Their collection of products ranges from make-up to nail varnish combining their lovely portfolio of colours with science. Their philosophy is to create colours which last and is kind to your skin.

A huge welcome to the So Susan LacquerLove monthly subscription box which is the ultimate box for all you nail varnish enthusiasts and fans.

This box includes 5 full sized items four of which are 4- free nail varnishes and one bonus make up product each month from Jelly Pongpong with So Susan being the sister company. Their monthly edits include lacquer shades especially selected to compliment their theme for the month.

This pastel coloured and elegantly designed box is very So Susan designed and comes in the form of a gift box which is secured by a magnetic fastener.

July’s LacquerLove theme was Ready, Jet Set, Go and comes at the right time of the season where we all start to enjoy the summer sun and plan for a summer holiday either at home or away.

Inside the box was four 4-free nail lacquers and a bonus Jelly Pong-pong Mineral Foundation with SPF 15.

1. So Susan 4-Free Nail Lacquers – Full Size. RRP £6.95 each

The So Susan nail lacquers are highly pigmented and are formulated to be chip-free and to remain intense with shine from the first application. The formula has quick drying time and is enriched with Rosehip fruit oil to moisturise and strengthen your nails and the delicate skin around it.

These nail lacquers they are 4-free which means they contain no DBP (Dibutyl Phthalate), no Toluene, no Formaldehyde and no Formaldehyde resin. A nail varnish which contains no nasties making it the ideal product which is kind to you.

The four shades within this box were Summer Breeze, Sunset, Orange Bellini and Hot Sand (Full sized retailed at £6.95 individually). The perfect collection for those summer days and nights. There’s a shade for every occasion whether you’re taking a stroll on the beach or going out in the evening.

These nail lacquers have a wonderful formula and the colour payoff is pretty good. The brush is good sized and of good quality which in turn gives you a great application. These also have a good sheen when applied and just one coats is enough to show it’s true vibrant colours.

These are definitely shades I will be reaching out for this Summer.

2. Jelly Pong-pong Mineral Foundation with SPF 15 – Full Size RRP £15.00

I love that within this box also includes a make up item.

This talc-free formulation which comes in three different shades gives optimal coverage as well as moisture to your complexion giving you a matte but not cakey result. This extremely silky and sophisticated to the touch is formulated with a pool of different minerals (sodium, magnesium, calcium, potassium and zinc) which are extremely skin compatible.

I received the shade fair which was perfect for my skin tone. I’ve never used a powder foundation so was keen to give this a go.

I used a powder brush to apply and this light weight powder is great for the warmer months as an alternatively to using a cream foundation which can feel heavy. I loved the silky satin finish which looked flawless on the skin.

For someone who has always used a cream foundation I’ve fallen in love with this.

My Verdict

Overall this is an unique fun themed box which concentrates mostly on nails and is the first of it’s kind in the UK subscription market. I love So Susan’s concept of this monthly box it’s certainly one which will ensure you have the latest colour trends in your collection and the box is the perfect size to pop into your suitcase if you’re traveling this Summer. I also like the fact that you receive a bonus make up product too making the discovery not just nails. Alternatively this would also make a lovely gift.

This box is worth £42.80 which is great value for money as the box itself is only £14.95 including P&P. You certainly won’t be in the dark with this box as you will be able to preview the box and all it’s contents prior to it being sent to you however if you don’t fancy the pickings you can simply skip the month giving you complete control and flexibility.

Come rain or shine there’s a colour to suit every occasion delivered straight to your door making it the ultimate box for all you nail varnish enthusiasts and fans.

The July Lip Factory Inc Box has finally made it all the way from the USA. The July box was Lip Factory’s birthday box edition and they definitely know how to celebrate in style. This box is brimmed to the top with all things make-up

The Lip Factory Inc Box is an American subscription beauty box which is all things make-up. Each month their box contains 5 to 7 of your favorite makeup brands. Although the kit may include a full face of makeup products, their focus is on the lips! Their products are chosen each month by their expert team of beauty specialists and makeup artists. You are required to complete a beauty profile to ensure you receive products in accordance with your preferences making it more of a personalised box.

July’s box included 8 full sized products.

1. Beauty Addicts Sweet Lips Gloss x2 – Full Size RRP £10.00 each

Beauty Addicts which is an American brand is a boutique cosmetics line with an effortless elegant approach to makeup that makes beauty simple with a color system designed around the moods and attitudes of the modern woman.

These lip glosses are high shine and hydrate the lips with Vitamin E and Jojoba butter which is the perfect combination for smooth, shiny lips. There’s a hint of vanilla contained within these glosses which is quite subtle.

I received of two generous lip glosses which came in the shades Express Ginger and Motivate Lilac.

The Express Ginger is a delicate peach colour and the Motive Lilac which isn’t lilac at all is a pretty light pink.

