Beauty Pick of the Month – June 2014

image

Every month I pick my favourite product which I received from one of my Beauty Subscription boxes.

This month my favourite without no doubt was the iconic Beautyblender which I received in my Birchbox and definitely deserves to be in the spotlight this month. This literally was a savior for me and my MAC foundation which nearly got disposed of until discovering this unique and effective tool.

I currently own a Beautyblender however it’s seen better days so welcomed this new one.  A few months ago I was having trouble applying a high coverage MAC foundation which looked wonderful and easy to apply when tried in the MAC store however it was a different story when I got home. I tried various brushes and sponges and it looked so cakey every time.  Eventually I gave up and it became a dormant product which just sat on the shelf. Then came  along the Beauty Blender a sponge created without edges in order to eliminate visible lines and streaks. It’s unique shape has so many uses. I really can’t recommend it enough. It leaves my foundation looking flawless and smooth unlike any other beauty tool.

I use the pointed side for hard-to-reach spots like around the nose, mouth, and under the eyes and the rounded base for foundation on the larger areas of my face such as my forehead, cheeks and chin. You can also use the pointed side to apply concealer too which I usually do.

This also came with a soap cleanser. This cleanser is a travel friendly alternative to the original liquid blender cleanser and provides the same cleansing results and soothing lavender fragrance.

This is a must-have item in everyone’s make up bag. You will never revert back to brushes and sponges after using this product. This has certainly become one of my staple products which I simply can’t live without.

This can be purchased from the Birchbox website here and the prices range from £16.00 onwards for the Beautyblender.

You can also earn reward points on all of your purchases at the Birchbox shop and redeem these points on any of their products online.

Price of the Box is £12.00 Plus £2.95 P&P
No. of Products in the Box – 5
Total value of contents in the box £44.50
www.souksouk.co.uk

My June 2014 SoukSouk Little Green Beauty Box has arrived and I was looking forward to seeing what this month had in store judging by last month my expectations were high! As soon as I opened the box it looked kind of special. All new brands this month too and a little bit of magic!

“SoukSouk” are a green beauty box company with a mission to help their customers to greenify their beauty regimes, one beauty box at a time! They have various subscription packages and also do a bespoke beauty box and a limited edition box. They really do have something for everyone’s likes and needs. The Box also includes a magazine which has lots of useful articles and facts.

“Scouting out the best, the new, the small and the niche in natural and organic beauty”

The box included 4 good sized samples and 1 full sized product. The box mainly consisted of  Skincare, body and hair products this month.

1.   MEL Mellis Organic Neroli Hydrolate Mist Tonic – Travel Size 10ml £5.00 RRP £15.00 for 30ml

Mel Millis is a British brand who works in harmony with nature and it’s science to create the most effective skincare containing the purest, freshest, nutrient rich ingredients, painstakingly selected for their individual qualities and exceptional proven benefits that deliver effective, long last results.

This is an Organic Neroli Mist tonic and is a pure hydrolate  which is extracted during the distillation process of this essential oil. Along With The Rose, Neroli Is One Of The Hydrolates Originating In The 10th Century.  Neroli Has Both A Rejuvenating And Regenerative Effect On The Skin. It promotes the generation of new cells, stimulating those already present and protects the Epidermis from extrinsic factors too.
This can be used on all skin types from sensitive to oily which is great and is used after the cleansing process to aid the rebalancing of the PH levels in our skin. This tonic helps flush toxins out removing impurities which in turn keeps the skin feeling hydrated, plump and smooth. This can also be spritzed throughout the day for a quick refresh.
Sounds wonderful doesn’t it. The scent is quite pleasant too. Defiantly one for the handbag especially now the weather is slowly warming up.
There is something very magical about the packaging this came in…There are wild flower seeds contained in the box material. You simply tear up and plant into a pot! Such a lovely concept.

2.    MEL Mellis Organic Phytonutri Neroli & Baobab Re-energising Face oil –  Travel Size 10ml £7.00 RRP £35.00 for 50ml

Another product from the same brand above.

