We’re not even near the end the month and already I can’t wait to see the back of it! I’ve been a bit AWOL recently due to three birthdays in the family which all fell on the same weekend, ridiculous overtime and typically that monthly visitor decided to pay a visit too so it’s been a really stressful month so far! Anyway I was kinda relieved to see that my Pink Parcel arrived on time despite some teething problems and this month they’ve teamed up with the amazing guys at the Eve Appeal, a UK national charity raising awareness and funding research into the five gynaecological cancers – womb, ovarian, cervical, vulval and vaginal. Keeping to the theme, you can expect to see a makeover of the ‘for now’ pouch which is covered in hearts in addition to the usual beauty treats and time of the month essentials. The line-up once again covers beauty and some extra treats to kerb those cravings in the form of tea and chocolate – they really do think about every single aspect when they curate their boxes.

If you’re new to Pink Parcel it’s a subscription service for your monthly cycle who send you what you need, right when you need it as well as some lovely treats to brighten up those days of the month. With three dispatch dates to choose from, Pink Parcel literally take care of everything and will ship your box before your period is due. If you’re worried about flows and absorbencies, they have that covered too as you can choose your preferred brand as well as the type of sanitary items to suit your flow making it completely bespoke to your needs.

Without further ado here’s what you can expect to see inside this month’s Pink Parcel:

As a person who gets up every day at 6.00 am and still has minimal time to get myself together before work, I’m always on the hunt for hair products that strike a happy medium for me – something that will help my hair look great while still being realistic for my hectic, ain’t-no-body-got-time-for-that lifestyle and dry shampoos are such a daily staple for me! Percy & Reed is a brand that I already use and love and excitingly I don’t think I’ve actually come across their Radiance Revealing Invisible Dry Shampoo (travel size). Unlike others, this one doesn’t leave any white cast behind and does a pretty good job hiding those greasy roots.

Moving onto make-up and an area I love discovering is eyeliners, my eyes are lined every single day without fail! I’ve tried the Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen (travel size)in the shade Black Noir previously and  was really impressed by the pigmentation of the blackness but on the flip side it does transfer under the waterline. I think I’ll definitely give this another go though.

Up next and worth £24.90 is the Skin Chemists Skin Chemists Rose Quartz Lip Plump (Full size) which promises to give you a fuller pout without the pain and commitment offered by fillers. It’s also designed to hydrate the lip leaving them soft and lightly glossy. With key ingredient Volulip, derived from the ‘Kiss Me Quick’ plant, this lip plump aims to stimulate the production of Hyaluronic Acid, producing an active plumping effect. Circulation of blood to the surface of the lip is further enhanced by Peppermint Oil producing a fuller pout.

I do love a good face mask and these are becoming a regular addition inside Pink Parcel as of late which I’m totally fine with! This month you can expect to see the award wining BeautyPro Nourising Collagen Sheet Mask with Olive extract (x1) which is an anti-ageing formula that combats fine lines, wrinkles, sun-damage and dull skin while improving skin clarity, rebalance uneven skin tone and diminish pigmentation resulting in soft, supple skin with a youthful glow.

A brand I have a lot of time for is Anatomicals so I was pretty pleased to see their No Old Bags Allowed Revitalising Eye Gel (sample size)! The gel has a skin-tightening and cooling formula which brightens the skin and reduces bags under the eyes.

Tea and Sweet Treats – 2 items

As well as the beauty line up you can also expect to see a sample of tea and foodie treats – the perfect mix to kerb those cravings and as always they sure do hit the spot but always disappear so quickly!

Inside this month’s curation you can expect to see the Seed and Bean Cornish Sea Salt and Lime chocolate bar (RRP £1.00) and a sachet of Drink Me Chai Latte Sugar Free.

My Verdict

Their September edit didn’t beat last month’s which in all fairness was going to be a tough one to compete with but I did like majority of what they featured and the fact they teamed up with The Eve Appeal as awareness raising on such topics so, so important. I think the only aspect that was lacking for me was the variety on the beauty front as the line-up was mainly dominated by skin care but other than that it’s still one of the best valued subscriptions and a very handy one at that!