The formula of these glosses are not sticky but are super smooth and have a great feel on the lips.

2. Eco-Lips Tinted Lip Balm – Full Size RRP £2.70

This is a sheer tint which moisturises and contains fair trade certified ingredients such as coconut oil, argan oil, cocoa butter and aloe vera.

This lip balm is available in six shades and I received the colour plush red.

When applied this wasn’t the colour I expected instead it was more of copper and orange shade. This is quite minty and feels more like a medicated lip balm. I was quite surprised as this has a great pop of colour and can be built upon to achieve a more vibrant shade.

I’m not a fan of medicated lip balms but for the price it’s great value for money.

3. Palladio Brow Fix – Full Size RRP £3.65

Being a fan of anything to do with the eyes I was excited to see this brow fix pencil to control unruly brows who sometimes have a mind of their own!

This colourless wax pencil will set those hard to tame brows for an all day hold.

This applies matte and doesn’t give any shine when applied. You can also apply this prior to filling in your brows for a longer lasting hold.

I love this pencil it’s such a simple but effective way to achieve perfect brows.

4. Ofra Lip Liner – Full Size RRP £8.00

This lip pencil is a brand new addition to the Ofra range and came in the shade Glacier pink. It’s water resistant properties is created with a synthetic beeswax base for a smooth, soft and long lasting application.

The shade is a lovely angelic pink and I love anything which is pink in the make up world but I just don’t use lip liners which is a shame.

5. Pari Beauty Eye Shadow – Full Size RRP £6.70

Pari Beauty is a Canadian brand which is a new discovery for me.

This is a silky highly pigmented powder which came in a lovely turquoise shade. It’s vibrant shade is truly stunning and applies like a dream. This is shade takes me way out of my comfort zone and I certainly wouldn’t be able to pull this off with my pale complexion.

6. Palladio Shadow and Liner Crayon- Full Size RRP £3.65

This multi-use shadow and eye liner crayon in the shade Silver Belle offers a cooling sensation when applied and comes in various shades.

I’m not keen on the shade I received and will not make any use out of this but this does apply smoothly without tugging or dragging the skin.

7. J Cats Wonder lip Paint – Full Size RRP £3.00

For invincible color and impeccable wear, the Wonder Lip Paint has a blend of endurance and delivers intense pigmentation.

What was you thinking Lip Factory when you packed my box! I received a dark red. I am disappointed in the colour as I don’t wear dark colours and certainly did not put this as a preference on my beauty profile.

On a positive note the colour is very rich and a little drop of this really does go a long way. It’s intensity and pigmentation is really impressive and a great bargain for only £3.00.

My Verdict

Lip Factory’s Birthday edition box is pretty impressive this month mainly based on the fact that it included 8 full sized items. Unfortunately I don’t feel that they paid much attention to my beauty profile when packing this box.

There is a good variety of products and selection of different brands which have been featured in this box. I’m pleased that there is a handful of products that I will be making use out of. I love the brow fix pencil which now has a new home in my make up bag.

The contents within this box is worth £47.70 beating the cost of the box which is around £19.00

Whilst I do like Lip Factory’s concept I am moving more towards the Wantable Box which is also from the US and focuses more on what you want to see in your box. Their in depth beauty profile is spot on.

Beauty Pick of the Month – July 2014

Every month I pick my favourite product which I received in one of my Beauty Subscription boxes. This month despite quite a few contenders my much loved product without no doubt was the Whish Three Wishes Lavender Body Butter sample which I received in my July Birchbox and definitely deserves to be in the limelight this month.

There’s a great story behind this brand. A husband who researched his way to bring you Whish which is an American brand. Their products use amazing ingredients and also have a range of scrubs, body washes, shave foams, body butters and self tanning products – a complete head to toe range. Their product range is also available in other enticing scents too.

The body cream sample I received has a unique triple antioxidant based formula which moisturises, firms and purifies. This fully loaded lotion both softens and soothes the skin while also helping to replenish and firm and came in the scent Lavender. I normally associate Lavender with the older generation and it’s certainly not a scent which I like however this has delightful sweet undertones of organic shea butter and rasberry butter which cancels out most of the Lavender scent making it a much softer and pleasant version.

I fell in love with this cream instantly. It’s nourishing and hydrating properties did wonders on my skin especially after shaving which is when my skin cries out for moisture. The blades on razors really strip your skins natural oils and this body butter has somewhat become my saviour to achieve perfect smooth summer legs.

This new discovery led me along the path to the Birchbox store where I purchased the full sized body butter and whilst there, I noticed the Whish Shave Cream in the same Lavender range so scooped this up too.

Their packaging has a luxurious feel and both products came in robust plastic bottle secured in a cardboard tube. These certainly weren’t your average sized products they were really good sized at 150ml and both came with an airless pump dispenser for the ease of application. Both bottles are transparent which enables you see the amount of product left so you can re-order just in time before any panic kicks in.

