Something which always grabs my attention when wandering around in Topshop are the Skinnydip London phone cases, I always feel the need to just stop and ogle at their pretty creations so I was really excited to learn that they were teaming up with Birchbox this month. My hair faces some tough challenges in winter so I was delighted to see this new discovery from Living Proof, a brand whose products are developed by world-class biotech scientists and beauty experts and have over 45 industry awards to date. Excitedly, the company is co-owned by Jennifer Anniston, a woman who has the most AH-mazing hair!
The Restore Instant Repair Cream is a weightless lotion that promises to correct and treat damaged hair before, during, and after styling by offering ultimate protection against breakage by repairing split ends and preventing new ones. It leaves hair looking soft, smooth, and strong, and reverses damage as if it was never there.
I obviously wanted in on all these amazing benefits as my hair is absolutely parched from heat styling tools so I wasted no time giving this a go over the weekend and magically this really gave my hair a new lease of life! Not only did it make my hair look more healthy but it felt much smoother too. Living Proof is definitely a brand I’m interested in getting to know better!
2. Cowshed Cow Pat Hand Cream – Full Size RRP £8.00
If you’re a regular reader you’ll already know that I love my hand creams so I welcome the Cow Pat Hand Cream by Cowshed to my ever growing collection!
Firstly I love how moisturising this hand cream is, and how soft and smooth my hands feel after using it although it does feel a little oily at first but this soon disappears once it absorbs into the skin. The scent is very fresh and clean, something which I really love.
3. Lord & Berry Silhouette Neutral Lip Liner – Travel Size. Full Size 236ml RRP £9.00
Who else thought this was an eyeliner pencil? I didn’t even know there was such thing as an invisible lip liner until now – it’s rather genius!
The Lord & Berry Silhouette Neutral Lip Liner defines and shapes your lips with a soft and creamy formula enriched with hydrolised wheat proteins that inflate when they come into contact with moisture.
Providing an invisible boundary, this stops lipstick from feathering as well as helping it to stay put and the best bit it will also save you lots of money in the long run as you won’t need multiple coloured lip liners.

Although I try to get the recommended dose of beauty sleep there’s no harm in powering it up a little and this is where the Wake Wonderful Night-Time Facial by REN comes to the rescue!

5. Trilogy Make-Up Be Gone Cleansing Balm – Travel Size. Full Size RRP £19.50
My holy grail of cleansers is a balm type cleanser so I was excited to be introduced to a new brand.
The Trilogy Make-Up Be Gone Cleansing Balm is an end-of-the-day cleansing balm to remove foundation, mascara and lipstick like nothing else, even long-wear and waterproof formulations and contains a host of skin loving ingredients such as mango butter, rosehip oil and coconut oil.
As the name suggests, the formula has a thick consistency that melts and liquefies when it touches your skin just like butter and what I love about these types of balms is that I rarely have to double cleanse unlike a gel type cleanser. I think balm cleansers are so much more luxurious, enjoyable to use and very spa-like, I can’t wait to give this a go.
6. Extra Beauty Bonus – English Laundry Notting Hill Femme de Parfum – Sample Vial
I don’t mind receiving samples of perfumes especially from Birchbox as I’ve discovered some great niche and unique scents which are exclusive only to the Birchbox shop so I know I’m getting something a little more special and this one by English Laundry is no exception, a brand that has very quickly become a favourite for me.
The Notting Hill Femme de Parfum is a fresh classic scent with top notes of bergamot, mandarin, and cassis that open up to aromas of lush jasmine, rose, and cyclamen with hints of both herbal and green notes. When I smelt this, it was love at first whiff with a captivating burst of elegance, and the more I wear this the more I fall in love with it. This is definitely one for the Christmas wishlist!

My Verdict
Covering all areas of beauty I really love what’s inside this month’s box and whilst it’s not the most exciting line up there’s definitely some interesting and practical products on board which will effortlessly weatherproof you against the winter months, all of which are very usable too. The line-up features all new discoveries for me from a wealth of quality brands so it was great to see these inside the box and although there’s only one full sized product, the remainder does exactly what I want it to do, and that’s to provide me with a variety of generous sized samples to determine which one(s) I like best.
As always, their collaboration editions never fail to disappoint with both box designs being equally beautiful and I love that there’s an opportunity to upgrade your box to receive an exclusive Skinnydip London phone case at a discounted price, it really is a stunning case.
