contains minerals and coral powder.

I received the shade pink coral which is a vibrant pigmented colour. I’m not brave enough to experiment with bold shades and tend to stick to more classic colours. I would of much preferred the Sweet Pink which was also available.

5. Secret Star Girl S-Style Eyelashes  – Full Size Pack  RRP £4.26

Bold eye make up teamed with false lashes definitely completes the final touches to a make up look and I was delighted to see a pack containing two sets.

Out of  the three types of lashes I received The Cutie eyelashes which focuses on more definition and volume. I prefer long lashes as opposed to more volume and these are quite whispy and the length is perfect. Inside the box is also two tubes of adhesive.

6. MDaida Wonder Eye Volume Filler – Full Size RRP £25.00

Despite all of the wonderful make up discoveries within the box this Wonder Eye Volume Filler excites me the most. The outer casing has the most luxurious feel to it and the applicator has a soft sponge tip which is perfect for targeting under the area eye area.

The Wonder Eye Volume Filler is a highly enriched serum for under the eye area and works to both brighten and to treat fine lines. The formula is free from parabens, mineral oil, artificial colouring and is fragrance free.

I love the refreshing and silky feel of this serum and the results were noticeable on the first application. The area under my eyes looked brighter and as for me I looked more wide awake!

7. MDaida Wonder Eye Concealer Pen – Full Size RRP £20.73

This concealer certainly has the same look and feel as the YSL Touche Eclat Pen only it’s silver and not gold and comes in the form of a concealer rather than a highlighter.

Another item which I got excited about which is from the same brand as the Volume Filler and comes recommended by make up artists in Korea.

This multi-purpose concealer can be used under the eye area to hide dark circles and can also be used over blemishes and skin imperfections. The shade is perfect for my skin tone and the creamy formula blends in very well and looks very natural when applied. This pen is perfect for on the go touch ups.

8. Sally’s Box Friendly Collagen Eye Patch – Full Size RRP £1.21

The description of this product made me chuckle as it states the pack is a set of two which in my interpretation means two applications. It contains two eye patches for one application only!

These collagen eye patches are a hydro-gel type patch that deliver rich moisture and nutrition to dry, sensitive areas underneath the eye. The collagen formula works to tighten up sagging skin and whilst on soothes, cools and replenishes.

Will be giving these a go over the weekend.

 My Verdict

Memebox appears to be at the forefront when it comes to delivering innovative beauty products, giving their subscribers a host of new exciting beauty products to discover. I’m really impressed with this box which features a great line up of products and includes 8 full sized products.

Memebox have definitely covered all areas with this edition and I’m impressed with their selections which included an excellent variety of eye products. This is certainly one of my favourite editions from Memebox.

The box itself came well packaged in a robust padded envelope and I can confirm that no custom charges were incurred. The information about the products and how to apply them is in English on a card enclosed inside of the box so you won’t be lost in translation.

What makes Memebox very different is the variety and choice of beauty boxes which they offer their customers as a one off purchase. They release a huge amount of boxes throughout the year and will simply leave you spoilt for choice. They don’t release any spoilers prior to shipping so it’s a complete surprise when you receive it.

Memebox enables me to discover Korean beauty products which are not available here in the UK and their boxes definitely give you an opportunity to try out the latest beauty trends in Korea .

The contents within this box is has an incredible value of  £79.83 and the cost of the box including shipping works out to be around £21.95. It’s a small price to pay to discover these hidden gems. There’s no silly little samples in this box!

This box has sold out but there’s plenty more to choose from!

Love Me Beauty Box Review – September 2014

Price of the Box is £10.00 Plus £3.95 P&P
No. of Products in the Box – 4
Total value of contents in the box £20.50
http://www.lovemebeauty.com

September 2014 see’s the arrival of a new revolution which has finally landed at Love Me Beauty despite the many teething problems since the launch it’s finally up and running. Not only have they had a complete brand revamp they have also abolished their selection menu’s and replaced it with a concept which is personalised by you. Whilst it’s great you can curate your own box I really miss the old menu’s. It’s been a rocky road since the go live but just when I think I have finally got to grips with the new Love Me Beauty I receive my box and find an eye liner pen as opposed to the Mascara which I chose. After getting in touch with Love Me Beauty they will be sending me the mascara.

Each month starting from now their monthly subscription is worth 6 credits and you simply chose the items you want inside your box from a  selection of products ranging from hair, body, nails, skincare and make-up. Most of the items are either 1 or 2 credits and some have already flew off the shelf. For information on how the new concept works please visit their website.