This is face oil for mature, lack lustre skin. Containing a highly effective combination of pumpkin, baobab and rosehip Oils, infused with the precious oils of Neroli and immortelle, Along with seabuckthorn CO2 plant extract, with Its powerful concentration of phytonutrients. The Proven Regenerative Properties of the Oils strengthen cells by stimulating the circulation of the Lymphatic fluid which reducess puffiness and promotes Collagen production.

This is for mature skin and I don’t think my skin is quite there just yet!

A good product but not one for me I’m afraid.

3.    Yours Truly Organics Fix Me Repairing Serum – Full Size 30ml  RRP £28.00

A completely new brand for me again – Oh I do love you SoukSouk! This is a british brand.

This is a repairing serum which smooths, repairs and tightens your skin with an oat kernel enriched serum. Reduces inflammation caused by blemishes with sesame seed extract and saw palmetto.

I use to be quite sceptical about face oils until I recently got introduced to one specifically for combination/oily skin from a brand in a previous SoukSouk box mainly because of the oily texture however my perception has some what changed recently.

I spot that this can be used for blemishes – a winner for me and this full size bottle will last for ages.

If you want to try out their products they do a sample set for £5.00 which consists of:

Take it away! Gel Cleanser 5ml
Balancing Toner 5ml
Fix Me! Repairing serum 5ml
Face Base Face Balm 5ml

A great little starter kit and is available here

4.     FoM Antioxidant Facial Mask – Sample Size 5g. Full Size 50g RRP £18.00

FoM stands for Freshness of the Morning. They provide luxurious, natural, non toxic, active and rejuvenating skincare products. Their range of products is a result of many years of research and development bringing you the most effective natural skincare. This is also a British Brand.

This is a 100% Natural  Detoxifying and Toning mask that also provides a gentle exfoliation and contains a pure herbal blend for a clearer, younger and brighter complexion visible after just first application.

The deep detoxifying and exfoliating formula clarifies and absorbs impurities; reducing pore size to reveal smooth, bright, glowing skin. Suitable for Normal, Combination and Oily Skin/Acne prone skin. This mask is in a powder form and therefore you just need to add water which is great for less wastage.

This sounds great and the sample size will give me a few applications. Will definitely give this a go over the weekend.

5.  FoM Revitalising Hair Serum – Sample Size 10ml  RRP £4.50

This highly concentrated serum contains jojoba, buritti, manketti and passionflower oils to treat and regenerate the hair. You simple warm two drops in your hands and massage into the ends of damp hair or alternatively this can be massaged into the scalp for a more deep moisturing treatment.

This smells divine and I will be keeping this for when my hair extension finally come out at the end of this month. My hair definitely deserves some extra loving.

My Verdict

Another great box from SoukSouk and I am very happy and content with the products provided this month. I thoroughly enjoyed reviewing all of the products but most of all I enjoyed discovering these new brands which were all British Brands. Their magazine was also a good read and very informative as per usual. I certainly know what I will be spritzing on my skin this summer! Thank you SoukSouk for the fact sheet!

The box included 4 good sized samples and 1 full sized product. The box mainly consisted of  Skincare, body and hair products this month. I have certainly made some new discoveries and welcomed the brands chosen however I would of liked to have seen more of a mix in the products maybe some makeup and bath products.

This is slightly more expensive than the other  boxes (only by another pound or so) but it is totally worth spending the extra. The quality and selection of the products are great also. You can certainly see that alot of thought goes into their product selections each month.

Overall, this is a great box this month for all you skincare lovers and if you want to discover natural and organic brands this is the box for you.

The contents within this month’s box is worth an amazing £44.50 and beats the price of the box.

I’m looking forward to July’s Box.

