My last post of the month (where the hell did this month go?) features the July Pip Box and as always it does an excellent job brightening my day from the cheerful packaging right through to the cruelty-free goodies inside. This month’s Jet Set edition is all about bite sized beauty – you know the ones that can easily fit into your luggage meaning more room for shoes, bikinis and handbags! Unlike previous editions which offer more variety on the line-up front, it was a nice change to see mainly make-up this month plus they’ve even included a couple of products that have you covered when it comes to sun protection front which is very appropriate at the moment.

As of Monday 23rd July, Pip Box have changed their subscription plans and pricing. For more information please click here

If you’re new to Pip Box then they are a strictly cruelty-free beauty subscription and their boxes contain 5 beauty treats, which will be a mix of full sized products and travel sized treats ranging from make-up, skincare, body and hair care products from organic and natural to multi-award winning brands. Their subscriptions start from £20.00 depending on the plan you opt for but you’ll also be pleased to know that 50p from each box sold goes to an animal friendly charity.

So without further ado here are all the goodies that featured inside this month’s box:

With no signs of the temperature cooling down, I think the addition of the Green People Organic SPF15 Sun Lotion (Sample size) was a smart choice this month especially if you’re anything like me and forget to apply SPF. This effective, natural broad-spectrum UVA & UVB protection increases collagen & contains antioxidants to help prevent UV damage but the best bit is it also contains a natural tan accelerator that gives you 25% more tan. It’s also water repellent but not pore-clogging – ideal for prickly heat and includes beneficial ingredients such as Organic Aloe Vera, Edelweiss, Inositol, Green Tea & Avocado. I really like the sound of this lotion and will probably be more inclined to apply this due to the accelerator!

Up next and another really handy addition that I’m glad made the cut for their July edit is the Make-up Eraser Mini Travel Cloth (RRP £5.00) which offers a chemical free alternative to traditional makeup removers! This brand in particular has fast become one of the most popular products on the American beauty market and promises to remove even the toughest makeup including waterproof mascara and eyeliner. It’s also machine washable and lasts more the 1,000 washes!

My make-up application time has been cut in half recently as I’ve been skipping foundation – it’s way too hot to have anything heavy on your skin and Peony Matcha BB Powder with SPF15 (Full size £16.99) sounds like a good alternative. This talc-free weightless BB powder contains Matcha Green Tea and enables you to create a lustrous, flawless finish, while protecting your skin with broad spectrum SPF. It can be used either on its own or on top of liquid foundation for fuller coverage.

Sticking to make-up we have the La Ritzy Black Eye Pencil (Full size £15.00), a dramatic and bold eye pencil designed for a flawless application. I love trying out new eyeliners and seeing if they stand up to my current favourite so I’ll definitely be giving this one a go.

Lastly and a brand that does a such pretty collection of lashes is Vintage Cosmetics and whilst I usually opt for their Daisy lashes I’m really excited to their Betty False Eyelashes (RRP £6.00) which are the ultimate lashes to create almond-shaped eyes plus you can reuse them up to four times (I can vouch for that!)

My Verdict

Another fabulous month by the Pip Box! I really enjoyed their July offering and loved the emphasis on make-up which was a nice treat. It’s really hard to pick a favourite this month but I think the sun cream, make-up remover and the BB powder look rather promising. If you’re thinking of making the switch to cruelty-free it’s so easily possible with this subscription, I’ve come across numerous brands that I have truly come to love all thanks to Pip Box plus they also include some discount codes which you can redeem via the brands featured.
