What seems like the longest winter ever, finally a new season is upon us and so is the latest Glossybox! The March edition is a beautiful welcome to spring and is filled with products to get us spring ready from skin care to brighten and slough away what winter left behind, a nude lipstick and something to blur and combat those pesky pores! As always, the line-up consists of mainly full sized treats and I’ve got to admit I’m really enjoying all the new offerings they’ve been showcasing recently and this month’s edition is no exception with every single item being new on my radar!

If you’re new to Glossybox, it’s a monthly subscription box that comes packed with both deluxe-sized and full-size products and covers all areas of beauty from skin care, hair, nails, make-up and everything else in between from brands we all love and know as well as those hidden gems too! The box costs £13.25 per month and contains contents which always exceed the overall subscription price.

Without further ado here’s what I received inside my March Glossybox:

Up first and something my skin will most certainly benefit from judging from the description is the Figs and Rouge Soft Focus Pore Perfect HD+ Matte Veil (Full size RRP £35.00). This pore primer is designed to keep the skin shine free, blur pores and also helps to reduce skin impurities and combat breakouts. It can be used alone or as a base for makeup and texture-wise it’s silky and lightweight and left my skin completely matte yet comfy.  It also smooths everything out, making it a great pre-step before makeup. I can see this becoming a firm favourite during the warmer months.

These exfoliating and mask powders seem to be a thing now and need to be mixed with water to fully activate the formula. The Lue by Jean Seo Erase Powder (Full size RRP £11.00) contains milk and oats to gently lift away impurities, leaving the skin soft and pH-balanced. I’m also loving the minimal ingredients behind this product as all it contains is avena sativa (aka oat) kernel flour, non-fat dry milk, and magnesium carbonate, so it’s gentle on the skin.

Sticking to skincare and another new discovery for me is the Mudmasky Sleep Repair Renewal Nourishing Mask (Sample Size 20ml) which hails all the way from Amsterdam and is described as a mask that hydrates, soothes and smooths the skin using fresh, raw and all-natural ingredients. It’s also scented with natural rose water imported from a small village in Persia to help induce a more restful sleep after a long day.

Moving onto make-up and a firm favourite of mine out of the box is the Laura Geller Illuminating Stick in the shade Ballerina (Full Size RRP £19.00) which is beautiful bronze hue and will not fail to give you that sunkissed glow. Created to add a kiss of luminosity to the complexion, it can be worn alone or over the top of foundation for an easy to blend highlight. It’s also boasts an oil-free formula and I love that it’s in a stick form as it’s so easy to use.

Lastly we have the Oryza Beauty Warm Nude Lipstick (Full Size RRP £15.95) and judging by my previous experiences with nude lipsticks (they make me look ghastly!) I didn’t have high hopes at all that this was going to be any different but I was so wrong! This weightless, velvet and satin finish lipstick has moisturising benefits of Oryza’s innovative range and contains natural ingredients; including rice germ oil, shea butter, papaya fruit extract and vitamin E hydrating complex! It also promises to suit all skin tones!

My Verdict

Although this month’s Glossybox arrived a little late it was definitely worth the wait! I think you’ll agree they really hit it out of the park for the March box and they did an excellent job giving me all those spring feels from the lightweight skincare, the dewy highlighter from Laura Geller and the nude lipstick from Oryza which surprisingly is very wearable even for the likes of me who’s looking a little on the pale side however I still think it would look even better with a tan! Line-up wise, this month’s curation was full of interesting brands and products and I was even more chuffed that all the skincare was usable which hardly happens so that was a lovely bonus! Glossybox has been really impressing me as of late and once again the value of the box is incredible but on the flip side I have seen subscribers receive three masks as opposed to a varied line-up like this one so not sure how that curation got the go-ahead.

April Sneak Peek: All subscribers will receive the Eyeko Fat Liquid Liner.