GlossyBox Review – June 2014

image

Price of the Box is £10.00 Plus £3.25 P&P
No. of Products in the Box – 5 items
Total value of contents in the box is £48.71
www.glossybox.co.uk

The June 2014 GlossyBox has arrived and I think most subscribers were eagerly waiting to find out what goodies were in store this month.  GlossyBox released a couple of cheeky spoilers before dispatch day and promised that 3 out of the 5 products in the box will be full sized with a minimum value of £45.00

This month GlossyBox are embracing the great British summer. They have curated their June Box to help you update your summer beauty routine in one easy step.

“GlossyBox” is a  monthly beauty subscription service. The box consists of  4-5 selected hair, make-up , body and nail products from well-known brands and new brands.

This month’s box included 4 full sized products and 1 sample  sized set . A good mix of products this month.

Not all subscribers got the same as me as the products do vary. To see what was on offer please click here

1.     Teez Beautiful Eyes Flat Stiff Brush  – Full Size RRP 19 £15.21

This is probably the first item in the box which stood out straight away. It’s colourful packaging is so vibrant and pretty.

I have used Teeez products before and do like their make up range . This brush has quite a nice texture to it and whilst I do not use eye shadow it can also be used to apply eye cream or concealer.

The handle also has a vibrant design – you will never lose it within your make up brushes!

2.     Nail Girls 3 in 1 Base/Top Coat and Strengthener – Full Size RRP £13.50

I received a nail varnish from Nail Girls in a previous box last month so welcomed this 3 in 1 clear varnish which is multi purpose. This has a lovely shine and has just saved me from buying a new top coat!

The brand has been set up by two sisters. Their nail polish is chemical-free, which is great for mothers who are breastfeeding and women who are pregnant. Nailgirls are also British company.

3.     So Susan Concealer Quad – Full Size RRP £17.00

So Susan  launched  its new Concealer Quad in May this year. The brand uses wrinkle relief technology to offer anti-ageing qualities in its cosmetics. The new Concealer Quad contains four shades to cover imperfections and customisable colours to match all skin tones. It can be used to cover dark shades, blemishes and minor imperfections and is formulated with virgin Marula oil.

I’ve never tried this brand but I love the packaging it’s so girly and chic.

The pigmentation of this product isn’t the best however a good result can be achieved by building up the colour. The concealer isn’t so heavy either and therefore a great alternative for warmer climates.  I love that this product is diverse.

The texture of this product is quite dry however I have oily skin so wasn’t that much of an issue for me.

4.    Roger & Gallet Replenishing Body Lotion, Shower Cream and Perfume Vial in Fleur de Figuier –  Sample Sized

I have never heard of this brand but it sounds absolutely amazing and judging by the scent its divine. I’m already won over!

Here’s a history lesson for you all… The great adventure of Roger & Gallet started in 1695. Jean-Paul Feminis, who came from Italy and settled in Cologne, claimed to have been given the secret of a unique formula for water with amazing healing properties known as Aqua Mirabilis (Eau Admirable). In 1806, Jean-Marie Farina, the heir to the formula for Eau de Cologne, opened a perfumery business in rue Saint-Honore, Paris. In 1862 the heirs to Maison Farina, Armand Roger and Charles Gallet, formed a partnership which sealed the company’s future. Research and creativity were their keywords. They were to modernize the perfumery universe with shapes and volumes, with olfactive innovations and creation of perfumes.

The scent of these products has floral and sweet tones which is definitely my kind of scent. A great sample which I’m happy to have been introduced to.

5.  Schwarzkopt got2b Rise n Shine SouffleFull Size 100ml RRP £3.00

Schwarzkopf got2b Rise ‘n Shine souffle gives your hair textured volume and silky shine and you apply this to dry hair. For more of a volume boost this can be applied to the roots too.

I love that this looks like a souffle visually it smells great too.

I’ve not tried this yet but I like the fact that this is a weightless product.

My Verdict

I’m quite impressed with my GlossyBox this month its a big improvement compared to the last couple of months. The Glossy magazine was also a good read as per usual.

This month’s box included 4 full sized products and 1 sample  sized set which is pretty amazing. The box mainly consisted of  Body, make up, hair and nail products this month. Definitely a good mix of products.  I was hoping for the perfume but none the less GlossyBox have definitely delivered this month. I certainly wasn’t disappointed.

