The heat, the sunshine, the longer days, shoes that show off my latest pedicure…everything about the summer time just makes me feel so much more happier and the July So Susan Lip Love Bag is definitely on point and really puts the summer back in the spotlight especially after weeks and weeks of miserable weather we’ve had! With a great selection of lightweight summer must-haves that will effortlessly warm up your natural features while still managing to look natural, I love what they’ve featured this month all of which come presented inside a summer-inspired canvas make up bag.
The So Susan collection ranges from make-up to nail varnish combining their lovely portfolio of colours with science. Their philosophy is to create colours which last, are cruelty free and also much kinder to your skin. As well as the philosophy behind the brand, I love the feminine and pretty designed packaging which always stands out for me. I’ve tried quite a few products from their collection and already have a few firm favourites.

1. Creamsicle in “Acerola” by Trifle Cosmetics – Full Size RRP £17.95
This creamy tinted balm with the goodness of pure Shea Butter promises to melt onto your lips and cheeks for rich hydration and for that pop of dewy, smooth colour. The tube is so adorable and while the bright pink shade looks a little daunting on first glance it transforms into a beautiful soft hue and feels incredibly lightweight on the lips with a non-sticky formula.
2. Moisturizing Soft-Focus Peptide Foundation SPF 15 by So Susan – Full Size RRP £20.95
I think it’s definitely risky including products like foundation inside subscriptions but luckily for me the shade Warm Beige is just about a near match!
This fluid foundation promises to hydrate & even out your complexion without leaving a mask-like effect. Due to the siliconic elastomer content, the creamy formula gives you a soft-focus and evanescent effect, which helps minimize fine lines. Infused with Rosehip Oil & Grapeseed Extract to nourish and assist in the healing of dry skin. Moreover, it’s enriched with SynÒ-Tacks peptide which strengthens the cellular cohesion and elasticity of the skin, thereby giving it a firmer, more toned appearance.
I love the light veil of coverage this foundation provides, it lets the skin breathe and is perfect for those hot sunny days when a full face of make-up is a no no plus it’s got you covered on the SPF front too!
3. Neapolitan Palette by Jelly Pong Pong – Full Size RRP £14.95
Oh my! This Neopolitan Palette by Jelly Pong Pong evokes happy memories of my childhood – I use to love the Neapolitan ice cream!
This limited-edition palette of 3 neutral hues (base, contour & highlight) has very quickly become a favourite of mine, the warm and chic and will complement a wide variety of skins tones plus you can use them alone or together to create a variety of looks . The velvety-smooth shadows are formulated with Gardenia Flower extract & micronized powder for an 8-hour lasting power, and are ultra-pigmented to perform wet or dry. Use them to shade, shadow, line and define your eyes for an irresistibly seductive, strong, alluring look.
4. Blush & Glow by So Susan – Full Size RRP £18.95
This long-wearing, fall-out free blush for a flawless, healthy finish that lasts up to 8 hours. Formulated with multi-chromatic pigments that adjust from soft suede to a natural rose to suit a wide variety of skin tones.
Blush & Glow has such a lovely colour pay off and it blends beautifully into the skin with a very natural finish.
My Verdict
I really adore soft, feminine makeup and sheer washes of colour during the warmer months and this month So Susan have hand picked a great selection that will effortlessly warm up your natural features without that overdone look. While they’ve covered a good area of make up plus some easy-to-wear shades that pretty much everyone will be able to pull off the foundation will without a doubt be hit and miss for some which is such a shame as it’s a lovely addition for this time of the year. As always the bag features all full sized products so it’s incredible value for money and great for those who want to discover more skin friendly and cruelty-free alternatives, all which are enclosed inside a very pretty designed canvas bag. I think this is probably one of my favourite bags so far from So Susan with everything being very usable for me, I’m particularly smitten with the Neapolitan Palette, the neutral shades are perfect all year round.