The box came packaged in a standard box with the new Love Me Beauty logo and inside was a draw string bag with the contents. Unfortunately the new re-vamped box will not be available until October. Inside is also a welcome card but there was no information cards about the products unlike before.

The box also lacks substance and doesn’t have the same feel as previously. I would of liked to have seen a lifestyle product or some sachet samples thrown in as a bonus which would of made the box complete in my opinion.

Having a good browse on their Boutique which featured some new and old products from previous boxes I opted for practical items this month. My pickings included 4 full sized products.

1.    Anatomicals New York London Paris Body Cleanser – Full Size 300ml RRP £3.00

I was introduced to this brand at the beginning of the year and loved their bizarre tongue in cheek statements and their vibrant colours on their packaging. I love trying new bath products and this sounded right up my street.

This is infused with an invigorating mix of fruit extracts including blueberries and raspberries leaving skin feeling soft and refreshed with a fresh and fruity scent.

2.   Anatomicals Cruisin’ For A Snoozin’ Sleep Balm  –  Full Size RRP £3.50

Whilst browsing the boutique I came across this bright blue tub and the name Cruisin’ For A Snoozin’ grabbed my attention straight away.

The soothing Sleep Balm by Anatomicals is enriched with beeswax, lavender and lemon oils and has the most potent effect on promoting sleep with this natural remedy.

I don’t suffer from Insomnia and usually fall asleep pretty quick especially during the working week however I adore scents which help to calm and clear the mind and it’s the perfect size to sit on the bedside table.

3.  The Vintage Cosmetic Company Gracie Lashes – Full Size RRP £6.00

I received the same lashes in a previous Love Me Beauty edition this year and fell in love with these natural looking lashes instantly.

They are easy to apply and come with adhesive inside the pack and can be worn during the day. They are amazingly light weight and you can’t even feel that they are on.

4. Oriflame The ONE Eye Liner Stylo – Full Size  RRP £8.00

Unfortunately I got sent this eye liner pen by mistake as opposed to the mascara which I chose and for hygiene purposes I was unable to try this as Love Me Beauty wanted me to send this back to them in return for my correct item.

I will update my post once I have received the mascara.

 My Verdict

A taster of the first Love Me Beauty Box since their revolutionary launch and whilst I am happy with my selections I hope next month see’s the release of some new exciting products and hope the process is much smoother compared to this month.

The box came packaged in a standard box with the new Love Me Beauty logo and inside was a draw string bag with the contents. Unfortunately the new re-vamped box will not be available until October. Inside is also a welcome card but there was no information cards about the products unlike before.

I felt that the box also lacked substance and doesn’t have the same feel as previously. I would of liked to have seen a lifestyle product or some sachet samples thrown in as a bonus which would of made the box complete in my opinion. Whilst it’s great you can curate your own box I really miss the old menu’s however this concept will ensure that you make the most out of the products you have selected. There’s nothing worse then receiving a product which isn’t suitable for you.

My box is worth £20.50 beating the cost of the box which has now increased to £13.95 including P&P.

The Glamour Beauty Power List Box by Latest in Beauty Review – September 2014

Price of the Box is £15.99 including P&P

Total Value of contents in the box – over £80.00
http://www.latestinbeauty.com

Do you remember the fabulous Latest in Beauty Glamour Edit Box? It may appear to be a distant memory but the good news is Latest in Beauty have recently launched the Glamour Beauty Power List Box in collaboration with Alessandra Steinhurr – Beauty Director of Glamour Magazine. I’m a big fan of the Glamour editions and this box has been specially curated to showcase the 7 beauty heroes that made it into the The Glamour Beauty Power List 2014.

Latest in Beauty, known for their exceptional collection of themed beauty boxes offer something for everyone’s likes and needs whether you’re a beauty novice or an enthusiast these boxes are great for discovering brands and products at such an affordable price. These are one off purchases and no subscription is required. There’s no hidden surprises and you are fully informed as to what’s included inside the box. Once you’ve had a taster of these beauty boxes you will soon be eagerly awaiting for the next box to be released.

The box features an incredible line up and features well known brands such as Liz Earle, Eyeko, Philip Kingsley, Laura Mercier, James Read, Bourjois and Maybelline. It really isn’t surprising that the product’s chosen made the Glamour Power List 2014.