The contents within this month’s box is worth an amazing £48.71 which is great value for money.  Unfortunately I didn’t receive my product card this month so have researched the RRP prices myself.

There’s only one product this month that I wont make use out of so this month was a great box for me.

GlossyBox can be hit and miss sometimes and may not cater for everyone’s likes and needs each month however this is the risk when you cannot choose your own products. However I also understand that it’s hard to please everyone.  I do love coming home to my GlossyBox for the surprise aspect it’s like having a birthday present to unwrap every month!

I hope this is a new step in direction for GlossyBox and fingers crossed they continue to deliver these standard of boxes. I know most subscribers from my social media networks were very happy with their boxes this month.

Subscribers don’t forget to update your beauty profiles if any of your preferences have changed.

Love Me Beauty Box Review – June 2014

Price of the Box is £10.00 Plus £2.95 P&P
Menu 3

No. of Products in the Box – 5 and £10.00 gift voucher for a Flavourly Box
Total value of contents in the box £18.99
www.lovemebeauty.com

“Love Me Beauty” is a Beauty subscription service like the other boxes however you get to choose the products you want from a choice of 3 menu’s each month. Each menu has a slightly different set of  items to complement the diverse needs of their subscribers.

This month I opted for Menu 3

To see what was available this month please click here.

My June 2014 Love Me Beauty box included 4 full sized products and 1 sample. This month’s box was all things beauty to my delight. This was the only menu which appealed to me as the other two included an eyeshadow and a brow pallette.

1.    Beauty UK Define-FX Mascara – Full Size RRP £2.99

Beauty UK is born and bred in the UK (hence the name) and was formed five years ago as a family run business and provide their customers with affordable cosmetics designed to fire the creative spirit.

This mascara claims to create individual, high profile lashes by adding both length and volume. This appears to be a new product within their range.

Upon application the brush is a rubber wand and whilst this did separate the lashes really well I found that I had to brush my lashes quite a few times with the wand to see a result and even then the results were not great. The formula does not appear to be thick hence the need to re-apply to coat the lashes.

2.    NYX Cosmetics Nail Varnish in Milk Chocolate –  Full Size RRP £3.00

My nail varnish collection is growing on a daily basis I seem to receive one or two every month.

The colour I received was Milk Chocolate. This should of been called chocolate orange. A hideous colour which I certainly won’t be using. Whilst Love Me Beauty did state colours may vary they really should list the other colours you may receive.

3.    Model Co Lip Couture Lipstick in Dust shade – Full Size RRP £12.00

I do like Model Co products and was hoping that this lipstick made up for the mascara and nail varnish disappointment.

The lipstick shade consists of subtle brown and orange tones and felt hydrating on my lips and comes in a satin finish. It also has a little mirror on the side for easier application on the go! I liked this lipstick and will certainly be making use of this.

4.   Urban Veda Purifying Exfoilating Facial Polish–  Sample Size 20ml. Full Size 125ml RRP £8.99

For those of you who know me I am a big fan of the Urban Veda Purifying range and there’s no getting away from them this month as they have featured in quite a few of the beauty boxes this month!

I have all of their skincare products and I really cannot recommend them enough – they really do hold a special place in my heart. Their products really agree with my skin leaving it blemish free and less oily.

This exfoiliator is naturally formulated for a deep cleanse, their revitalising scrub contains natural Pumice to exfoliate, cold-pressed Neem oil and refreshing essential oils to remove impurities and treat blackheads. Antioxidant-rich botanicals work in synergy with naturally astringent herbals and collagen-boosting extracts to reduce excess sebum, tighten pores and leave skin hydrated. I use this a few times a week. It’s quite gritty and certainly not harsh which in turn leave my skin soft and clean. A product which has all of the properties you would want from an exfoliator.

This product also was the winner of the Natural Health 2014 beauty awards.

