As October comes to a close, it’s time to unveil the latest Pip Box and I’ve definitely saved the best until last as it’s my absolute favourite from the month! Their Midnight Edit literally covers you from the evening right through to the morning after and it’s such a well thought out edit which touches on make-up, hair, skin care pick me ups and some edible treats! Did I mention this month’s edit also boasts amazing value as four out of the six products are full sized this month!

As of Monday 23rd July 2018, Pip Box have changed their subscription plans and pricing. For more information please click here

If you’re new to Pip Box then they are a strictly cruelty-free beauty subscription and their boxes contain 5 beauty treats, which will be a mix of full sized products and travel sized treats ranging from make-up, skincare, body and hair care products from organic and natural to multi-award winning brands. Their subscriptions start from £20.00 depending on the plan you opt for but you’ll also be pleased to know that 50p from each box sold goes to an animal friendly charity.

So without further ado here are all the goodies that featured inside this month’s box:

Since delving into the world of beauty subscription boxes, this is the first time I’ve come across a product from Aveda and isn’t a brand I’ve tried much from. Their Damage Remedy Intensive Restructuring Treatment which comes in a good travel size (25ml RRP £9.00) is described as an intensive weekly treatment which deeply penetrates to help repair, seal and smooth even the most damaged hair. It uses the power of pure plant oils and quinoa protein and restores health, silkiness and shine.

If you’re a regular reader you’ll know that I absolutely adore Bloomtown so I was really excited to see their Black Clay Face Mask (Full size RRP £12.00) as I’ve been wanting to try this but just never got round to buying it so this was definitely a nice surprise! Recommended for oily and acne-prone complexions, it’s formulated with anti-bacterial tea tree oil and white willow bark extract, a natural pore-exfoliant. Our plant glycerine formula does not dry out like traditional masks.

This month’s Pip Box has seriously got me all excited over their skin care picks and up next we have the Tisserand Tea Tree and Aloe Rescue Stick (Full size RRP £4.50) which is another beneficial addition for me. This targeted treatment gel for normal to oily and blemish prone skin contains skin-purifying Tea Tree 100% natural pure essential oil, cooling Aloe Vera and natural astringent Witch Hazel to help to soothe & calm minor blemishes & skin irritations – all artfully blended by the experts at Tisserand Aromatherapy.

Party season is soon upon us making the Cougar Shimmering Body Tonic (Full size RRP £7.99 such an apt addition inside this month’s addition. Themed on a Singapore Sling, it contains a sweet blend of cherry, lemon and pineapple and not only nourishes the skin but excites and enchants the senses, ensuring good mood all day long. Bursting with vitamin C which acts as an antioxidant, it reduces dark spots and circles, acts as an anti-inflammatory and fights lines and wrinkles. This smells absolutely incredible –  shame you can’t actually drink it!

On the make-up front is the Manna Kadar Priming Lip Wand (Full size RRP £18.00) which is formulated with a built in primer while the smooth application keeps lips hydrated with pigment lasts for hours. It’s also enriched with Vitamin A & E & Berry Extract to keep lips nourished.

Lastly we have a bonus treat in the form of The Protein Ball Co. Lemon and Pistachio Protein Balls (RRP £1.29), delicious hand-made protein balls, which are lovingly made with pea protein, rice protein, pitted dates, LemonCoconut and Cashew Nuts and pistachios .

My Verdict

Pip Box have really been impressing me as of late even more so than usual the last couple of months and this  edition is no exception – just when I think they can’t wow me anymore they go and pull out this little box of cruelty-free goodies with a lovely theme and excellent value to match. Their October line-up featured such a nice selection of new products to try but I particularly liked the skin care this month (I don’t say that often!) as the products were really well-suited in terms of my skin care concerns. The only downside for me was the protein balls as I’m allergic to pistachios but other than that job well done Pip Box!

If you’re thinking of making the switch to cruelty-free it’s so easily possible with this subscription, I’ve come across numerous brands that I have truly come to love all thanks to Pip Box plus they also include some discount codes which you can redeem via the brands featured.