1.    James Reed Sleep Mask Tan – Sample Size 25ml RRP £27.00

As Summer draws to a close and with the temperature cooling down the chances of getting a glowing tan is pretty slim.  I always welcome self tanning products this time of year to achieve the perfect natural golden glow.

The James Reed Sleep Mask Tan offers an overnight tanning treatment in the form of a lovely light weight serum. Being the first of it’s kind to hit the industry, the lightweight formula contains skincare essentials that include aloe vera, cucumber, hyaluronic acid and red algae to moisturise the skin overnight. The self-tan ingredients guarantees a subtle golden glow by morning.

I was slightly dubious about this mask mainly because what if the developing colour was too dark for my face?  I had images of an orange face and a pale coloured body! Intrigued by the whole concept I took the plunge on Friday evening as I wasn’t going out on Saturday.

I applied a small amount of the colourless formula to my face before going to sleep and in the morning there was no  trace of the product on my pillow. To my amazement this mask gave a nice healthy glow which didn’t look artificial or too tanned. I love this revolutionary tanning product and it’s completely fool proof!

2.   Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser  –  Sample Size  30ml  RRP £22.20

I’m no stranger to this beauty hero which has won 100 Beauty Awards! I received a sample from a previous box and instantly fell in love.

This world-renowned two-part skincare system has a major cult following. It gently remove all traces of dirt, grime, and make-up including waterproof mascara and eyeliner but when used with the ingenious 100% cotton muslin cloth – it also sweeps away dulling dead skin cells for a gorgeous glow. Plus the moisturising cocoa butter and two of nature’s best astringents – eucalyptus essential oil and rosemary lifts dirt off the skin’s surface without disrupting the natural barrier function.

This miraculously makes my skin feel refreshed, cleaner and moisturised. It’s suitable for all skin types and the muslin cloth gives the perfect finish.

3. Philip Kingsley Daily Damage Defense – Sample Size 60ml

I was introduced to the iconic Philip Kingsley Elastizer last month and seeing another product from the collection is great in the form of a Daily Damage Defense Spray.

This award winning anti-breakage, heat protecting conditioning spray is for all hair types. Philip Kingsley Daily Damage Defence not only offers protection from daily environmental wear, such as UV rays and heated styling aids, but also instantly boosts your hair’s overall condition, manageability and shine.

I am constantly using heat styling tools on my hair and whilst these have completely damaged my hair I tend to stay away from using too many products on my hair before blow drying including heat protector sprays. However this rescue remedy is a conditioner, detangler and a heat protector all in one which makes me more inclined to use it.

This smells great and doesn’t weigh the hair down. My hair certainly felt softer and I’m happy that my hair has some protection now against the heat.

4. Laura Mercier Foundation Primer – Travel Size 30ml  RRP £19.00

I was so pleased to see this primer as I am nearing the end of one which I already own.

This foundation primer is oil free  and creates the perfect canvas for makeup application, especially for those with sensitive and oily skin. This soothing, lightweight, water based gel forms an even, invisible layer that acts as a buffer to outside elements, expertly holding foundation for longer wear and keeping cosmetics from being absorbed into the skin.

I use this primer religiously as a base before applying my foundation. If you have oily/combination skin it’s the perfect formula as it’s very light weigh and doesn’t feel greasy. Whilst on this definitely works hand in hand with the foundation and controls any oil production on the surface of the skin. This creates a smooth canvas which keep’s my foundation looking great and flawless all day.

5. Eyeko Eye Makeup Remover Wipes – Full Size 10 wipes in a pack. RRP £6.00

The Eyeko 100% pure cotton wipes remove all traces of even the smokiest eye make-up gently, quickly and efficiently. Infused with a botanical blend such Olive Oil and Aloe Extract to condition and soothe the delicate eye area.

I love all of forms of beauty wipes mainly because they are great for when you are on the go. I tend to stick to the conventional cotton wool pad drenched in make up remover and was happy to see this alternative. My cleansing regime mainly focuses of the removal of eye make up and no matter how many times I wipe there are still small traces of mascara left on the lashes.

The wipes are quite thick and very moist and it literally takes a couple of sweeps to remove all traces of your eye make up. I used both sides of one wipe for both eyes which worked effectively. I’m really impressed with these but it’s pretty pricey for a pack of 10 wipes which retails at £6.00.

6. Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Mascara – Full Size 12ml. RRP £9.99

The Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde mascara gives lashes instant 360° volume and its unique brush has spherical bristles to wrap every lash and straight bristles to create clump free definition.

I usually seek more length as opposed to volume when it comes to a mascara however I was intrigued by their 1 second statement.

The brush is fantastic and separates the lashes perfectly without any clumping, The depth of the black is wonderful and really gives the lashes a fuller effect. Whilst this appears to mainly focus on volume I found that it worked very well in lengthening the lashes too.  Not sure that one second quite does it, but nonetheless, I am really happy with the results.

7. Maybelline Stripped Nudes by COLORsensational – Full Size RRP £6.99

Oh no! The dreaded nude lipstick…

Maybelline have release a collection of creamy nude tone lipsticks which offer full Coverage and naked intensity True, naked pigments for flesh-tone colours. I received the shade Sultry Sand.

I’m not a fan of naked nude toned lipsticks as my pale skin simply can’t pull off the shade. These do have a great pop of colour and the lipstick itself is moisturising and feels great on the lips.

8. GLAMOUR Magazine Subscription for iPad/iPhone

As a bonus within the box sees the inclusion of an annual digital subscription for Glamour Magazine which can be installed onto your Ipad or Iphone and it expires right up until November 2015 which is incredible. I love this extra treat and can’t wait to relax and have a read of this month’s Glamour Magazine.

My Verdict

Latest in Beauty have delivered a superb box once again with the incredible Glamour Beauty Power List Box in collaboration with Alessandra Steinhurr – Beauty Director of Glamour Magazine. I’m a big fan of the Glamour editions and this box has been specially curated to showcase the 7 beauty hero’s that made it into the The Glamour Beauty Power List 2014.

The box features an incredible line up and features well known brands such as Liz Earle, Eyeko, Philip Kingsley, Laura Mercier, James Read, Bourjois and Maybelline. I’ve discovered a great selection of beauty hero’s and it really isn’t surprising that these product’s made it into the Beauty Power List 2014.

The contents within this box is worth around £80.00 which is pretty amazing as the price of the box is only £15.99 and includes p&p. I also liked that Latest in Beauty  included additional discounts and offers for some of the brands which were featured inside the box including a lovely treat in the form of the Glamour Magazine digital subscription.

Latest in Beauty in my opinion deliver the beauty box concept exceptionally well and it’s an amazing way to discover good quality branded products without the heavy price tag. Their collaborations, presentation and carefully selected products are always pleasing and impressive. I can assure you that once you’ve had a taster of the Latest in Beauty boxes you will soon be eagerly awaiting for the next box to be released.

IMG_3386[1]

I’m so excited to welcome My Little Box which has finally landed in the UK after it’s success in it’s home of France. Whilst this isn’t September’s Box I was kindly sent one of their previous boxes to share with my readers to give you a taster of what you could discover with this Parisian box. I can assure you My Little Box offers something very different compared to the other boxes and if their previous boxes are anything to go by you will certainly not be disappointed.

My Little Box is a hand-picked and beautifully designed box of beauty, fashion and lifestyle surprises. With fashion accessories, beauty products and other goodies created exclusively for you and based around a different theme every month, each box promises to delight their subscribers. They also produce their in house beauty products known as My Little Beauty.

The box I received was July’s Edition which was My Sunshine Box. This box is themed for the Summer month of July and contains an informative magazine, a sunglasses case which is simply adorable, the cutest head band and a charming drawstring bag containing three beauty products – Kerastase Cristalliste Shampoo, My little Beauty Mascara and Absolution L’Eau Soir et Matin which is a make up remover.

As soon as I opened the box it spelt out quality, class and all things chic. The attention to detail is very intricate and delicate from their presentation to the carefully selected products within the box. It’s the perfect Little Box and offers something very magical. It’s uniqueness is definitely a show stopper and their presentation is the prettiest I’ve seen. I am hoping that the UK version of My Little Box delivers the same quality and charm as the successful French box.

Their monthly subscription package starts from £13.95 a month and includes shipping.

You Beauty Discovery Box Review – September 2014

Price of the Box is £6.95 including P&P

No of Products in the Box – 7 items
Total value of contents in the box £28.75
www.youbeautydiscovery.co.uk

The September 2014 You Beauty Discovery Box has arrived and this month they celebrate their 1st Birthday in style with another fantastic menu.