Although I already have this product it’s always nice to have a sample size for travelling or weekends away.

5. Montagne Jeunesse Dead Sea Mud Mask – Full Size Sachet RRP £1.00

I’ve only tried a few of these in the past and they are good masks and great value for money however I have not tried the peel off range.

This is a deep cleansing mask and contains black laver seaweed and crushed sea buckthorn berries.

I will certainly be trying this during the week.

6. Flavourly £10.00 Gift Voucher

This is the lifestyle extra this month. Flavourly is the easiest way for you to discover new and exciting fine foods, snacks and delicious craft beer at an affordable price; look at it like a little bit of convenient luxury delivered to you monthly!

You can use the promotional code against a one off gift box instead of subscribing to their box which is great.  The only down side is they do not have a selection of different boxes and therefore more than likely you may end up with items you may not use. However judging by their previous boxes I am tempted!

My Verdict

Whilst Love Me Beauty delivered on the beauty aspect this month I’m not convinced that this box was good as the others I have previously received from them. Nothing really wowed me this month and feel that this was a pretty average box. Again this month there were many people unhappy with the products on offer and I really am not surprised especially when you look at what the other beauty boxes have delivered and for the same same subscription price range.

I am happy to see that Love Me Beauty have got back on the beauty band wagon again however I feel that they need to up their game to even stand a chance with the other boxes.

On a positive note 4 items out of the 5 were full sized which is great

The value of this box is £18.99 beating the actual cost of the box.

The items this month were not up to par for me this month and more than likely only 3 of the products will get used. Whilst I like Love Me Beauty’s concept around selecting your own menu, the quality of their sign up’s seem to be lacking and most of the brands are low end.  They appear to have lost their sense in direction as previously their boxes contained a mixture of low to high end brands.

The lovely Helen at Loves and Loathes pointed me to a comment on their Facebook page where a subscriber had raised her disappointment with Love Me Beauty and it appears from the thread that they will be looking at introducing a premium package for those who are willing to pay a higher rate to trial premium products.  I certainly would not pay any extra when there are other beauty boxes on the market which deliver high end brands within the same subscription price range .

I think July’s box will be the finally decider for me on whether I continue my subscription.

Price of the Box is £10.00 Plus £2.95 P&P
No of Products in the Box – 6 items
Total value of contents in the box – £30.00+
www.birchbox.co.uk

Finally my June 2014 Birchbox arrived and I was really hoping to receive some of the fab items which were given to some bloggers in their PR samples this month. The anticipated wait is now over! Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better BirchBox deliver another fantastic box.

So who would of thought another great Birchbox this month with some iconic brands this month – They certainly know the concept of a beauty box and have been delivering on this front the last few months.

Birchbox’s theme this month is  the World Cup, bringing their top beauty players from around the globe  in one little beauty box. A fab theme this month. I’m not a fan of football however I love the world cup.

The item which most subscribers were probably hoping for is the Beautyblender and I am pleased that so far majority of the boxes I have seen has included this item however I have also seen a few poor boxes.

“Birchbox” is a  monthly beauty subscription service. The box consists of  4-5 selected hair, make-up and beauty products from well-known brands and new brands.

If you’re thinking of subscribing there is an offer at the end of my post.

This month’s box included 2 full sized products, 3  sample  sized products and a lifestyle extra bonus item .  The box mainly consisted of  body, Skincare, make up and beauty products this month. Definitely a good mix of products and I received all the products I was hoping for this month from the spoiler which was released.

With Birchbox not everyone gets the same products its quite varied.  To see the range of this months products please click here

1.    Beauty Blender and Blender Cleanser  Full Size RRP £16.00

This is a boxed travel set of one beauty blender’s classic. This set also contains a solid cleanser.

I currently own a Beautyblender however it’s seen better days so welcomed this new one.  I use to apply my foundation with brushes and triangular sponges and always wondered why my foundation looked cakey then came  along the Beauty Blender a sponge created without edges in order to eliminate visible lines and streaks. It’s unique shape has so many uses.

