It’s been a while since I featured a Pink Parcel review so I’m delighted to be reacquainted again and with this particular subscription boasting so many benefits such as monthly supplies and feel good treats, I for sure really missed it! Their May edition is all about nourishing and caring for our skin which sounds good to me as summer is soon upon us! Line-up wise it’s a good all-rounder that covers skin and body care, make-up, sweet treats and of course those monthly essentials to get us through that time of the month!

If you’re new to Pink Parcel it’s a subscription service for your monthly cycle who send you what you need, right when you need it as well as some lovely treats to brighten up those days of the month. With three dispatch dates to choose from, Pink Parcel literally take care of everything and will ship your box before your period is due. If you’re worried about flows and absorbencies, they have that covered too as you can choose your preferred brand as well as the type of sanitary items to suit your flow making it completely bespoke to your needs.

Without further ado here’s what you can expect to see inside this month’s Pink Parcel:

The more I try from Dr Botanicals the more I fall in love with this brand so it was lovely to have the opportunity to try another product from their collection in the form of their Coconut Oil Rejuvenating Exfoliating Bar (RRP £19.90). This all-in-one product promises to hydrate, cleanse and gently exfoliate and can be used for the face, body and hands. It contains shredded coconut to gently exfoliate while the coconut oil moisturises the skin. The main active ingredients in the formulation is shell powder which contains nutrients that promote healthy joints, like collagen, chondroitin, glucosamine, and hyaluronic acid.

On the make up front subscribers will either receive the Laritzy’s Lip or Eye Pencil and I received the Lip Pencil (Full size RRP £18.00) in the shade Cabernet which looks very similar to one I received last September from Pink Parcel! Described as long-wearing, the formula is smooth and creamy, meaning it goes on easily and won’t dry out your lips.

I do love a good hand cream preferably one that’s not too greasy and makes your hands so slippery that you can’t even get the lid back on – thankfully the NAOBAY Orange Juice Hand Cream isn’t one those creams! I received this inside another beauty box a couple of years ago and remember it being easy to blend, not sticky, quite pleasant to wear due to the orange scent and it left my hands feeling nice and soft.

Another area of beauty I love sampling is bath and body so the Anatomicals Sud The Lot Of You – Get Lost Grime Body Cleanser (sachet sample) was another welcome addition amongst the line-up but I’m kind of wishing it was a bigger sample as I’ve already used mine up! With an exotic scent of mango and papaya, this body cleanser leaves your skin clean, soft and smelling like a dreamy Caribbean island – it really does! It’s made with real fruit extracts and free from DEA’S, sulphates, parabens and SLS’s.

Moving onto to skin care we have the Optiat Nourishing & Hydrating Face Mask (sample sachet), a nourishing and hydrating facemask that’s made from marshmallow root, English hemp and activated charcoal to gently cleanse and detoxify skin.

Tea and Sweet Treats – 2 items

As well as the beauty line up you can also expect to see a sample of tea and foodie treats – the perfect mix to kerb those cravings and as always they sure do hit the spot but always disappear so quickly!

Inside this month’s curation you can expect to see a bar of Conscious Chocolate the dark side and a sachet of Drink Me Chai Spiced Chai Latte.

My Verdict

It’s been four months since I last reviewed a Pink Parcel and although the box itself doesn’t appear to have gone through any major changes (phew!), it still does exactly what it intends to but I’m not sure how I feel about the sachet samples included within this month’s edit – I’m hoping this isn’t going to be a regular occurrence. While we’re on the subject on change, it’s really promising to see that Pink Parcel have now enclosed a self-paid envelope inside their boxes which enables subscribers to return any unopened sanitary items and in return they’ll be sent to local charities. Line-wise, I especially like how everything smells – from the hand cream and coconut exfoliating bar, to the Anatomicals Body Wash (I so need to buy the full size!). Pink Parcel costs £12.99 per month and it’s worth every penny, especially if like you’re like me and always doing an emergency dash to the supermarket for supplies when you’ve forgotten to restock plus it really is a lovely pick me up as in addition to all the beautifying goodies you also get a sample of tea and a sweat treat usually in the form of chocolate.
