It’s June and we’re in for another fun filled summer themed Roccabox! Not only does this edition focus on handy travel essentials in bite sized form but this month they’ve also swapped out the usual box for a transparent cosmetic pouch instead which will help you stroll through airport security in true style – very clever! I really enjoyed May’s content and this edit is definitely on par which is really promising. As well as covering a good ground on the beauty front, there’s also makeup treat from Boohoo – I didn’t even know they ventured into beauty!

Without further ado here’s what they featured inside their June edition:

Up first and to get us in that summer sprit we have the Tropika Skin Coconut Cleansing Oil (Travel size), a brand that’s completely new on my radar but they are a UK based family run business led by a busy Mum of five. Every product is used by the family, tested on them not animals and their coconuts are sourced from local villages in Malaysia. Described as luxurious daily cleansing oil, it promises to effortlessly melt away makeup and lift impurities, revealing a brighter, healthier looking complexion. It also contains nourishing virgin coconut oil that leaves the skin feeling silky-soft, incredibly clean and comfortable, with no oily residue.

So we have another fake tan product despite one being featured only last month which is fine if you like trying out new ones like me but not so great if you’re not a fake tan user. The Zuii Organic Flora Self-Tan Foam (Sample size) not only benefits from being organic but the lightweight yet hydrating formula gives you enough golden glow to cheat that tan! The only downside is you’ll be lucky to get a full application out of this which is a shame so now to decide which body part to use it on!

While we’re on the subject of tanning, sadly I don’t tan easily and end up looking like a lobster after a few hours in the sun so the Temple Spa Peace Be Still Aftersun (Travel size) is another apt pick for this month’s travel themed edit and will definitely come in handy to rescue my skin! This award winning balm provides hydration for the body, hands & face and also helps to settle sensitive or irritated skin and soothe, cool, and calm the skin after sun exposure.

Beauty boxes are great for keeping you in the loop of what’s trending and introducing you to a host of new brands and products you wouldn’t have come across otherwise…cue the Boohoo Highlighter Drops (Full size RRP £6.00) – I didn’t even know Boohoo launched their very own makeup range! Anyway, this pink highlighter is absolutely gorgeous and you simply apply 1-2 drops to cheekbones for a highlighting effect or it can be also added to foundation, primer or moisturiser for a versatile glow.

Next up we have two additions from one of favourite brands Anatomical so it goes without saying I was really chuffed to see them on board. I only recently discovered their Sud The Lot Of You – Get Lost Grime Body Cleanser (sachet sample) which comes with an exotic scent of mango and papaya and leaves your skin clean, soft and smelling like a dreamy Caribbean island – it really does! It’s made with real fruit extracts and free from DEA’S, sulphates, parabens and SLS’s. Also from Anatomicals, is the Binchotan Charcoal Toothbrush (RRP £4.50), it’s not an exciting addition but it does have innovative technology! Each bristle is blended with Binchotan charcoal that helps give off negative ions, deodorise and remove plaque, prevent bad breath and reduce harmful bacteria growing in the brush and comes presented inside its very own compact case.

Last out of the box and a lovely finishing touch to this month’s collaboration is the Chelsea Prints x Roccabox Cosmetic bag (RRP £10.00) which is good sized, transparent and is perfect for carrying around all your travel essentials and will even pass through airport security!

My Verdict

Roccabox has been really impressing me lately! From the theme, the excellent variety right through to all the new discoveries, they really nailed this month’s travel theme and I love the accompanying cosmetic bag and all the bite sized products too which is so appropriate for this time of the year. My only bug bear is the size of the self-tan, there’s definitely not enough for a full application but I do like the fact that it’s organic. In addition to the above treats you can also expect to see discount codes for some of the brands features within the information card. If you’re interested in a fun monthly subscription with a nice mix of items without breaking the bank then this one might be for you!
