I think my nose is going to be pretty sad saying goodbye to all the wonderful summery scents I’ve been receiving from Secret Scent Box and with that in mind their August edition rounds off the season perfectly and contains a collection of fragrances from Calvin Klein, Hollister and Vera Wang, all of which I’ve not tried before so that’s a plus.

If you’re new to Secret Scent Boxit’s a monthly subscription that contains three fragrances with at least 30 days use and with popular perfume houses within their portfolio it’s the perfect destination to trial new launches and classics in the comfort of your own home and also boasts being letter box friendly too so you don’t have to worry about missed deliveries!

Here’s what they featured inside their August edition:

1. Calvin Klein Eternity Air

Top notes: Sky Air Accord, Grapefruit, Blackcurrant Heart notes: Lily Of The Valley, Pear, Peony Base notes: Musk, Ambergris, Cedarwood.

Creating a new, fresh fragrance, Eternity Air by Calvin Klein captures all of the different shades of the atmosphere with sky of the sky accord – airy, yet dense – like the soft breath of a pulse. Unlike the original, this version for me is much more likeable and is so refreshing for this time of the year.

2. Vera Wang Lovestruck

Top Notes: luscious pink guava, heavenly angelica flower, lush mandarin. Middle notes: Indian jasmin sambac, delicate tuberose buds, watery blue lotus blossom. Base notes: sheer musk, precious woods, addictive vanilla.

Feminine, romantic, spontaneous: Lovestruck, by Vera Wang, is all about Vera’s interpretation of love, playing off of a modern twist on Romeo and Juliet. Think lovestruck lovers and the emotion and rush you feel when you are falling in love—that heart-pounding, spontaneous feeling! Like many of Vera Wang’s fragrances, this is an another sweet and flowery feminine perfume and is most definitely my favourite from the selection this month.

3. Hollister Free Wave

Top notes: Agave nectar, Blackberry, Madarin Heart notes: Apple Blossom, Orchid, Water Lily Base notes: Moss, Orcanox, Patchouli

I’ve never really looked into Hollister’s range of scents but one for thing for sure is their stores always smells amazing so I had really high hopes for this! This is a divine fresh, floral and fruity scent yet is also quite light so it’s perfect for those days when you don’t want anything too overpowering. Despite being an light fragrance it has a surprising longevity.

My Verdict

When it comes to scents, I’m not the easiest to please so to like all three picks this month is quite novel plus they all brought something different to the table whilst keeping in with those summer vibes. If I had to choose a favourite I’d say the Vera Wang Lovestruck is definitely one I’ll be adding to the wish list and as for the Hollister scent, this surprised me the most out of the three as I really didn’t expect to like it as much as i do! If you frequently like to mix up your perfume and don’t want to commit to buying full size bottles, or want to experiment a bit then it’s definitely worth checking out this subscription.
