Continuing with the Pride celebrations (have you ever been, it’s full of good vibes!), I absolutely love that Glossybox have dedicated this month’s box to specifically support the LGBT community. This special edition is emblazoned with the emblematic spectrum of Pride with a line-up that’s dominated by a mainly make-up line-up making it such a fun and cheerful curation aimed to make one feel ‘empowered, bold and unique’. Whilst the contents usually vary from box to box, everyone will receive the same this month with the exception of the face mask as there’s two different variants.

If you’re new to Glossybox, it’s a monthly subscription box that comes packed with both deluxe-sized and full-size products and covers all areas of beauty from skin care, hair, nails, make-up and everything else in between from brands we all love and know as well as those hidden gems too! The box costs £13.25 per month and contains contents which always exceed the overall subscription price.

Here’s what I received inside my August edition:

First out of the box we have the 3INA The Shadow Paint 703 (Full size RRP £8.95) which was revealed within the sneak peek last month. So as always I’m happy to be introduced to a new cruelty-free brand but I’m not entirely thrilled with the shade if I’m honest – it’s just not me but it seriously does pack a punch! This long lasting waterproof eyeshadow provides intense, magnetic colour for all day wear.

Sticking to make up is the Trifle Cosmetics Lip & Cheek Jam (Full size £17.50), something I’ve tried previously so I wasn’t excited to see this again! The water-based formula promises to give you a sweet, healthy, natural flush of colour that lasts for 10 amazingly hydrated hours. I find this really tricky to use as a blush as its not the easiest formula to manoeuvre but as a lip product, the shade is wearable.

Another new discovery for me is the KALEIDO COSMETICS Astrolight Highlighter (Full size £13.00), a creamy and very pretty, 8-hour highlighter that contains ultra-concentrated pearls and mica pigments packed tightly in a lightweight gel base that is literally blinding from the moment you drop it on according to their website!

If you’re off to any festivals this month, there’s quite a few products inside this edit that are fitting for the occasion but the Rimmel London Ink Me Stamp + Sticker Tattoos (RRP £4.99) are the absolute cutest. Whist the tattoo’s aren’t really my thing, I usually use these on my nails instead but having said that I can see my little sister taking both of these! I’m a little obsessed with the heart stamp, it’s so, so adorable and can be used pretty much anywhere!

Moving onto to skin care we have the Victoria’s Secret PINK Let’s Pre-Glam Perfecting Sheet Mask  (x1 RRP £4.30) which preps the skin for  for totally flawless makeup and also contains hyaluronic acid which act as a  super skin conditioner.

My Verdict

So as you’ve probably already gathered, I think I was more into the design and theme of this month’s Pride edition as opposed to the contents this month but I’m going to let that slide as to be fair I’m not the easiest to please when it comes to make-up. In terms of the theme, it was executed to perfection and even though there was a few items I probably won’t get use out of I really liked the fun and creativity they brought to the August edition.