I use the pointed side for hard-to-reach spots like around the nose and mouth, and under the eyes and the  round base for foundation on the larger areas of my face such as your forehead, cheeks and chin. You can also use the pointed side for apply concealer which I usually do.

This cleanser is a travel friendly alternative to the original liquid blender cleanser and provides the same cleansing results and soothing lavender fragrance.

I really can’t recommend this enough it leaves my foundation looking flawless and smooth unlike any other beauty tool.

2.   Yves Rocher Sheer Botanical Lipstick in shade Marron Glace  – Full Size  Introductory Price is £9.60 RRP £18.00

This lipstick is a new line by Yves Rocher. This sheer botanical lipstick is made from 100% cherry oil. Cherry oil has the power to shine and refract light and it’s ultra sensual texture easily blends in to enhance the lips with a glossy colour. The intensity can be changed as desired and is available in 12 shades.

I received the shade Marron Glace which is a sheer brown with a pink tone. A lovely colour and this smells absolutely divine.

3.     Caudalie Divine Oil – Sample Size 15ml. Full Size 100ml RRP £27.00

This is a nourishing multi-purpose miracle oil, Caudalie Divine Oil is an indulgent treat for dry skin, hair and nails. The unique blend of natural oils, gentle fragrances and softening shea butter can also be used to restore the skin in the bath or during a massage.

Wow this oil carries a beautiful floral fragrance and is pleasantly scented. I love that this is a multi-purpose oil.

The only flaw is the wide opening of the bottle. I would of liked to have seen a better applicator as way too much product comes out in one go!

4.     OPI Nail Varnish in shade AmazON…AmazOFF (Brazilian Collection)  – Sample Size 3.75ml. Full Size £11.00

I love OPI nail varnish so was happy to see this in my box.

The colour I received was AmazON…AmazOFF which is the equivalent of a teal color. This colour is from OPI’s Brazilian Collection range.

Will definitely try this over the weekend – I love the colour.

5. Coola Classic Face Sunscreen – Sample Size 7ml Full Size 50ml RRP £26.00

This sunscreen is specifically for your face and does not leave any white residue! It’s unscented and is crafted with 70% organic non-active ingredients, it also contains antioxidants to fight ageing and redness.

SPF really does not agree with my oily skin and therefore I will probably stay clear of this however a great concept.

6. BirchBox Brazil Inspired Keyring – Lifestyle Extra

A cute little flip-flop keyring exclusively designed by Birchbox for their subscribers.

I’m a sucker for cute little things and I absolutely love this and this finishes off the theme very nicely.

My Verdict

Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better Birchbox deliver another fantastic box.

Birchbox’s theme this month is the World Cup, bringing their top beauty players from around the globe  in one little beauty box. A fab theme this month and the addition of the Brazil inspired key ring and the Brazil coloured bag really finishes off the theme.

The item which most subscribers were probably hoping for is the Beautyblender and I am pleased that so far majority of the boxes I have seen has included this item however I have also seen a few poor boxes which didn’t contain the beauty blender.

I am really impressed with this month’s Birchbox and it appears that their standard has some what improved since February this year.

There’s only one product this month that I wont make use out of so this month was a great box for me.

The contents within this month’s box is worth roughly around £30.00+. Great value for money.

So who would of thought another great BirchBox this month with some iconic brands this month – They certainly know the concept of a beauty box and have been delivering on this front the last few months.

Price of the Box is £12.50 including P&P
No. of Products in the Box – 2 Full Size Products and 4 samples
Total value of contents in the box – Approx £25.00
http://www.lovelulabeautybox.com

My Love Lula Beauty Box arrived and I couldn’t wait to discover this months box.

Upon opening my box I wasn’t overly excited compared to last month’s box however now I have reviewed the products I am quite liking it.

My box included 2 full sized products and 4 samples . The box  consisted of  Skincare and Body Products this month.