This didn’t come in the normal pink box this is the Birthday Box which came wrapped just like a present with a pretty bow. Give the gift of gorgeous for any occasion with Memebox’s Birthday Box! The premium brand i belivyu featured in this box has the highest quality total spa care products and is suitable for all ages. Memebox is a rapidly-growing, leading e-commerce beauty retailer born in Seoul, currently headquartered in San Francisco, California and provide Korean Beauty Boxes.

They offer a huge range of different themed beauty boxes which caters for everyone’s needs and likes and the good news is they ship to the UK and other parts of the world for only $6.99. These are not monthly subscription boxes and are available to buy as one off’s. They sell out very quickly so you do need to be supersonic however if you are already a Memebox customer an email gets sent to you to let you know as and when new boxes are released.

This box included 7 full sized products and consisted of mainly bath and body products.

1. i belivyu Cube Sparkling Lemon Sugar Scrub – Full Size 8g RRP £15.00

Upon opening the box out comes a luxurious glass tube containing 7 cute yellow cubes which visually look like sugar cubes. These cubes are a scrub for the face and body and contains sugar grains filled with vitamins, minerals and baking soda. This is used to eliminate skin waste as well as dead skin cells and clogged pores leaving your skin moisturised and supple. These cubes are pleasantly scented with lemon oil and lemon extracts for maintaining a cleaner, natural glowing complexion.

The tube contained 7 sugar scrub cubes which are good sized. To ensure maximum usage I would probably use half a cube for the face and 1 cube for the body. These can also be used when having a bath – simply pop 4-5 cubes into the water.

This product gives you an all body spa experience and I will certainly be trying these out over the weekend.

2. i belivyu Powder Wash Vitamin Face Cleanser – Full Size 70g RRP £15.00

Another luxurious glass tube containing a refreshing powder-type facial cleanser bursting with vitamins, granol particles and papaine enzymes to thoroughly eliminate all skin residue and impurities. This cleanser includes ingredients such as macadamia and olive oil delivering deep hydration to the skin.

This very generous sized bottle smells wonderful and quite aromatic very similar to the smells you would discover in a spa.

Due to the oils contained in this product I won’t be trying this out but I’m sure someone will be happy to take this off my hands.

3. i belivyu All in One Hair and Body Wash – Full Size 250ml RRP £8.00

This is an all in one hair and body wash which is rich in apricot, carrot, green tea, chamomile, rosemary and gold extracts and smells heavenly in fact it smells good enough to eat!

A gentle wash for a tip to toe bathing spa experience in the comfort of your own home. I love that this comes with a pump dispenser so much better then the squeezy bottles.

4. i belivyu Flower Hand Creams x4 – Full Size 30ml RRP £5.50 each. Total Value £21.95

Lastly inside the box is a generous offering of four good sized hand creams elegantly designed with a vibrant flower on each. The hand creams came in rose, sunflower, safflower and Lavender.

These hand creams are enriched with vitamin E, shea butter, argan oil, organic plant extracts and four different kinds of flower extracts.

Being a fan of rose scented products I opened the red flower hand cream. This is pleasantly scented with rose extract and is a light weight cream leaving no greasy residue on the skin. The formula itself is moisturising and is the ideal size for the handbag or keeping in the office.

My Verdict

Another fantastic Memebox and I’m impressed with everything from their packaging to the contents in the box! A box full of indulgent i belivyu products for the ultimate tip to toe spa experience at home making it the perfect gift for any occasion. This box shout’s out colour and vibrance as soon as you open the box.

I love that they only featured I belivyu in this box, it definitely gives you a good taster for the brand.

The box included 7 full sized products which appear to be on the higher end scale of the Korean beauty market and consisted of mainly bath and body products. All of the products were very good sized and will no doubt take a few months to get through.

This is the ideal box for a gift as all the products featured are diverse and suited for all.

The box came well packaged in a robust padded envelope and I can confirm that no custom charges were incurred.

What makes Memebox very different is the variety and choice of beauty boxes which they offer their customers as a one off purchase. They release a huge amount of boxes throughout the year and will simply leave you spoilt for choice. They don’t release any spoilers prior to shipping so it’s a complete surprise when you receive it.

The information about the products and how to apply them is in English on a card enclosed inside of the box so you certainly wont be lost in translation.

This box has enabled me to discover Korean beauty products which are not available here in the UK which does make the reviewing process more interesting.

The contents within this box is worth £60.00 and the cost of the box including shipping works out to be around £21.00. It’s a small price to pay to discover these hidden gems. No silly little samples in this box!

The July Wantable Beauty Box has finally made it all the way from the USA and was kindly gifted to me by Wantable. I can confirm that I did not incur any custom charges on this box.

