It’s been a while since I last reviewed a Naturisimo Discovery Box and what an edition to be reacquainted with. Say hello to the newly launched Brilliant Body Discovery Box, a complete kit that will effortlessly shed what winter left behind with a tip to toe line up covering a wide array of established clean and green beauty brands in the industry as and some lesser known brands too. As well as the everyday lotions and potions there’s also a good selection of indulgent body treats for that all important pamper time and for only £12.95, it’s definitely an edition you won’t want to miss out on.
For those of you who don’t want to commit to a subscription, Naturisimo offer themed curations throughout the year that you can buy as a one off for only £9.95 and contains a strictly natural and organic beauty line up with the added bonus of being able to see the contents before you purchase. Here’s what you can expect to see inside:
For that all important spring glow prep to wash away what winter left you’ll find the Hydrea Gentle Exfoliating Mitt (RRP £7.50), a gentle, antibacterial bamboo exfoliating glove to leave your skin feeling deeply cleansed and healthy. The sustainable bamboo is luxuriously soft, and can be used on both face and body and with the addition of the Green and Spring Relaxing Shower and Bath Foam (Travel Size 50ml) they make the perfect pairing and is a great choice for the evenings when you need to de-stress and unwind but be warned the soothing fragrance which consists of chamomile, lavender and comfrey will put you to bed!
If you’ve not tried anything from Lola’s Apothecary then I definitely urge you to have a little browse at their collection, their products are so beautiful and they work wonders too. The Sweet Lullaby Bath & Shower Oil (Sample Size 10ml), is an intensely, luxurious bathing oil that can be used in the bath or shower, to relax, invigorate and calm the mind with essences of lavender, ylang ylang, patchouli and vanilla. I’m saving this for a pamper evening but I really can’t wait to slather this on!
To seal in all that buffing and prepping, Naturisimo have also included the Balance Me Rose Otto Body Cream (Travel Size 30ml), a rich smoothing body cream which offers goodness for all skin types and a 10ml sample of the Pai Comfrey and Calendula Calming Body Cream that promises to instantly hydrate your skin with a vegan friendly formula that’s also perfect for sensitive or allergy-prone skin.
Now the weather’s warming up I’ve taken it upon myself to sort the garden out so the addition of the Inlight Foot & Leg Balm (5ml) is definitely a welcomed addition as it revives tired, aching feet with an exquisite 100% organic & natural balm which melts away dry, rough skin. While we’re on the feet and legs subject there’s also a 10ml sample of This Works Perfect Legs Skin Miracle, a very light, caramel tinted leg serum which helps to take the edge off pale skin whilst helping to heal bruises and even out skin tone and sounds like an interesting product from a brand that I already know and love.
Leaving no stone unturned there’s also a 2ml sample of the Jurlique Rose Hand Cream, one of their best selling hand creams! This promises to restore smoothness and leave hands soft and supple with a rich, protective formula.
Last but not is the Dr Bronner Rose Soap Bar (Travel Size) which is already one of my bathroom staples so I’m delighted to have a another as a back-up. Floral and fresh, with a hint of sweetness the Rose Pure-Castile Bar Soap is made with certified fair trade ingredients and organic hemp oil for a soft, smooth lather that won’t dry your skin and is biodegradable-vegan, gentle and versatile for washing the body, face or hair. I tend to use their soaps for washing my make-up brushes and it does such a fab job.
My Verdict
Naturisimo have very cleverly hand picked some key essentials and turned it into a complete collection with spring in mind to renew and revive post winter skin as well as some additional treats for a session of complete indulgence. Focusing on all elements this edition features an assortment of natural, organic and cruelty-free products from a collective of both well known and emerging brands so it’s a great choice for those who want to explore more from the industry at an affordable price. Most of the products for me were all new discoveries and contained a mixture of full sized products alongside some generous sized samples too. This is definitely the best box they’ve curated so far and at a bargain price of only £12.95 I can’t see it sticking around for long.
If you’re looking for a little self-indulgence or an excuse for some “me” time which can be easily be achieved at home then this box is great for that.