“You Beauty Discovery” is a monthly beauty subscription service. The box consists of 2 selected hair, make-up and beauty products from well-known and new brands and they also include 2-3 bonus samples. Unlike the other subscription boxes you get to choose two products of your choice from a diverse selection menu each month.

This month’s selection menu had a great variety to chose from which made the decision process even harder. You really can’t fault this beauty box as it’s incredibly good value for money. It’s not surprising that on the 3rd September majority of the products had already sold out which is a first since I’ve been subscribed especially in that time frame!

My box included 2 full sized products of my choice, Toni & Guy Volume Plumping whip (Birthday bonus)2 Crabtree and Evelyn tea bags, £25.00 Hello Fresh Gift Card and a You beauty discovery make-up sponge.

To see September’s selection menu please click here

1. Wild About Beauty Nutrilips Colour Lipstick SPF15 – Full Size RRP £15.00

It was only recently that I was introduced to this brand which is owned by Louise Rednapp along with make up artist Kim Jacob and I instantly fell in love with the pretty packaging and the quality.

I received the shade Bobbie which is a nude colour but not a naked nude it’s more of a brown tone. This light weight nourishing lipstick gives a subtle hint of colour and a natural glossy finish. It’s infused with added beneficial ingredients and SPF protection which is super moisturising when applied.

I’m not a fan of nude colours and whilst a lot of people rave about them I am yet to the find the perfect nude shade for my skin tone. This isn’t the nudest of nudes and I quite like the colour which is wearable and perfect for the upcoming Autumn months.

2. Mavala Mavadry Time-Save Fast Drying Nail Finish – Full Size 5ml  RRP £6.75

The Mavala fast drying nail coat definitely stood out for me this month in the selection menu this month mainly because I’m so inpatient when it comes to drying time and being such a fidget I am prone to smudging my nails even before they have dried and there’s nothing more frustrating to find you have smudged a perfect paint job.

This top coat dries in a few seconds and prevents flaking and enhances the nail colour too giving a lovely sheen. The Mavala Mavadry Nail Polish Dryer dries your polish instantaneously. It also reduces chipping and prevents smearing and smudging.

I can’t believe how quick my nails dried with this formula it’s pretty impressive and really brightened up the colour of the varnish.

I will no longer be waving my hands in the air to dry my nails thanks to this incredible formula. This is a revolutionary breakthrough for me and most importantly it’s a time saver and I can get on with chores without worrying about my nails.

3. Tony & Guy Volume Plumping Whip – Full Size 90ml RRP £7.00

This is a Birthday bonus item in this month’s box which all subscribers will receive.

LuLu Kennedy, one of the most influential names on the British fashion scene and the founder of Fashion East has helped TONI & GUY dress up four best selling products including the Glamour Volume Plumping Whip which creates all-day body and bounce from the roots, without flyaways.

This smells really nice and the formula isn’t sticky. You apply a walnut sized amount to towel dried hair before heat styling.

4. Extra Samples within the box:

You Beauty Discovery have been quite generous this month with their extra samples including two tea bag samples from the Crabtree and Evelyn collection, £25 Hello Fresh Gift card and a make up sponge.

My Verdict

You Beauty Discovery celebrate their 1st Birthday in style with another fantastic menu and I’m really happy with my box.  This month’s menu had a great variety to chose from which made the decision process even harder. You really can’t fault this beauty box as it’s incredibly good value for money.

My box this month’s contained 3 full sized products and 4 extra samples.

The value of my box is worth £28.75  which is more than the price of the box itself. This month I’ve discovered the amazing Mavadry top coat which works incredibly well and is such a time saver. I only wished that I was introduced to this sooner.

The magazine contained within the box includes various discount codes for all of the brands which have been featured this month which is great if you want to buy further products.

“You Beauty Discovery” impresses me every month. I always look forward to seeing their menu at the start of the month. Their wide selection of products in their menu has something for everyone and to date I’ve not been disappointed once . This box is a complete steal for £6.95 and worth every penny.

 1. Agave Healing Oil Treatment – Sample Vial 4ml. Full Size 60ml RRP £16.00

Agave Healing Oil is nature’s miracle healing answer for all hair types. It smooths frizz, tames volume, controls curls, and polishes dry, dull-looking hair.

Derived from Mexico’s “Blue Webber” agave plant, Agave’s amino sugars lock moisture inside the hair, building strength, resiliency, and elasticity. These plant sugars also help improve manageability while helping retain vibrancy and lengthening color life.

