Today we have an unboxing and review of the *March Pip Box and with spring officially here they’ve curated such a lovely box full of products to help brighten everything from our complexion right down to our feet. This month’s edit not only is a good all-rounder but it’s filled with everyday essentials from brands I’m already familiar with and also some that are completely new on my radar. This month’s curation totals up to an incredible £65.00 which is their highest value yet I think!

If you’re new to Pip Box then they are a strictly cruelty-free beauty subscription and their boxes contain 5 beauty treats, which will be a mix of full sized products and travel sized treats ranging from make-up, skincare, body and hair care products from organic and natural to multi-award winning brands. Their subscriptions start from £13.50 depending on the plan you opt for but you’ll also be pleased to know that 50p from each box sold goes to an animal friendly charity.

So without further ado here are all the goodies that featured inside this month’s box:

Up first and no stranger to Which Beauty Box UK HQ is the Saturated Colour Make Me Matte (RRP Full Size £8.00) and is just one of the items that I picked out for my Summer Edit Beauty Box last year. Make Me Matte may seem gimmicky at first and even I was a little sceptical but it really does work and has saved quite a few of my lipsticks from going in the bin. This genius solution transforms a glossy lipstick into matte in one swipe. Apply over the top of your existing satin/shiny/glossy/cream lipstick and watch as the Make Me Matte turns the lipstick matte before your very eyes! Wipe Make Me Matte clean with a tissue or cotton pad after each use.

If you’ve been wanting to try more from Saturated Colour you’re in luck as next out of the box we have the Moisturising Lipstick in Naked Pink (Full Size RRP £7.00), a moisture enriched, semi-matte lipstick with a long-lasting finish. The shade is a really pretty pop of pink and it’s very wearable too.

The bulk of this month’s incredible value comes from the Dr Botanicals Tropical Invigorating Cream (Full Size) which retails for £44.00 so it’s a very generous addition and isn’t a product I’ve tried before. I’m not going to lie but I thought this was a body cream at first which I would preferred if I’m completely honest as a skin care product from this same brand was only featured last month. Described as a lightweight cream, it’s formulated with elderflower to protect and repair the skin, Chamomile Flower Extract to heal and soothe irritated and damaged skin and Tiare Flower Extract which deeply moisturises, nourishes and purifies the skin. Not sure how my oily skin will react to this but I’ll definitely give it a go.

I know opinions on makeup remover wipes are pretty varied in the beauty community, but I personally still find them nice to have on hand and the Raw Ganic Refreshing Aloe and Green Tea Facial Wipes (RRP £2.99) are completely new on my radar as a brand. These refreshing wipes are a quick and effective way to cleanse, tone and refresh your skin, while gently removing make-up. The combination of Aloe Vera & Green Tea soothes and purifies your skin and is gentle enough for very sensitive skin. The wipes are made from 100% organic cotton.

Last out of the box and another new discovery the is Okko Skincare ‘Try Me’ Organic Calendula and Eucalyptus Foot Balm (Sample Size RRP £3.00) which is infused with Organic Calendula Oil to calm and soothe the skin as well helping the tissue regeneration and healing process. Eucalyptus brings in another boost of healing and soothing skin and it will leave your feet nicely refreshed. With sandal weather on the horizon this is another apt addition amongst the line-up.

My Verdict

Overall, I’m loving what Pip Box picked out for us and it’s already getting me in the spring mood thanks to the tropical invigorating moisturiser, lazy-day skincare in the form of the wipes, the foot balm and of course the pretty pink lipstick from Saturated Colour. This month’s edition is so refreshing and it’s filled with essentials that I know I’ll almost certainly be able to get use out of daily which alone gets full marks from me as it’s always a disappointment when you open up a beauty box to find that nothing’s likeable or usable but this is definitely not one of those occasions! On the downside, I wasn’t so thrilled to see another skin care product from Dr Botanicals so soon (one was featured last month) but other than that I really enjoyed unboxing this month’s goodies

If you want to explore more cruelty-free options or thinking of making the switch then I highly recommend checking out the Pip Box plus they also include some discount codes which you can redeem via the brands featured.
