Glossybox sure had a tough job on their hands to top last month’s line-up but I think they’ve done a great job on their December All That Glitters edition. Containing a good mix of beauty in the form of skin, body care and make up, the contents are enclosed within a special festive designed box and inside it’s wrapped to perfection with gold wrapping and of course the signature ribbon! Unfortunately, the December edition has now sold out so if you do subscribe this month you’ll receive a welcome box and you will also be guaranteed to get the January edition which contains a skincare product worth a whopping £98.00!

If you’re new to Glossybox, it’s a monthly subscription box that comes packed with both deluxe-sized and full-size products and covers all areas of beauty from skin care, hair, nails, make-up and everything else in between from brands we all love and know as well as those hidden gems too! The box costs £13.25 per month and contains contents which always exceed the overall subscription price.

Here’s what I received inside my December Glossybox:

First out of the box and my absolute favourite is the Doucce Relentless Matte Lip Crayon (Full size RRP £16.95) in the shade winterberry and it’s such a beautiful shade of red and I particular love that it’s a matte crayon. Described as a long-lasting deeply pigmented lip colour that glides on with an ultra-matte finish, the formula provides both high coverage and an incredibly creamy saturated finish, ideal for every skin tone.

While we’re on the subject of matte lips, I can see the Beauty Blvd Divine Hydra Gel Lip Mask (x1 mask) coming in really handy as I’m a regular user of matte lipsticks and the downside to this is some of the formulas can be really drying. Developed with cutting edge Hydra-Gel technology, each mask contains natural Green Tea extract, nourishing Red Seaweed Plant and moisture boosting Hyaluronic Acid for prolonged hydration. Anti-Oxidant rich Red Wine extract and Collagen components help to plump and smooth lips for an overall more youthful appearance.

Up next we have the Bellapierre Cosmetic Shimmer Roll (Full size RRP £19.99) which is something I’ve previously received via the Look Fantastic Box but isn’t something that I’ve reached for so I wasn’t excited to see this again! This iridescent rollerball can be used on both the face and body and contains pure pigments that blend seamlessly and shimmers endlessly.

The third make-up addition and a brand new discovery for me is the Nico Pro Liquid Jelly Blush in the shade Bali (Full size £12.99) and contains shimmers of gold combined with a pink hue in an unique jelly formula that’s hydrating, pigmented and lightweight.

I love unicorn anything so I was delighted to see that the Imperial Leather Fantasy  Icons Cosmic Unicorn Shower Gel (Full size) made the cut this month! It opens with a cosmic ray of pink grapefruit and electromagnetic citrus crush, evolving into an interstellar heart of luminous white florals orbited by celestial rose and freesia. Its intensive revitalising properties mean you’ll be jumping over rainbows all day according to their website!

Last but not least we have a bonus sixth product in the form of MayBeauty The Incredible Pore Strip, a brand I’ve not come across before but these little strips are always handy to have in your stash plus does anyone else find it really satisfying to see all the gunk it removes!

My Verdict

I think we can all agree that Glossybox sure had a tough job on their hands to top last month’s line-up but they’ve done an equally good job on the curation of their December All That Glitters edition – in fact I think I actually prefer this version as I wasn’t a fan of the Huda Beauty Liquid lipstick shade plus they’ve also managed to sneak in unicorns, a nice shade of red lip crayon and a hell of a lot of full sizes! Apart from the shimmer roll and the jelly blush, I really can’t knock this month’s edition and as always the value and generous sized products really makes this subscription worthwhile. Overall, I think Glossybox have had one of their best years yet and I’m looking forward to seeing what they have in store for us in 2019.

In other news and in case you’re wondering why I’ve not been very active on here, my consultant broke the news to me last week that I’ve got stage 3 cancer. I will continue to blog as much as I can as I refuse to let this defeat me plus any distraction is very welcome right now.

Have a lovely New Year and thank you to each and every one of you for your support this year.
