Another cheery delivery has arrived and it’s the February Birchbox which sees a collaboration with notonthehighstreet – the home of thoughtful gifts! From handmade homeware to personalised posters, the gorgeous box design is from their partner Miss Bespoke Papercuts and it’s so, so pretty – at this rate I won’t be throwing any of my empty boxes out this month! Just like last month, they’ve thrown in a few full sizes and the line-up touches on a good area of beauty. I’ve already got a few new favourites so that’s a good start! If you fancy subscribing don’t forget to use the code at the end of this post to get a free full-size The Beauty Crop Espresso Yourself eyeshadow palette (worth £23!)!
If you’re new to Birchbox they are one of the main leaders in the beauty box subscription market. Each month they’ll send you 5 deluxe sample and travel size beauty products (including the occasional full-size!) You can expect a mix of make-up, skincare, body, and haircare to upgrade your beauty routine.
Without further ado here’s what I received inside my February Birchbox (Contents may vary. Please see the February spoiler post to see what you may receive).
Due to personal preferences I’m not a fan of liquid shadows so I wasn’t too fussed about the LOC Liquid Shimmer Shadow (Full Size) however I do like the shade so maybe I’ll give this a go – who knows it might even convert me! This liquid shimmer eye shadow provides a subtle hint of colour and shine that can be layered for a bolder look. The water-based formula feels lightweight and comfortable on your lids while providing long- lasting wear.
Up next and sticking to make-up we have the Luxie 205 Tapered Blending Dreamcatcher Brush (Full Size RRP £11.00) which is described as a fluffy blending brush and is the ideal companion to powder and cream eye shadows alike. It has soft synthetic bristles and is vegan, cruelty-free, and hypoallergenic to give a flawless finish with minimal effort.
Moving onto hair is the Coco & Eve Like A Virgin Super Nourishing Coconut & Fig Hair Masque (30ml) which is something I’ve received previously via another box and completely forgot about it so I’ll definitely be popping this into my bathroom cabinet! This 5-in-1 hair treatment works in just 10 minutes and promises to strengthen, repair, tame frizz and treat split ends thanks to raw virgin coconuts and Argan Oil.
It always makes me smile when an Anatomicals product pops up inside one of my boxes even more so when it’s one of their shower gels! The No One Gets Flirty With The Dirty Pick Me Up Body Wash (Full Size) is described as a invigorating pick me up to ease you into your morning with a subtle floral fragrance to wake up your senses, leaving you ready to face the day!
Last out of the box and another favourite of mine is the philosophy Pure Grace Nude Rose EDT (Travel size) which has both a feminine and romantic kick to it yet is very subtle! I love rose anything so I knew I would instantly fall in love with this scent plus it’s perfect for the upcoming spring months. The scent is described as a delicate blush rose balanced by clean dewy greens, neroli and bright orange flower, cocooned in the warmth and sensuality of cedarwood and sun-kissed musk.
My Verdict
After a fabulous January edition, I think this month’s Birchbox collaboration with Notonthehighstreet was just as loveable. I really liked the brands they teamed up with, the line-up was well rounded and they also treated us to quite a few full sizes again which is always welcome. I think the only item that I wasn’t excited by was the LOC liquid eyeshadow but I will give it a go as the shade is really pretty. My favourites so far include the shower gel and the brush but the ultimate winning product was indeed the fragrance! All in all, this month’s Birchbox turned out to be another good edition for me!