1.    Suki Exfoiliate Foaming Cleanser –  Full Size 30ml RRP £10.00

This is refreshing and reinvigorating Exfoliate Foaming cleanser  and contains sugar crystals, powdered rice & 100% pure foamers combined to eliminate blemishes and impurities, leaving your complexion radiant and youthful-looking.

This is suitable for all skin types, this hydroxy cleanser kickstarts your skin’s natural collagen production process to give you plump and firm skin, whilst lemongrass purifies your pores to keep your complexion clean and clear. The energising blend of essential oils invigorate your senses, making it the perfect morning pick-me-up.

I normally dread skincare products in the beauty boxes as most of them are not for my skin type however I will certainly be giving this a go. This has great reviews also.

I would probably use this once a week instead of daily more so when my skin is in need of some extra TLC!

2.   Urban Veda Purifying Exfoilating Facial Polish–  Sample Size 20ml. Full Size 125ml RRP £8.99

For those of you who know me I am a big fan of the Urban Veda Purifying range!

3.   MOX Botanicals Bath Milk in Rose Petal – Full Size 70g (Two Sachets) RRP £8.00

I am not familiar with this brand however it appears to be from the US.

Packed with the most luxurious of ingredients, Mox Botanicals contain Organic whole milk and nutrient-rich sea salt combined with various botanicals to provide the ultimate at-home-spa experience. Packed in oversized teabags, you can choose to allow the ingredients to slowly dissolve and infuse into your bath water. Or, you can empty the sachet directly into your water and enjoy the botanical elements floating free in your bath!

These smell amazing and quite luxurious. I can’t wait to try these and think I will go with option 2 – the float free factor!

4. La Claree Gentle Cleansing Milk – Sample Size. Full Size 150ml RRP £19.00

I received the moisturising cream from this brand in a previous box in February and loved it.

This is a cleansing milk concentrated in active plant antioxidants, its texture is creamy, soft and non-greasy. It cleans and removes all traces of makeup and impurities while preserving the fat from the skin. Well hydrated, the skin regains suppleness, comfort and radiance.

I doubt I will use due to my problematic skin.

5.  KAE Beauty Oils – Sample Size ( 2 vials). Full Size 50ml RRP £31.00 – £37.00

This is a french brand which I have never come across.

The first vial sample was Huile de beauté  which is a pure satin protecting oil for face, body and hair. It prevents and reduces the signs of ageing, dehydration and damage caused by exposure to sun, heat, cold, wind, air-conditioning, seawater, chlorine, smoke, pollution and skin irritations. It leaves entire body smooth, soft, and deeply hydrated.

The second vial was Beaute Scintillante. This organic dry oil has a subtle flower fragrance and is a unique concentrate of vitamin E and Omega 6.It nourishes, repairs and softens face, body and hair in a single gesture. It illuminates the tan and gives the skin a golden sheen. Its natural iridescent particles and its satin texture are suitable for all skin and hair types.

I’m not a fan of oil based products and therefore probably won’t use these however may try using as a treatment on the ends of my hair.

My Verdict

Upon opening my box I wasn’t overly excited compared to last month however once I started reviewing the contents I wasn’t too disappointed. The box contained known and new brand samples and definitely made the reviewing process more interesting however I was surprised that the box contained two exfoliators!

My box included 2 full sized products and 4 samples . The box  consisted of  mainly Skincare and Body  Products this month. Personally I would of liked to have seen a better mix of products.

This is in the same price range as the other beauty  boxes and you are getting a completely different experience compared to the others boxes in relation to the products .  All the products in the Love Lula Beauty Boxes have no nasties.

Love Lula also gave a 20% off promotional code to use on their website on any of the brands which were featured in this month’s box which is valid throughout June which is a nice bonus.

Overall, an good box this month  however there’s  a few products which I probably won’t use  however I also understand that It’s hard to please every subscriber!

This month’s box was worth around £25.00.

If you love organic and natural products this is definitely the box for you. I have discovered some wonderful brands thanks to Love Lula.

Lets see what Love Lula brings next month.
