This time last year I was so excited when the first very first Roccabox landed on my doorstep and I can’t believe it’s been a year since they launched, doesn’t time fly! To celebrate their 1st birthday this month’s edition is jam packed with not one but 5 sizes and 1 travel size product and excitingly features lots of new things to try, it’s a good one! Unlike previous curations they haven’t teamed up with a blogger this month but instead have focused on a celebratory edition and it really is lovely.

If you’re new to Roccabox then they enlist the help of a beauty blogger to put their favourite picks forward inside each edition which is pretty unique and isn’t something that’s been done before. Here’s what they featured inside their March edition:

Up first and a completely new brand discovery for me is a product from Bilou and it’s their Fizzy Berry Gentle Foam Cream (Full size 150ml RRP £3.99) and I’m so glad I researched this particular product as it isn’t a shower gel as I initially thought (I blame the packaging and the foam formula for that!). I haven’t come across anything like this before and I actually really love the light and airy formula and although I didn’t have high hopes that this would hydrate my skin it really does do a good job and absorbs into the skin effortlessly. I can see this being a firm favourite in the summer months plus how adorable is that packaging. By the way it smells amazing too just like summer berries!

On the skin care front we have the Dr Lipp Original Nipple Balm (Sample size 4ml), an award winning multi-purpose balm that can be used as a lip balm, lip gloss, to soothe sunburn and itchy skin, cuticle care and to tame eyebrows – the list does go on but the above is the top 5 uses!  I’ve really struggled with dry lips this winter and this is the perfect size to pop into the handbag.

Moving onto the first of the make-up additions is the Laritzy Lip Gloss (Full size RRP £12.00), a vegan and cruelty-free brand from the US. This clear lip gloss that almost everyone will be able to make use out of is formulated to give you an effortless high-gloss without the shimmer, the stickiness and the glue-like feeling and has been designed for ultimate comfort. To get to know the brand that little better Roccabox have also included the Laritzy Lip Liner in the shade Bare  (Full size RRP £13.00) and I think this will pair really well with the Charlotte Tilbury Bond Girl lipstick which has been my go-to all winter! The formula is paraben-free, cruelty-free, and infused with plant oils and waxes to moisturize and protect your lips all day.

Up next and sticking to make-up we have the MUA Pro-Base Prime and Conceal Correcting Wheel (Full size RRP £6.00) and I’ve  got to admit I’ve always been intimidated by these crazy concealer palettes that seem to incorporate entire colour wheels of options!  It comes in a clear plastic palette so that you can see all the colour correctors inside and the reverse side of the palette comes with information about the ingredients and also what each colour does! I’ve not tried this as of yet but for the price I think it’s a great option for beginners.

Last out of the box is the Kawaii Enterprise Brush Cleaning Egg (RRP £7.99) and although I have a couple of these already I guess there’s no harm having another! This brush cleaner slides right on your fingers and features two sets of grooves so you can deep clean all of your brushes throughly, quickly and easily! Bye Bye wrinkly hands!

My Verdict

I think it’s fair to say that this month’s celebratory Roccabox really had it all from the all the new discoveries right through to the value and I think it’s one of their best editions yet not to mention all the generous full sizes they’ve crammed inside for us. For me personally and one of the reasons why I ventured into the beauty box realm is my love for new discoveries and although very often you do see the same products jumping from box to box this edit was so refreshing and contained products universal for almost everyone to enjoy. There’s quite a few favourites inside this month’s box such as the lip liner, the foam lotion and the nipple balm but the item I’m most looking forward to trying out is the correcting wheel.
