Fuelling my love for all things make-up, this month’s Look Incredible Deluxe Beauty Box is a makeup lover’s dream and just when I think they can’t impress me any more they go and do it again! Featuring some major players such as Tarte, Too Faced, Benefit and Urban Decay their April edition really ranks high when it comes to favourite editions from them. As always every single item is full sized which means the £35.00 price tag is very quickly redeemed as the value is around £90-£100 each month.

If you’re new to Look Incredible they offer three types of beauty boxes which range from £25 to £65 and aim to deliver lust worthy beauty treats (mainly make-up) from brands we all love and know straight to your door and no spoilers are released so it’s a complete surprise when it arrives.

Here’s what I received inside the April Deluxe edition:

Up first is the Too Faced Melted Metal Liquified Metallic Lipstick (Full size RRP £19.00) and I received the shade Peony. Look Incredible sent a variety of shades, and although I usually avoid shimmery lipsticks, I don’t mind this one as it’s a gorgeous peachy pink shade with a subtle golden shimmer, perfect for the summer months. Melted Metal is described as a liquified metallic lipstick and comfortably coats lips in bursts of rich, glazed, metallic color that melts on and makes a statement.

Next we have the Benefit That Gal Primer (Full size RRP £24.50) something I have used on and off for years but ran out a couple of years ago and didn’t bother to replace it! I’ve not missed it to be fair but I’m quite happy to be reacquainted again. This silky pink primer takes your complexion from dull to darling and you simply blend it on for the look of brighter, smoother skin. It contains light-reflecting pigments to help brighten all skin tones and raspberry & chamomile to soothe the skin. From what I remember this gives an absolutely gorgeous “lit from within” type of glow to the skin but I didn’t notice it helping my foundation last longer or apply any better if I’m honest – I just loved that I could skip my foundation and get away with just this primer for those lazy days!

There’s always one showstopper inside the Look Incredible Deluxe Box usually a palette or a high end product and this month that title goes to the Tarte Rainforest Of The Sea Vol iii Highlighting Eyeshadow Palette (RRP £30.00) – isn’t it beautiful? Housed inside a pretty palette is eight shadows which catch the light for instant eye-illuminating effects. The oxygenated light-reflecting spheres highlight lids for your smoothest, most even application and formula-wise it’s part cream, part powder—all you need is the warmth of your fingers to apply while the antioxidant-charged Rainforest of the Sea™ complex helps to hydrate & protect lids. The long wearing neutral shades include a matte nude transition to pair with a myriad of microshimmers to make eyes appear brighter & more awake. Did I mention you can also use each shade to highlight other areas of the face for a soft-focus, all-over glow. The shades are perfect for the likes of me who much prefers to go subtle on the lids!

Last out of the box we have the Urban Decay All Nighter Eyeliner Waterproof Perversion (Full Size RRP £20.00), a creamy formula that twists up, glides on and dries down to a long-lasting waterproof finish. I’ve been let down by quite a few brands who promise the world and deliver nothing when it comes to eyeliners so you could say my expectations were not high at all – well that changed very quickly!  The Urban Decay All Nighter Eyeliner in Perversion comes in a  twist up pencil which is great as it doesn’t need to be sharpened which saves a lot of product from being wasted. The eyeliner is insanely pigmented, glides smoothly on the waterline and is such an intense shade of black. I’m not kidding but once set this stayed on for around 8 hours and didn’t smudge or budge – new favourite eyeliner right here!

My Verdict

It’s not every day that you find all your favourite brands inside a beauty box and Look Incredible have once again have knocked it out of the park for their April edition – I don’t know how they pull it off month on month but the shades were spot on too which doesn’t happen often considering how picky I can be! Showcasing such an amazing array of brands, it’s going to be a tough one to beat so hope we’re not in for a dud next month! As always, every single item is full sized and totals up to a respectable £93.00 and surprisingly it’s still in stock! Standouts so far include the eyeliner which really does stay put and of course the Tarte Palette which contains a host of wearable shades perfect for both day and night.

If you want to discover premium and high end brands at a fraction of the price each month, the deluxe box really is great for that!