This was the last beauty box on my wishlist and it certainly was worth waiting for. This box truly has a special place in my beauty box collection and you will see why once you read on.

Wantable provide their customers with hand picked, curated and boutique makeup in a monthly subscription box at $50 a month which works out to be around £30.00 this includes shipping and taxes. All their products are full sized too. You can cancel, return, or skip at anytime!

There’s something very special about Wantable – They create unique customer profiles by asking customers a series of product and personality questions. They then use this data to introduce customers to assortments of products perfectly suited to their personal taste. If’s there’s a certain make up item or shade you don’t like they simply won’t send it to you.

As well as beauty boxes they also do an intimates box and an accessories box.

Judging by their previous boxes I have seen fab products in this box and all of them have been full-sized. The appeal factor for me was the fact that it’s mainly make up related items only. I also love discovering products from other countries it makes me feel that I am not missing out on anything!

July’s box included 4 full sized products and I can confirm that the items I received was spot on in conjunction with the beauty profile which I completed this includes the products to the colours I received and that in itself is impressive.

1. Ofra Pressed Powder Blush in Cameleon – Full Size RRP £10.00

I was recently introduced to this brand in July’s Love Me Beauty Box and was pleasantly surprised with their eyeshadow.

This is a pressed powder blush which came in the shade Cameleon and is a pretty peach shade and has a great pigmented colour when applied. This can be applied wet or dry and can be used subtly during the day and more vibrantly at night.

This also has a secret mirror underneath the actual blush which is great for on the go touch-ups.

I love the shade of this blush. Certainly a product I will be keeping in my make up bag.

2. Mirabella Lipstick in shade Fever – Full Size RRP £14.00

A brand I’m not familiar with but I have seen Mirabella feature in a few American beauty boxes.

This came in the shade Fever which is a dashing and vibrant red. I don’t own that many red lipsticks so was pleased to see this inside the box.

The lipstick itself glided on smoothly and gave the most wonderful rich colour on my lips. This felt hydrating and moisturising on my lips and didn’t feel dry at all. This lipstick has all of the properties which a lip product should deliver in terms of it’s colour, the finish and it’s staying power.

3. Tarina Tarantino Fleur De Lash Mascara – Full Size RRP £12.00

New brand alert and not one that I have heard of.

Tarina Tarantino is an American costume jewelry and accessory designer, based in Los Angeles, California. Known for her flamboyant pink hair, she has been described as having “a pretty cult-like following in LA”. She also has a make-up line which is popular with the likes of celebrities and make up lovers alike.

Her make-up packaging is elegantly designed just like her jewelery and really does stand out giving you a feel of a luxurious high end brand.

This mascara promises to lengthen and volumise your lashes to give you traffic stopping lashes! Now that alone is a big statement!

The mascara itself is faceted just a like a jewel in a gunmetal tube making it quite unique in appearance.

The applicator brush was the ideal size and fully coated my lashes and the results were pretty amazing. This lengthened and made my lashes thicker with noticeable results and has certainly put some of my more expensive mascara’s to shame. Looks like I will be re-arranging my make-up bag this weekend. In with the new and out with old!

4. Vincent Longo Lipstain with SPF15 – Full Size RRP £15.00

Another lipsick! I am really getting spoilt. Another new brand for me.

Vincent Longo Cosmetics has been a beauty and fashion insider’s make-up brand of choice. Known for their luxurious, high performance formulas and trend setting color palettes, the brand has developed a cult like following among stylish, sexy, self – confident women around the world. A-list actors and actresses, supermodels, professional make-up artists, film and television directors, beauty and fashion editors – those who utilize make-up on the job as well as for personal enhancement – share a special appreciation for how well our products work on the fashion runway, on-camera and in real life.

I received the shade Fleur De Flirt which is a nude shade with a subtle hint of brown.

This is Vincent Longo’s award winning Lipstain with SPF 15 which delicately tints the lips with a glossy coat of sheer color. The formula contains Aloe Vera and Vitamin E to soften and nourishes the lip tissue and has a hint of a vanilla scent.

This felt light weight whilst on which is ideal for the hot summer days which we are having.

My Verdict

This was my first Wantable Beauty Box and I am really impressed and delighted with the contents. A box containing full sized make-up products all chosen to suit my needs and likes.

Whilst the price of this box may appear to be a bit steep it’s a small price to pay to discover these great brands which are renowned in the US and are all full sized products. No silly sized samples in this box!

I loved every single product I received and my box definitely mirrored what I would of personally selected.

If you’re a make-up lover and want to discover good quality and high end American brands this is the box for you. This box definitely gives you a different experience compared to any other beauty box on the market in my opinion mainly because I know that my box each month will be tailored and I will never receive an eyeshadow or an orange lipstick!