This oil is infused with natural botanicals such as coconut, vanilla, sunflower, and safflower and smells absolutely divine, you can really pick up the dominating sweet notes of the coconut and vanilla.

I currently have extensions in however these also need some TLC too from the constant heat styling. My hair is naturally frizzy and finding products which work to tame my hair is difficult. This oil transformed my hair and left me with silky smooth locks with a visible healthy shine . Unlike other oils I have tried, this is really light weight and didn’t make my hair look or feel greasy. This amazing oil made my unruly hair behave and in my opinion is a significant breakthrough. I will definitely be purchasing the full size.

2. Benefit It’s Potent! Eye Cream – Sample Size 30g. Full Size RRP £25.50

Sometimes I think Birchbox can read my mind as I’ve been wanting to try this Eye Cream and here it is for me to finally give it a go without buying the full sized.

The Benefit it’s Potent! Eye cream banishes dark circles, smooths fine lines and protects against free radicals and brightens the eye area in one step with it’s light peptide-packed formula.

This is really light weight and when applied feels refreshing on the skin. Whilst the area did look brighter on the first application continual use will definitely give me an indicator whether this works for me or not.

3. Premae Mild Dermabrasion Face and Body Scrub – Sample Size 20ml. Full Size RRP £25.00

Premae is the Worlds 1st Multi-Award winning Allergy UK tested Vegan Natural beauty brand. They make luxury products for women, to reverse: Adult Acne, Dermatitis, Eczema, Psoriasis and signs of Ageing.

This face and body scrub contains Italian olive granules to offer a gentle yet powerful skin polish, removing dead skin cells, black heads, blemishes and trapped dirt. The gentle formula is also suitable for the face too for reducing bacteria build up and eliminating acne and blemishes.

This appears to be perfect for my skin type and as it’s more of an intensive scrub you are advised to only use this 1-2 times a weeks. I can’t wait to try this later on in the week.

4. ModelCo Power Lash Mascara – Sample size 5g. Full Size RRP £24.00

Being a fan of all things lashes I was pleased to see this ModelCo Mascara. Birchbox kindly let their subscribers choose the ModelCo make up items they wanted in their box from a selection of either a choice of two lip products or a mascara.

The Power Lash Mascara is an intensely black, lengthening mascara which is created with a unique formula that gives you the look of gorgeous, full, luxurious lashes with staying power. It claims to give your lashes a little more oomph and a lot more drama.

The applicator brush is the ideal size and fully coated my lashes perfectly without any clumping. This lengthened my lashes  with noticeable results. I’m really impressed with the formula and it certainly delivers on it’s claims.

5. Jane Iredale Just Kissed Lip Plumper  – Sample Size. Full Size RRP £22.00

I was introduced to a Jane Iredale lip product a few months ago and wasn’t overly impressed however was willing to give it another go.

This sample sized lip plumper is extremely cute and came in the shade RiO which is an orange/brown colour an perfect for Autumn/Winter. The Kissable You range delivers a blast of moisture along with some plumping action.

The lip product contains cool mint, ginger and special peptides for visible plumping which lasts.

I swept this on my lips and it’s a lovely sheer colour which is very wearable. Within seconds I could feel the tingling sensation and 30 minutes later I could still feel this working. My lips certainly felt fuller and moisturised.

I’m so happy to have been given another chance to try this brand and will certainly be thinking about purchasing a full sized one.

6. Birchbox Happy Days Photo Clip

There’s a great addition to this month’s box  – an exclusively designed Birchbox  photo clip by Photobox which is available in 5 different colours.

I had lot’s of fun rummaging through old photo albums this weekend to pick my happy memory and the one which stood out for me was my trip to Disney World with my mum when I was around 8 years old. It was truly a magical experience and up until this day I remember it very well. Love the striped trousers Mum, Thanks!

7. Lifestyle Extra – Urban Fruit Smashing Strawberry Snack Packet – 6 packs for £13.20

These are a 100%  fruit snack which are baked and also come in perfect pineapple and magnificent mango.

I received Smashing Strawberry which is my favourite of fruits. I’m looking forward to eating these at my desk tomorrow. A much healthier alternative to chocolate!

My Verdict

I am totally smitten with this month’s Happy Days Birchbox. Whether it be childhood or adulthood memories, past or present this month’s Birchbox has certainly got it covered  and it’s definitely made me reminisce about my most happiest times.

