With the hubby is sunning himself in Spain the nearest thing to a beach I’ll be getting this month is my props and this months Glossybox!  The “Life’s a Beach” edition showcases such a fabulous collective of summer essentials whether you’re at home or beach bound and with an incredible five full sized products on board from popular high street brands in addition to a couple of new discoveries too the *July edit contains such a lovely variety of treats plus there’s an exclusive recipe card from Wendy Rowe and combined all of that together you’ve got a complete kit that will help you look (and feel!) gorgeous and refreshed—no matter how hot or rainy is it.

Glossybox is a monthly beauty subscription service. The box consists of 4-5 selected hair, make-up , body and nail products from well-known brands and new brands and includes a mixture of full sized and sample products.

1.  U-Tan’s Tan and Tone Night Creme  – Travel Size 25ml. RRP £12.50

Nothing says “I’ve spent my day at the beach” like gorgeous sunkissed skin, but if you’re trying to avoid the damaging rays of the sun, or just don’t have the time to get outside, you can easily achieve a faux glow with this sunless, skin friendly tanner that works its magic when you’re fast asleep.

Enriched with antioxidants, vitamins C, B5, B6, B9 & K, the anti-ageing nutrient Hyaluronic acid & an all organic tanner- this super moisturising night crème is all you need to give your face that holiday glow. The formula has skin cell regulating and conditioning properties which will help to repair and protect your skin. A gradual tan will develop overnight and this mini can be used on consecutive nights to build up your desired level of tan.

2.  HairOn De-tangle Brush –  RRP £6.99

Unlike typical hairbrushes, ones like these are a lifesaver, especially if your hair gets easily knotted/matted – like me so it was exciting to see this beach bag essential from HairOn, a brand that’s completely new to me.

This ergonomically designed brush promises to gently detangle your locks without snagging and breakage and also works wonders on wet hair. It’s travel-friendly size is ideal for popping into the handbag or accompanying you on your travels.

3.  Blank Canvas Cosmetics Flat Brush – RRP £11.95

One of my favourite items to receive in beauty boxes is makeup tools and this Flat Brush by Blank Canvas has a pretty pink handle which will not fail to stand out within your collection.

The F20 Flat Buffer is made of short, dense synthetic fibres ideal for liquid, cream or powder products. This new unique style of brush was specifically designed with perfection in mind and you simply need to stipple or buff your foundation with the brush for flawless results.

4.  Hawaiian Tropic’s Island Berry Lip Gloss SPF25 – Full Size RRP £6.99

Hawaiian Tropic Lip Gloss – who knew?
Hawaiian Tropic is my go-to sun care brand and I absolutely love their products especially the fragrance which effortlessly transports me to a tropical island so when I saw the Island Berry Lip Gloss I couldn’t wait to slather this on my lips! Providing a 12-hour moisture hit with advanced UVA and UVB protection, the lip gloss also contains Aloe Vera, Cocoa Butter and Vitamins A, C & E enriched formulas.

As expected this smells Ah-mazing! As soon as I applied it I instantly fell in love with the texture and the moisture boost. I must warn you; it tastes as good as it smells and I had to restrain myself from licking it off!  It comes in a very handy tube so you’ll be able to carry this around during the summer to keep your lips juicy and protected.

5.  Soft & Gentle Hair Minimise Anti-Perspirant- Full Size RRP £2.99

This double-duty spray by Soft & Gentle helps to combat unwanted underarm hair using a hair growth minimiser, Keliosoft, a natural plant molecule that reduces the protein that stimulates hair growth, it’s such the ideal essential for the summer months.

I personally have a small stockpile of deodorants on my dressing table, but I think I might have to try this one out as soon as my current roll-on is finished. I’m fortunate enough not to sweat excessively, but if something claims to keep my underarms extra dry, fuzz-free and extra nice smelling, I definitely don’t disapprove of this being included within the line up!

My Verdict

I have to give it to Glossybox this month, their July curation is so on point on all fronts and I think they’ve put together some great summer must-haves universal enough to be enjoyed by everyone and while the tanning product won’t be for everyone I always appreciate a little helping hand to fake that glow! I love that we got a little bit of everything making the line up really well-rounded and the products are practical too meaning you can easily incorporate them into your everyday routine. In terms of the value, this month’s box is a true treat as every single item is full sized with a combined total of £41.42 which is pretty amazing for a box that’s only £13.25.

August Spoiler: In celebration of their 5th Birthday next month, Glossybox are giving all subscribers the chance to choose one of four MUA Eyeshadow Palettes.