This month’s fun packed box features well known brands and some great new discoveries. I’ve also been introduced to the Agave Healing Oil Treatment which has become my hair’s new best friend and my saviour. Happy hair in my books equals Happy Days thanks to Birchbox

Memebox Superbox #45 Korea’s Most Wanted
Price of the Box is $38.99 including shipping approx £23.77
No of Products in the Box – 6 items
Total value of contents in the box – £96.23
http://us.memebox.com/memebox-global

Memebox #45 Korea’s Most Wanted has teamed up with Memebox Global and Memebox Korea to bring a curated box which is the best of the best in K Beauty and contains everything from skincare to make-up. I purchased this box mainly because I was quite intrigued by the theme and wanted to discover some exceptional Korean products. After all this does state it’s the best of the best!

This box includes 6 full sized products and features the hottest and latest trends from Korea.

1. Shara Shara Tinted Lip Gloss – Full Size 30ml RRP £6.70

Within this floral designed casement contains a Fushia coloured lip gloss which locks in moisture and claims to have a long lasting formula which lasts all day. I’m in love with the design it’s so elegant.

This has a great pop of colour it’s very vibrant and doesn’t feel like a lip gloss at all. This has more of a smoother finish and there was no stickiness when applied.

I love the shade it’s ideal for evenings out.

2. Make up Helper Pact- Full Size RRP £14.00

Makeup Helper’s long-lasting, super-sheer powder compact perfects color to create a smooth, flawless finish. Infused with white flower complex and green tea extracts for the most comfortable wear, it is great for daily use and comes presented in a holograph type design.

This is probably the biggest powder compact I have come across it’s huge compared to others! These come in a wide range of designs and I received the original in the shade Natural Beige which was the perfect match for my skin tone.

This doesn’t give the best coverage however if you’re looking for a natural finish and a base for your make-up this is great. It also has subtle scent of rose green which is quite pleasant.

3. Hope Girl Nail Travel Bling Bling Nail Set  – Full Size RRP £8.53

I was delighted to see the Hope Girl set of nail varnishes having spotted it in a previous box which had sold out.

This set includes an stunning assortment of gold sparkly nail varnishes which can either be used together in 3 steps for more glam look or can be used separately.

The colours are all wearable and do require a couple of coats to show their true colours but I love the gold dominance in this set.

4. Blithe Pattling Water Pack – Full Size 200ml RRP £28.00

I’ve never heard of the pattling water concept and it appears to  have the same principles as a face mask. Instead of applying this straight onto skin as you would a normal mask, you simply pat the liquid onto the skin once diluted with water. Unlike usual face masks which are required to be rinsed off this solution is left on the skin to ensure all the ingredients absorb into your skin.

Out of the three type of water packs I received the Energy Yellow Citrus and Honey and comes in an amazing size of 200ml.

The pattling water pack removes dead skin cells, delivers moisture and balances the skin to revitalise and renew.

I would of preferred the Green Tea edition as this would of been ideal for my skin type.

5. Pure Skin Ice Cooling and Soothing Patch  – Full Size  RRP £11.00

Having missed out on the Cooling Memebox I was pleased to see these patches within the box. Inside the box is 5 patches.

The Pure Skin Cooling patch is a bio cellulose patch for soothing and alleviating skin which has been exposed to the sun. These patches are infused with calming ingredients such lily extracts, menthol, glacier water, tea tree and aloe vera extracts which work to cool and pacify the irritated area.

These useful patches are great for holidays and will definitely come in useful.

6. Pure Skin Lemon Blueberry Rejuvenating Overnight Mask – Full Size 100ml RRP £28.00

I’ve never used an overnight mask but I like the idea of product which is left on the skin whilst asleep as that’s when the skin repairs and rejuvenates.

Enriched with various organic superfoods such as lemon water, blueberry and brocolli extracts the overnight mask works to create a protective and moisturising barrier which locks in moisture and delivers nutrition deep into the skin.

I really like this concept and it appears to be suitable for all skin types too.

My Verdict

Memebox appears to be at the forefront when it comes to delivering innovative beauty products, giving their subscribers a host of new exciting beauty products to discover. I’m really impressed with this box which features a great line up of products and includes 6 full sized products.

The contents within this box is has an incredible value of  £93.23 and the cost of the box including shipping works out to be around £23.77. It’s a small price to pay to discover these hidden gems. There’s no silly little samples in this box!

Memebox have released Edition 2 of this box which is still available on their website.
